I dont get why you say ots worth rerollong for 6. Obviously. You lose your money when you leave so if you cant buy always reroll... No matter how much it costs...
thanks so much for the guide. I tried and failed so much with Engineer, but with the extra money this was the first engineering build that I could beat d5 with
Thanks for all the guides! Between yours and the one on Steam, you've guided my way. This Danger 5 run has been frustrating to say the least. Elites have been my doom.
Thanks! Glad they're helping :D Yeah - elites are brutal for the characters that lose damage. You can try building extra defensive stats and just trying to live through them, or of course rolling for a horde as your first boss is always an option
seems like a lot of waves you end up not rerolling down to 0 currency, but I'm guessing that's how it should be played though ideally right? edit: nm you mention this at 15:10
This was one of the best runs Ive had in danger 5. harvesting snowballed so big. one screwdriver, 3 wrenches, and 1 nuke launcher for fun. piercing and bouncing was too much fun. went endless and made it wave 43. The screen was just a continuous explosion flash. Combined with all the elites and their attacks was too much for my nintendo switch to handle. even crashed right before the summary screen. one of those special runs where everything just came together
Piggy bank isn't technically useless on this character. It takes the value of your materials before leaving the shop and gives you that value after your materials are reduced to 0. Still not worth to take in most cases and especially not worth buying.
Couple video ideas: Character tier-list for D5. I know we have a couple already but with Brotato, opinions seem to vary! A ranking of your favorite 10 modded characters, items or mods in general. I really enjoy the Extatonion mod and the Agent and Summoner are two of my favorites. Also the Bee Keeper but the Hives are quite laggy. I really like the Ethereal Mage weapon from Extatonion
Great ideas! Character tier list is on the way for sure, I just need to actually finish beating the game with everything to do it justice (only a few left). I haven't messed around with mods at all, but will start experimenting with them soon probably
Entrepreneur was the first class I beat danger 5 on. It's just so easy to snowball the economy to the point where I have so much defense I am basically immortal. On stage 20 I just sit under the bosses because I had like 40 armor and tanked all of the damage.
I finally beat danger 5 with entrepreneur! On a lark I was like lets try daggers and hope for trophy hunter, well that happened but the truly unlikely thing that happened was daggers slowly turned to lightning shivs and then was presented with an early flamethrower and took it. At first I was like I'll keep for a bit till i can fill out better but then i had a dry spell of weapons and was presented good elemental dmg. I did find the trophy hunter got me 500 materials. But what I think won me the game and it seems to be a running theme of my road to beating danger 5 with all chars is Fairy. I think out of the last 5 wins I had 4 fairies and only one of my losses where I had it.
Nice, congrats! Fairy is definitely one of the best items, I rated it S tier both in my tier list *and* in my item unlock list so always a good one to grab
Thanks so much! At least the good news is with daily videos you don't have to wait long! No real story behind the name sadly, I just thought it was a funny portmanteau
5:05 "with three slots open, I think it's worth rerolling" You forgot who you were playing, literally 100% reroll is correct because those 6 mats are disappearing when the wave starts!
@@Bogrin @pvz_games You got it! I'll add explorer to the list. Endless mode will also come later, but of course by its nature it takes longer to record, so it's harder to fit in to my schedule. I'm waiting to find a good time to do that!
if only mobile version is as easy as this. the latest patch bringing in king and renegade got rid of that @sshole elite gatekeeping wave 11, but I still can't pass the latest mobile version with entrepreneur. It's my last d5, lol. Can't survive the elite at wave 11. Not sure what the odds of rerolling a horde are, but I have probably 50 attempts with still elite.
Yeah, I think the game is definitely harder on mobile thanks to the patch and the control scheme. I believe you should still be able to roll into a horde (or a level 12 elite) which is usually easier
@@Cephalopocalypse I've seen hordes and elites as I completed other tatos. But with entrepreneur, I rerolled dozens of times but got nothing, still the 11 elite. But I finally completed it last night using pruner. That was the answer all along.
Is there a downside (i. e., do the future shops get more expensive) to just rolling till 0 every round? The engineering strat is very nice🔥 My run was completely nuts - I killed both final bosses in half the time (engineering 94, damage 22, two 25% damage increase vs boss bullets and, most importantly, harvesting 1479 thanks to the crown, complete insanity😂)
Yeah, each time you roll in a shop it costs more, so it can be more economical to save. The question is whether the increased cost of rolls outpaces the money you save by locking (and the loss of a free shop slot by locking). It's pretty complicated math actually but I have found a good rule of thumb is if I don't have anything locked, I should roll at least twice
@@Cephalopocalypse Interesting as well, thank you! I actually came up with a similar rule of thumb (I settled on 3 but perhaps I'm rolling too much then) but I always thought the shop cost was determined by the round and not by the amount of roles you've had so far so that's good to know
Coupons are very good! It stacks additively with the existing discount, so it's a higher % decrease in price, but the same total material discount other characters would get. That's still better though since you'll be buying more items so can save that money more frequently! It also has fun interactions with recycling machine - with 3 coupons you have a 40% reduction and actually make money by buying and recycling weapons for 65%.
I've heard that this is a real problem for mobile users, so I hope they fix it soon. You can try timing your movements to be moving opposite the direction of the swing, but that seems very hard to me. I haven't played on mobile myself, so unfortunately I don't have great advice :(
@@Cephalopocalypse Its actually interesting that you mention how useful wrench's knockback can be in this guide, and yet buying all those wheatstones actually reduce the knockback and can be a trap for this build. no?
Hmmm, 5 runs at most before i got my D5 clear with this character. The Farmer is up next ! :) 05/12/2024 EDIT: I knew it!!!! My game shows ive NOT cleared a D5 with this toon yet..........plus its looking like there's a LOT more in the same state....all this has occurred since installing the DLC but previously i just suspected. Sigh, i'd never have realised w/o seeing my comment here :/

Yes true I think he forgot about that in that moment. Always roll if you can't buy with this character.

I think this is the strongest build I’ve ever made. Thank you so much
Level 32 at start of wave 21

Yeah for sure! I blame recording while tired. As you say I do catch myself eventually, but I definitely missed out on some value.
Been watching a lot of your videos lately, great guides! I entered shop 19 with 1450 material, my harvesting was 784 l!!!
I entered it with 1.6k with 389 harvest😭

Oh weird, that's a bizarre order for it to work in. Good to know! And yeah as you say still not worth taking obviously, but good to know the mechanic
Yeah, I noticed this on this exact character. It's more useful than it seems, I think.
Ur my go to potato man when I start an unfamiliar quest u make it very simple so
