Hank looking good. Something to consider, although the skid steer is heavier, due to it being tracked, the ground force will be less than the TYM. It's all about KG/cm2 (Lbs/Inch2) of ground contact. I'd use the tractor for compacting.
hi Hank good job on putting pipes in mate that skid steer was a good investment sow much you can do with it i enjoy your home videos working at the farm thanks mate
Great video, Hank. Thanks for sharing. On that last pipe you put in you might want to dig your ditch on out a little further. If you get a hard rain if the water can’t go on out it will gather up and cover your road. Just a thought.
I think on the right side of the culvert under the road, you need to dig out more dirt off to the side. With the culvert lower than that sand, it will wash into the culvert and fill it up. Maybe dig it out and line the hole with rock. Good video though.
The place is coming along nicely, what are you clearing the land, for more gaden area? I would have used concrete piping, all the best to yous and your loved ones
That was a great guitar riff , reminds me fifty odd years ago , laying on an empty hay wagon with my headphones and Walkman . Thanks for bringing back those fond memories of our youth .🍻
Those things are fun drive Hank I drove a case 460 once for 6 month temp job it was neat and cool fun experience all around the case 460 was just an orange bobcat type of equipment ha ha
HAY HANK, NICE JOB. WHICH BACKHOE IS BETTER??? THE FIRST OR 2'ND??? IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE GETTIN' YOUR MOVEMENTS DOWN PRETTY GOOD. I'VE BEEN PRACTISIN' ALSO. AND IT IS A CHALLENGE AT FIRST, BUT AS YOU GO IT GET'S BETTER. SOON ENOUGH I CAN GET A TRACK OR SKID STEER CAUSE THAT'S WHAT I WANTED ORIGINALLY. KEEP PUSHIN' ON HANK... PEACE...
I'm sure you'll find the right tool. I had 2 surgeries and I'm quite behind, just wanted you to get the wisecrack of the day. Wisecrack alert: Life's not a fairytale. If you lose a shoe at midnight; you're drunk. Doing my best to bring a smile into every life that I can. LoL. As always, all the best to everyone. Chef Scott 👨🍳
Bit of farm worm makes good videos bro. With that last pipe is there somewhere for the water to go other than sit in the pipe and slowly soak away. Safe travels
PROBLEMS!?? From the looks of the terrain and soil, (flat and sandy,) that culvert will fill with debris and become clogged. You need a "sock" over both ends to maintain an open vessel and thus maintain flow. The flatter the more you need to protect the culvert.
I am no expert at all but I think you need more space on both sides for the water. If it cannot flush away it rises and the culvert does nothing any more then. But I don’t know how hard the rainshowers are in your area and if you have longer wet periods. In fall we can have longer periods of rain and then the ground saturates, the water takes a lot longer to get sunk in the ground. More room on the in- and outlet gives the water moren time to drop. But for all sakes it already works just fine. I guess you know after a rainshower.
Depending on how much water you get down through? You may want to pour some concrete on the inlet so you don't have any water washing out under your pipe and lifting it.
If it were me , I would have used an actual steel culvert. Reason being , if that small drain pipe clogs you're gonna have a nightmare on your hands . Good luck !
I would rip rap the both of them, cause me may get some pesky WX coming in here in a week or two. Might add some more dirt to the one on the main road and pack it some more.
Hank. Please, for pity’s sake, buy a trailer for the back of your tractor!!!! It’ll be worth it if your going to be transporting soil and bits and pieces around the homestead.
Though I do like a good start up video, I like a mixture also. Can't eat banana cream pie ALL the time ... a good Rib-Eye now and again is better, I think.

Good stuff Hank would like to see an update in the future
When we put in a culvert you tamp the dirt around it as you fill it in then you usually don't have to worry about them washing out or settling
Thanks for the video. Was interesting. Hard work. Not as easy as it looks. Thanks Hank.
The Iowa farm boy.

😁👍
Sounds like the Alleman Brothers Band!
Our friend - looks like you need a trailer for the skid that is a bucket that holds 3 or 4 scoops. Handy for this.
Hank you looked like your on OJT we have seen you dig with the 310 John Deere but we had fun watching you thanks for a great video
I had heard about that song. 😄 lol. Looks good Hank, nice job!!

It’s nice when you catch a break and a project you’re dreading goes as well as can be expected.
true. thank you for watching
I'm thinking of some riff/raff to prevent dirt from clogging after time.
Those things are fun drive Hank I drove a case 460 once for 6 month temp job it was neat and cool fun experience all around the case 460 was just an orange bobcat type of equipment ha ha

Hank I love all your specially with you and willy that was a bar song choice lol
Hey Hank. You are Getting Better with That Bobcat. What is The HP of the Skid Steer You Have?
It’s 81hp. It’s been a good machine so far👍
@@Hfoutdoorsyt Thanks 👍
You are getting better using the backhoe if you dig some channels from the swampy ground you will help it dry out
Bit of farm worm makes good videos bro. With that last pipe is there somewhere for the water to go other than sit in the pipe and slowly soak away. Safe travels
Hi hank from west Alabama love y’all

1:47 Are you making the Hamiltonville Farm 18 hole golf course and Country Club.
Chris from Letsdig18 will be proud of you.
LOL. He's the best!
First ti.e I thought you did a good job buddy appreciate the channel buddy 👍
When did you get a skid steer Hank?
You definitely need to get that transmission looked at.
❤️❤️❤️ Hamilton Farms
👍
Add some big rocks or stone on the first culvert...

Those ditches Hurricane proof ?
You need to rescue one of the dump trucks you and Whiley get running!
Where is wallie he can help 😁😁😁😁😁
If it were me , I would have used an actual steel culvert. Reason being , if that small drain pipe clogs you're gonna have a nightmare on your hands . Good luck !
1/2mi 🥺😱 I'd die dead ...☠
maybe next year 🤕
thanks fer da video voodoo that you doo so well 😃
Just wait till it falls a log lifter and then you'll know what to do or not to do. BLESSINGS!
true
If you leave it up a bit then use the skid steer to pack it down then you shouldn't have much to worry about
why not just drive back and put the bucket on the tractor? then if needed you could go back and get the skid steer?
How bout'cha
@Post10 should be able to help.
Top er off with some bigger limestone it ain't going nowhere .
I would rip rap the both of them, cause me may get some pesky WX coming in here in a week or two. Might add some more dirt to the one on the main road and pack it some more.
Yeah true.
Compact it with the skid steer so it don't wash out
lunch you invite willy over for lunch too ?
Man your really halln A$$ on that skid steer! When did Ya'll install the turbo and NOS?
Hank. Please, for pity’s sake, buy a trailer for the back of your tractor!!!! It’ll be worth it if your going to be transporting soil and bits and pieces around the homestead.
Please go back to will it start videos. These videos are ok. Will it start videos are the best.

Though I do like a good start up video, I like a mixture also. Can't eat banana cream pie ALL the time ... a good Rib-Eye now and again is better, I think.
Just life on Hamilton Farm
Glöm inte fall åt rätt håll.
Hank your hydros sound terrible brother... I fear a rebuild/replacement video I'd coming
It’s just the sound amplified by the mics. I took it to bobcat and they didn’t find anything wrong. 👍
@@Hfoutdoorsyt that makes sense great news!
Oops commented to soon
You know a dump truck would have really helped you with moving all that dirt....hint hint lol
For Sure!👍
Wouldn't a dumk truck have been nice?
Yes sir 👍
You might have enough hauling to do around your place to justify buying a small dump truck.
Is your skidsteer supposed to whine like that? No wonder your wearing ear defenders with that noise going on every time you use it.
