The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra - Highland Cathedral

This immensely popular piece was inspired by the visit to Scotland of two professional composers/musicians. The towering mountains of the Highlands and the serenity prompted them to compose for bagpipes this music on the theme of a Highland Cathedral.
Originally performed by a combination of pipe band and military band this arrangement reflects the Cathedral setting using bells, organs, pipes and full orchestration to combine the spiritual with the scenic beauties of the Highlands.
Recorded live at the Perth Concert Hall, Feb 2020.
This is a powerful arrangement and well merits the title of our CD.
