First of all, I won’t recommend stopping all medications without gastroenterologist advice / follow up. If you stop medication early, it can result in bad flare up resulting in various complications. If the given medication was not suitable for you , your specialist can change the medication. IBD can cause malabsorption, so weight gain will be an issue if not controlled well. Please consider seeing your gastroenterologist again.

First of all, I won’t recommend stopping all medications without gastroenterologist advice / follow up. If you stop medication early, it can result in bad flare up resulting in various complications. If the given medication was not suitable for you , your specialist can change the medication. IBD can cause malabsorption, so weight gain will be an issue if not controlled well. Please consider seeing your gastroenterologist again.
