      Herzlich willkommen auf meinem kanal.
      I'm surprised as well. A lot of people like German music especially me who now started back on studying the language.
      A lot of people I guess liked it but couldn't understand so I thought about just making it to make it easy.
      A lot of people love the German language especially me. I'm hoping for one day to be good in it so Germans can understand me or close to a Native as much as possible.

  • @RavensRift

    To me, the song in generally speaking is about personal responsibility, taking upon past events as an example. The chorus "First comes pride, then comes your country" plays off the preditorary nature of fascism that led to the nazi movement. Your pride and ability to do what's right should transcend any amount of patriotism you have for your country. "Stones are Stones" makes me think of casting stones at people, no matter what the reason is, it shouldn't be cast. No one deserves to be demonized. All are against separation and segregation i.e. "the wall"

    • @RavensRift
      @RavensRift 4 роки тому +13

      @Mighty Fist Of Zeon! It's good that you have such a strong sense of patriotism. I personally disagree and find it to be the cause of many atrocities in the world. The Nazi party was built and thrived on that sort of ideology, and well... they definitely didn't go down in history for being the good guys.

    • @RavensRift
      @RavensRift 4 роки тому +6

      @STORM LORD Yes, but when that's comes before doing good for your fellow man, then we have a problem. I just find patriotism to be a someone I can do without. Others need a cause to fight for and a flag to fly. I find it unnecessary for me. I fight for what does the most good to everyone, and that's that. Perhaps it's different because my blood is mixed with several different things, but I find it to do more harm than good in most cases

    • @jsshadow-lurker5152

      It was originally meant to encourage Germans to be proud that they are Germans, not superior. The evil ones keep on portraying it as Nazi/fascist propaganda.

    • @ZenoDovahkiin
      @ZenoDovahkiin 4 роки тому +11

      Last line is wrong.
      It's "an die Wand", not "gegen die Wand", so it doesn't mean opposing the wall, it's clearly about being lined up against the wall and shot.

    • @ZenoDovahkiin
      @ZenoDovahkiin 4 роки тому +4

      Azoic Rift The nation and its values are the framework that enable us to live together. Freedom is always one generation away from extinction, you need to support your nation to protect your fellow man in the first place.
      You've likely been conditioned to dislike nationalism because "muh nazis", when the true problem with nazis was actually ETHNOnationalism and socialism.
      A patriot defends his nation from corruption but also wants his nation to do good by its people. Loyalty doesn't mean you blindly follow. But you can't make your nation do better if you allow it to be destroyed because you were afraid of pride.

    I'm just going to interpret this song as it's not shameful to be a German despite the semi-recent terrible tragedies. I don't personally believe in the pride of an origin location of birth but I do believe being born somewhere doesn't automatically classify you as someone who identifies with the worst aspects of the history of the location i.e. atrocities committed by people who you'd never identify with. The guilt by association is bullshit. Half of my family with German origins got called Nazis growing up when they had nothing to do with any of that and were living in America.

      Hardly. The song seems to be about the back-and-forth nature of politics (particularly German politics throughout the 20th century), of which the "reds" are sometimes the perpetrators of, sometimes the victims of, and sometimes the victors of (red money, red blood, red power, and red pain).
      The refrain explicitly states that "First comes pride, then comes your land", meaning that personal pride (principles and dignity) comes before the "love" (or blind faith/fanaticism) in one's country, while the final refrain asserts that Germans should still be proud of who they are, regardless of politics or history - not for the sake of country, but for the sake of personal integrity.
