  • Part 2 - Myself and my father in-law went canoe camping 3 days. We explored Lakeland Provincial Park's canoe circuit lakes and backcountry campsites. Tried my luck at some fishing ...of course. Great time in the outdoors ! In Episode 2 we portage to a smaller lake and set up camp there. I do some more fishing, the next day we pack up and paddle out ! Hope you enjoyed the 2 videos from this trip ! Please like, share, and comment.
    Moi et mon beau père avons été en canot camping 3 jours.
    Nous avons exploré le Parc Provincial Lakeland et avons essay. les sites de camping en arrière pays. C'était du bon temps passé en plein air !

      Thanks for watching ! It's always fun to make trip videos. The desert is cool in it's own way though, I'd like to do some trips there sometime, my favorite is boreal forest though, that is what I'm most familiar with.

    I love the outdoors and when you said 'listen to the silence' it reminded me of telling my children the same thing.
    You are truly blessed to have such great, well managed wilderness areas to explore.
    My French is really rusty, from school, but I enjoyed listening to you and interpreting the comments.
    What was that knife you were using? It's a beaut.

      Thanks Clive ! I really appreciate your comment and the sub. The knife I use and hang around my neck is the Canadian Forest Knife made by hand in BC Canada by James Andal. I really like it. I agree with you about being blessed and lucky to have such nice wilderness to explore. I am hoping to encourage people to appreciate it and see value in protecting it. Thanks again and hope you enjoy my content ! :) Greeting from Canada.

    Very enjoyable video. I noticed that the dadnlaw had the patch on his jacket. Is that a Nomadic Woodsman ball cap? What do you think of your canoe? What model is it and composite? Thanks for taking the time to film and edit.

    • @NomadicWoodsman
      @NomadicWoodsman  6 років тому

      Yes he has a patch on the shoulder of his jacket :), Yes i jsut got some caps made actually, I have sold some to some relatives and friends etc. I have a flexfit model with no mesh and a mesh model like the one I use in this video. I might make some T-shirts eventually too ! My canoe is a 16 footer, Model : prospector, make : Nova Craft Canoe. It is a vinyl model, I really like the shape and how it handles but somedays I wish i had paid the extra 1k $ for a more lightweight option, the one made in ''tuffstuff'' is lighter but like double the price. Maybe when I upgrade someday !! Thanks so much for watching man my pleasure to make the videos. I was wondering when you would comment ! Have a good fall, we just got first snow here actually in Hinton, Ab, today.

      I'm aching for a super light canoe. I want a Swift packboat but I have to go to Ontario to get it. They won't ship. Yours is sold through MEC so I could get it in Quebec. I like the Trapper model. Is is light and the canoes I have are heavier every year. It's a busy time of year for me. I'm banding ducks, getting traplines ready, tending my dogs and hunting. So it took a while to comment! I figure that when someone takes the time, trouble, and effort to share their knowledge and entertain me, the least I can do is thank them!
