Use the compatible apps on your smartphone without having to operate it.
Once connected to your PEUGEOT, the compatible apps are displayed on the 7-inch touchscreen in a format that does not compromise driving safety.
With Mirror Screen, you can also use your compatible favorite apps in your vehicles: listen to web radios from all over the world and audio books or use a GPS system to get to your destination faster.
We explain how you can use the Mirror Link function with the help of the MirrorLink technology for smartphones with Android.
With the engine running, connect your smartphone to the USB port. Note: for security reasons and depending on the phone, the display is deleted or restricted. In this case, control takes place via the touchscreen of your PEUGEOT. Press “Connect” (108) or “Menu / Communication Services / MirrorLink” (new 208 / new partner) on the touchscreen of your vehicle.
With the CarPlay technology, which has been available since the end of 2015, you can use your iPhone's apps on the touchscreen of your PEUGEOT. Look forward to a safe user experience.
To use Android Auto, you need to have a car or a car radio installed after purchase which are compatible with Android Auto™, and a phone running Android version 5.0 (Lollipop) or later.
First download the Android Auto app to your smartphone from the Google Play store.
When you connect your Android phone to the compatible car or car radio, your applications will be displayed on the car's screen thanks to Android Auto™. To find out more about Android Auto™ compatibility, go to support.google.com/androidauto.
A few words are enough. Control everything quickly and easily using your voice, thanks to advanced voice technology (requires an internet connection). Make calls and send or receive messages while keeping your hands on the wheel.
Let Google Maps™ guide you. Thanks to features like turn-by-turn voice navigation, information on traffic conditions and street direction arrows, you will reach your destination very easily.

Android Auto is available on all PEUGEOT models with a touchscreen.
Android Auto is compatible with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and above.

Make sure your phone has a strong and fast network connection.

Access your ‘Maps’ via the color touchscreen and get turn-by-turn directions, information on traffic conditions and estimated travel time. Type an address or your postcode via the touchscreen or ask OK Google to guide you there.

Mirror Screen offers 3 mirroring protocols with which you can connect your smartphone to your touchscreen.

One correction and some good news: If you keep the Voice command button on the steering wheel pressed a little longer, the Peugeot voice control is bypassed and Google Voice command gets activated instead. Works like a charm, just tested successfully with my new 508 GT. Nice video!

Hi, at minute 1:20 appear the menu' where you can choose "Connect Apps" or "Android Auto". Is there any configuration that permit to load "Android Auto" without clicking on it ? Tnx in advance

Thank you for this informative video! We will get our 2008 GT in a couple of weeks and I'm really looking forward to using CarPlay. Our 1st generation 2008 from 2014 struggled so much with connectivity even via Bluetooth. Sounds great how easy it works these days! 😍
And I think it’s okay that it doesn’t work without a cable. Yes, via Bluetooth would be perfect, but you can’t have it all. It's still a Peugeot, not a high-end Mercedes AMG. Maybe in a few years. 😅

Thanks a lot for this video,we got our 3008 today,I am amazed by the high level of quality of internal and performance of the car.The noice and the vibration was almost zero.We had nissan qashaki 2014 previously so I see the comfort is really exeptional in comparison.Anyway,the multimedia waa sort of bothersome as I couldnt see all the fun stuff I was seeing from review videos,now I got some ideas how to set ot up properly.Cant wait to have great memories with our new car:)

Another question: What happens to the map screen/navigation on the PEUGEOT 3D i-Cockpit if you use Android Auto? Is the route also shown there once you use Google Maps or only if you use the actual PEUGEOT navigation?
It will Show only the navigation from car …no Google map on cockpit
Same as my VW Touareg. Absolute monster screen .. Apple CarPlay maybe uses only half of it. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s an apple thing ??
Hi, I picked up my new e208 GT premium yesterday and I love it, but for some reason I cannot get my wireless charging plate to work. Did you test it whilst you had the e208 and if so how did you get it working? Thanks for your help!

I had to remove my phone cover to make it work. Also if you have magnetic/metallic attachment thing on the back of your phone you'll have to remove it to make it work
I’ve just bought a 2020 model of the 208 with the larger screen but if I was buying one new I would not pay the extra money for the larger screen as it is a big con. The settings/air con bars are ALWAYS down each side making the usable part of the screen about 7” if not less. You would be better off with the 7” screen knowing the entire screen is used.

Also they don't do anything. You can't set cooler or warmer directly through them. They're just like "HEY THIS IS THE TEMPERATURE DID YOU SEE IT OK WE'LL TAKE 50% OF YOUR SCREEN"
Thanks for a great video! I got my Peugeot E-208 last fall, and I still haven't gotten the Android Auto to work! I have Android auto on my phone (I have the samsung s10, with Android 12), and I have used Android Auto in other cars, so I know it works on my phone. I also have a good cable, it is the normal charger that comes with Samsung. But could this be the problem? I have tried asking the people at the store who sold me the car (it was brand new), but they just say that they don't really know anything about Android, and can't really help..

Hey thanks for this video! With my Samsung A51 there seem to be connectivity issues. First there is a conflict with the bluetooth phone connection and second while connected with mirror screen e.g. to google maps it keeps disconnecting every few seconds and reads 'check your connection'. Any ideas? Thanks!

@@SDADanCars Yes! That was the problem! The Samsung cable was not suitable and I had to try a couple of others to find the one that finally worked. A tricky issue.

We need an update from peugoet to allow wide-screen (fill up entire screen) and android wireless play, no point having a charging plate if you can't charge and use android auto

Yes, I bought Samsung Galagy A52 for my wife. Works good with that. But still sad, I can't rerplace my phone to Pixel 5 or 6, because probably it will be incompatible.

Hi, i just bought new 3008 car, i install Mypeugoet application on my mobile, however i am not able to connect this application with car over bluetooth, application is showing message that car touch screen SW need to be updated before doing so, i am not sure if it is safe to do so, appreciate to advise if you had experience before.

Sorry, but you described only normal Android Auto features in your video. That's the same like on other cars... Important to know were, is Android Auto especially Google Maps Navigation shown in the 3D cockpit or are only the direction arrows and distance until to change direction is shown (works in my Ford Sync V3.4)?. Better then Android Auto would be, if display mirroring from the mobile to the car display is possible (often not). Wireless Android Auto is probably also not supported (e.g. Fiat 500e 2021 does)?

My Xiaomi Redmi Note7 phone did not work with any other usb cable than the original one from Xiaomi. Android Auto on a Peugeot 2008 Gt line 2018.

I have 2021 3008 GT but as soon as I pull them USB cable ..... poof Android Auto is closed. No way to get it to work wirelessly (and with cable is too annoying!)

hi dan, thx for the info. the fact that 30% of the screen is not used is disapointing for me. also the design of the screen is not attractive . its the same with opel. why is there so much unprofessionalism at psa? the 3d i cockpit is awsome and looks great. consumption is also good (3 cylinder 208). the big leds in the front bumper on the other hand are terrible and ugly so there is a lot to improve til i buy a peugeot.
The 10 inch screen option is a full-on scam, the sides will always be occupied by the climate temperature while the 7inch screen is fully utilized, there is literally no point in buying the 10 inch option

For some unknown reason, mine simply won't connect every once in a while.
Like, it doesn't connect to my S20 nor my Iphone 12. Even with a cable.
Now, BT connection works. Plays musics and such. Just CarPlay and Android Auto that won't work, for god knows why.
The car is literally brand new, bought it last year.

I did a correction it is Mirror Link not Android Auto . Mirror Link was the one which took your screen not just on the LCD on the middle than on the LCD behind steering wheel where the dials are .
And the funny is it is till in the peugeot cathaloge " Mirror Link and Android Auto "

Correction sorry : I meant Mirror Link . Jun 1st 2020 Samsung stopped to support it .
Which is bad because Android Auto is much more worse app . For me the Waze window cropping is just to small can not even see properly . Mirror link was perfect but they stopped to support it which means as well the development stopped and people with more newer phone as Android 8.0 can not use it at all .

I searched the entire car for more USB ports. I used an extra light so I wouldn't miss anything. I have two 12V ports and one USB port.

The dumbest thing about Peugeot is to put a 10-inch screen to use only 60% of the screen because it does not use full screen, it has the same screen ratio as the multimedia of the 3008 2019, so because it changed the multimedia if the screen ratio is the same? What a ridiculous thing

What's the point of this video, and whats the new in this system? I have exactly the same one at my Rifter 2020 GT-LINE, still WITHOUT wireless android auto. I don't think there is anything new. I expect the wireless Android Auto to be available like at al the new VWs. The entertainment system is also not new and haven't been updated for a while. Thought its made by tomtom, its definitely worth than at VW cars. Really pointless video.

@@SDADanCars I see that also in more comfortable cars, Peugeout is keep placing the USB ports in front of multimedia. This is one of ergonomy issues they have. What's a problem to hide the USB inside the armrest? Don't understand it. I really like my Rifter for many of points, but I do understand that I'd never buy a French car again.

It's even sillier when you have the induction changing option in the stprage compartment: you can't close the door !
I had a new VW T-Cross as a rental car and the Android auto connection is made in Bluetooth !!! Peugeot needs to improve that in my opinion.
