      It's almost like they intentionally broke her spirit so she would make way for their poster child..... Dispite her being far better than Biles.....

    • @carlosvalentin9670
      @carlosvalentin9670 3 роки тому +10

      @@punk303 They treated Biles the same way. The head coach always yelled at her for being happy at the training camps and told her to take gymnastics more serious instead of goofing around. Biles just did not care and kept on acting the same way she did, which keep the pasion for gymnastics, unlike Katelyn who agree with anything her coach said, even to compete with injuries and end up hating elite gymnastics.
      Katelyn was always the favorite over Biles, her coach was literally the dad of Nastia Liukin. She just burned out too quickly due to the high difficulty she was not ready yet. Biles really live rent free in your obsessive minds.

    You can see the difference in her face then, when it was "work" for her. Now that she decided to "have fun", enjoy it, and let the scores be what they will be, she seems much happier, and in a better place mentally.
    Good for her.

      You can't really smile if you're doing these elite-level elements 😌 College level gym has pretty basic lements and focuses on dance/ entertainment.

      I don't think she ever considered it work she left because of the cruelty directed toward her at her weight. She was tiny but once she went through puberty her legs were much bigger than in this video. I thought she still looked great and was the best at her craft but because of the constant remarks she left. Simone Biles was lucky Ohashi left.

      @xgartziajou6164 5 років тому +139

      @@olgamazlova5223 aaand again, someone body shaming women for their bodies! Ignorance words seem to be really loud in your comment. 1. Hormonal unbalance is nothing to be shamed of. Furthermore, it is a very ridiculous insult. 2. Having broader shoulders than hips is by far not a problem, not to say that of course it is not a hormonal problem or anything else. There is one thing called muscle. I bet you know what it is.
      PS: There is not just one feminine body type. (Seems ridiculous to have to still say this in 2019...)

    I love Katelyn's musicality, specifically at 0:25 and 0:33. It seems like more and more gymnasts have recently just filled music with moves rather than trying to match it to any beat or tempo change. It's a lot more enjoyable to watch someone dance in a floor routine.

    It's an FIG world cup event like Stuggart and Glasgow. So it's on the FIG website. In a nutshell they go down the list of AA from worlds or Olympics and invite and if a decline they go furthur down. Country can sub in different person if nessessary. Russia, Romania, and China all declined. It's early, some of lack of prep, or different events etc... So there is a system.

      MaKayla Clark-Sol idk, I don't think you can really blame USAG for kids just burning out. Katelyn I think was just tired of elite and didn't have the passion to do the sport at this level, especially once she got hurt after this comp. With Becca, she was just fragile. I don't think she ever went to a competition without a minor injury, and she never should've been doing a DTY because she couldn't do the vault safely. But those decisions come down to the coach and the athlete, not the country's federation. Look at Simone. She turned senior in 2013 and she's yet to have a major injury and just keeps upgrading. Every time she competes her routines are more difficult. It's not that Katelyn was "used up" as a junior. Katelyn was just burnt out, injury prone and not built to do some of the skills she had on bars, so when she got her should injuries, she took the opportunity to retire from elite, and there's no shame in that. She seems 100% happier now that she's physically healthy and training level 10.

      Blame her coach, he did not paced her well!! She did hard skills even when it is not needed as a junior. Oh Katelyn and Bross had the same coach so you know who should be blame. Just look at Simone and how well they paced her.

      valeri just got really unlucky with the age of all three of his pupils. rebecca, nastia and katelyn were all one year too young for their initial olympics cycle, i believe.

    Is kind of sad not to see her on the Olympics now that she is happy and herself is great 😊 but she is an amazing athlete

    That's your opinion and I respectfully disagree. Katelyn is much more artistic than Zmeskal or Johnson ever were. She's also still maturing, just out of juniors, and by the Olympic season, if she hopefully makes it that far, she'll improve on that aspect even more. She is already very artistic on beam.

    There are a lot of parts in this exercise where it's very obvious that Katelyn has high musicality. The way she moves so well timed to the music is natural. A lot of gymnasts, including Simone Biles, have amazing floor routines in the technical side, but the dances are kindof stiff or just doesn't look natural.

    I dislike it when a person believes more in negative comments and forgot their own worth.
    Easily said and done but you've got to try harder.

    I am at a loss to understand why she would ever have been deemed overweight, it so obvious she wasnt, all I see is a very talented gymnast, her bean routine was exceptional, i definitely one of the best I've seen .

    i don't know....could it be she is concerned about the actual skills....not something as mundane as a hairstyle......people always find a ridiculous reason to complain....if all u can talk about is her hair, she must be AWESOME....& by the way...it's Marta NOT Martha...

    The all around final this year is going to be awfully crowded: you've got Katelyn, Aliya, Larisa, Anastasia, Simone, etc. It's going to be a serious battle.

    Комментатор - просто ужас. Кейтелин сдерживает боль, а от нее требуют улыбаться.
