One of the greatest songs of all time. Heard a cover of this, immediately stopped video and listened to the actual song. Oh my god. A truly beautiful and powerful song. I’d only listened to Don’t You Forget Me, but from this was introduced to one of my now absolute favourite songs of all time and the songs that followed on the album. I’m glad I encountered this as I don’t know when I might have in my life 😂. Though I vaguely knew the album, I’d never bothered to listen to it. WHAT WAS I THINKING!? Also, Jim Kerr has to be one of the greatest singers of all time. He’s the one who gives the song its power with his voice.

You're going to achieve whatever you want to. You're bulletproof, nothing can harm you. Life takes over & somewhere along the line certain dreams die until you find contentment...hopefully. Music creates emotions & memories in us like nothing else. Certain songs, immediately on hearing, transport you to a previous time in your life & it's like you're reliving it just for a few seconds. This song is absolutely one of them for me & it'll give me goosebumps every time should I live into my 80s. What a belter it is.

From 1980 -82, they couldn't put a foot wrong. Saw them supporting the brilliant Magazine in Drury Lane 1979! For a while, the Minds were unbeatable. Then they went to America..... Remember them this way.
