Who is also confused by the different designations?😁
Is there any difference between business information and business analytics
whats better, in your opinion?
How are these degrees recognized in jobs and does this mean that the pay check also would be the same for BIS just as MIS..Thank you
BIS & MIS is the same degree, but different universities in different states or countries call them differently. I don't know why they do that either, but it mainly depends on the scientific interpretation of what Business Information Systems actually is (and sometimes universities want to make their courses sound better 😁)So the pay is the same either way!
Especially big companies recognize these degrees positively as they already understand the value you can bring to them and also to specialized IT startups. I currently work for a startup in finance and use the knowledge I already gained at university in my day-to-day business.
If you are really interested in business and technology, you should not hesitate to take your chance. At least from my personal experience.
What about information systems management degree , is it also the same degree as computer information systems? Thank you !
Yes, there is a difference.
CIS students focus on how to develop Information systems (classical Computer Science) and MIS Students focus on how to integrate those Information Systems into certain process and business models.
So, if you want the classical programming, go into CIS.
@@itbrezel so what about a degree on business computer information systems?
