Voddie is the antidote to the experience-oriented "Jesus Movement" that wound up rotting out the Christian foundations of America and showed itself to be a complete 'Trojan horse' of Satan to substitute feelings for facts, and experience for truth, and left America in a state of moral and theological disrepair on a level never before experienced.
I've been saying this for a while now. NOBODY questions the countless historical facts they believe outside of religion. The ending brought me to tears.
Not to mention the Biblical facts are some of the strongest. I always remind people the Hittites were thought to be a Biblical fairytale... right up until they discovered the remnants of their civilization in the 1900's. Turns out the Bible was an account from people who were there and knew the Hittites, not a false record.
To the one who made the comment, be very careful in making libelous statements (speaking as an attorney). In general, always be careful, but particularly against a man of God who has given his life in the service of Christ. Dr. Baucham is a man above reproach and the husband of one wife (Titus 1:6). As someone who has known him for over 25 years and attended his church in Spring, Texas I can say this without hesitation and with great earnest. He has been married the entire time I’ve known him (when we were both young college men) to an absolutely lovely, Godly woman. Yes, most of their children are adopted and for Biblical, Christ honoring reasons and purposes (may they all carry on and bless the Kingdom of Christ!). As far as what he is wearing, yes he’s in Africa now (listen to his reasons for going if you can-beautiful) and I am sure he has various reasons for wearing the clothing (someday I hope to take my sons to Scotland and we are going to wear Kilts) and look at it, seriously, it has to be ridiculously comfortable!
I just started listening to Voodie yesterday. He came up with other pastors associated with Ligonier Ministries. He’s wonderful and I’m very blessed to have found his sermons. Thank you Pastor Voodie. 🙏
All your teaching videos are so beneficial in affirming our beliefs and strengthening our foundation in Christ. So grateful for your gift of teaching. Thank you for your service to our Lord Pastor Voddie and may you be blessed 100-fold in return.
A friend of mine introduced Dr.Voddie to me, from then i read the bible with his teachings. It changes my Christianity view. Thanks God for giving you this knowledge to enlighten us in His word. Thank you, and God bless you and your family. 🥰
That’s the first sermon I ever heard from Voddie I was so sad over my sin and when a friend asked me how I was feeling I said broken. As I was searching UA-cam a video suggestion showed a video with the title brokenness and I clicked it. Till this day it’s my favorite Voddie Sermon.
At JET. I accidentally found him. I'M 75yrs old. Been in and out of Christian churches some 40 yrs. When I hit on this sermon my mouth flew open, been looking for a church Who Preaches the Bible as Dr. Voodie Preaches From the Bible, and Explains it. Been here every day approximately three months.
Very inspirational sermon Dr. Baucham. It will surely, for the most part be borrowed from you by me the next time a lost soul starts expounding to me that God's Holy Word has been translated so many times that it cannot be taken seriously. Countless times I've heard those very words and I stumbled in my retort. I praise God for you, brother. Much love and peace to you.
For me it was the Holy Spirit, that came to reside within me and 2 Peter 1:21 "For prophesy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." Gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord. It was faith in the bible (the word of God); when I accepted Christ as my savior I felt a change and I embraced that experience, I read and search out all I could find learn more about my faith (I was hungry for God). The Holy Spirit's wisdom is perfect and you cannot live a Holy Life without it and with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we become a new creation in Christ with a renewed mind (Ephesians 4:23). I don't know if I looked at the exact understanding that Dr Voddie shared and I make no judgement either side and can only share that I got here. Amen, thank you Dr Voddie for sharing your bible knowledge and faith as I believe that the Holy Spirit tells me, you are truly my brother in Christ. Amen [Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so]
It has been said that "a man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument." True, but only for those with small minds closed to reason. Because your "experience" may very well be WRONG. As usual, Voddie nails it.
Just so I can reference this easily in the future... The bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses that report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies that claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
I believe crucifixion originated with the Assyrians and Babylonians, it was used systematically by the Persians in the 6th century BC. Alexander the Great brought it from there to the eastern Mediterranean countries in the 4th century BC, and the Phoenicians introduced it to Rome in the 3rd century BC.
Hi. I understand the point made with the rebuttals but I think I'm going to stick with the "experience" because unless the person is some kind of historian or a highly intellectual person who will go and research all my claims about the Bible being a collection of books written by eyewitnesses and so forth...then I don't see how that response is any better than the one of my experience. They still have to believe that ALL those people existed. They still don't have any proof of what I'm saying and the average person isn't going to go look it up to find any. And even if I tell them this answer and they accept it, most likely it's not because they believe it but that they don't have enough knowledge to try and dispute it. Which doesn't really do any good. But they do have proof in my life which they can see which I think is good enough for the average person. Ultimately, is it up to us---how well crafted and historical our response is? Or is it up to God to illuminate the word in their minds and their hearts and to bring them to the knowledge of the truth? Is it not God who draws and opens our understanding? Therefore, if I share my experience coupled with the Gospel and they do not believe, that's my cue to push on and pray that God will deal with their hearts. I don't think one can fully believe the Bible without first believing in and giving their lives to Christ. In both circumstances I'm commanded to preach the Gospel. Not to try and make people believe IT nor the Bible. Or is this thinking incorrect?
I do see what you are saying, but Your “experience” needs to be believed as well. You are telling a story and they believe or not. It is relatively easy to prove that the historical figures in the Bible existed because the Jews especially were excellent historians. If someone’s too lazy to investigate real truth, are they really going to believe you? It is God Who prepares hearts. Most just mockers who want to argue and regurgitate sound bites they have heard because they like making sport of making Christians squirm. Unfortunately, most can’t give a reason for the hope they have. Everyone is running around with an experience these days. New age is at an all time high-the new Gnosticism. Plenty of experiences to talk about. Also, the occult is enjoying tons of attention these days-all experiences. The Word is living and active. The power to save is and has always been the Gospel, the power of God into salvation. Foolishness to those who are perishing, but life to those who will believe. Have a blessed week.
@@christincommon5496 But if someone sees I used to live one way but now I live another, thats all they need to believe my experience. But as you said It is God who does the opening of the eyes and who draws and yes it is the Gospel that saves. Not an experience nor a study of history or evidence of historical figures. All of that is just supporting information. But in my experience and my own experience, when people are saved its not the result of a history lesson. Its God opening understanding to heed the word of the Lord. But I dont think it has anything to do with being lazy. Most peope just don't care that much. Especially if their souls haven't even been regenerated and if they haven't yet been saved. They don't even read the Bible what makes you think they will read a history book about it? That's how most of us are. That's the world we live in. He who wins souls is wise and by the Spirit of God can discern a specific person's needs that they are witnessing to. Yes many people have experiences but I cant ever imagine a time where I would share my testimony or "experience" with someone without also sharing the Gospel. Thats what separates a Christians experience from all the other junk.. Furthermore I can discern mockery in which case I'll keep my pearls to myself. We are told to preach the Gospel. Not come up with convincing arguments to make people believe it. That's God's job. Even Paul's arguments pointed people back to the Scriptures. To the Gospel. The reason for the hope that is in me is what Jesus did in my life and what He did on the cross which means my hope is in the Gospel. The good news. The Resurrection. The reason for the hope in me is not evidence of eye witnesses.. of course it may be different for others. But Yes the Gospel is what matters. Have a blessed week as well.
@@TMcConnaughhayhi. Im sorry but I'm done with this conversation. And anyway I believe Ive said all I needed to say. And I refuse to get into all those nooks and crannies. And what ifs...thats a waste of time. Bottom line...its not about you either. Let the Holy Spirit lead. Nevertheless Do what you feel. I never told anyone to think how I think but I specifically said what it is that IM going to do. Which is exactly what I'm going to do. And If you don't believe God's power is good enough in His Gospel and in His transformation power and if you feel He needs help from our human wisdom then that's you. But I'm going to trust in the power of God. Take care and I hope you have a blessed and wonderful week. Bye bye 👋
@@mirandalashay5611 Well OK, you are done! I got about half way through your comment and decided it's not worth my time either, so go get some milk and cookies and your baba and relax.
I love Voddie, he speaks truth, he is not infallible however, and here he is big time wrong, when he says God does not speak audibly to people. If he speaks to a person it is for them not everyone, so thee is no reason to write down as scripture what he said. Sorry bro,you are off here.
While I respect certain things that you speak on, Mr. Baucham I have to disagree on what you said beginning at about 50:15 into this video on until about 52 minutes into it. Because as I listened, I was reminded of a few encounters in the Bible where Yahweh spoke to people, they spoke back and they didn’t die or faint or anything, if I’m not mistaken. For one, prophets in the Bible. Then, there was Moses. Outside of the burning bush where Yahweh told Moses to remove his shoes because he was standing on holy ground, Moses was never told to ‘fear not’ and he never fainted, if I’m not mistaken. In fact, when Yahweh told Moses to go to Pharoah, Moses refused to go because he was insecure. And Yahweh (although He got angry at Moses) told him to go with his brother Aaron. Additionally, Moses had several back and forth conversations with Yahweh during the entire event of freeing the Israelites from Egypt. Never did Moses faint or die nor was he ever told to ‘fear not’. Secondly, there’s Abraham whom Yahweh counted as His friend. In particular, I’m remembering the event where Yahweh told Abraham that He was about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham asked Yahweh twice (maybe thrice) if He would still destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, if there was a worthy person in that city. Yahweh never got angry with Abraham for asking those questions. And He answered Abraham as a friend. And then, there’s Jesus. When Jesus appeared to His disciples after He had risen. One wasn’t there and when they told him about Jesus, he didn’t believe it (doubting Thomas). Jesus came to the unbeliever later and told him to touch the wounds in His hand. And the unbeliever did so. I don’t remember Jesus telling the man to ‘fear not’. Nor do I remember the man dying, fainting, etc. (John 20:24-29) Also, there’s Job. Among the few in the Bible that are known to have (GREAT) favor with Yahweh, there’s Job. When Job was being used by Yahweh in his suffering to prove satan wrong, Job’s friends came to him and was telling him the wrong things. After Yahweh had heard enough, He was angry with Job friends and He told them to go to Job that they may be forgiven. Yahweh also told them what offering to bring along with them. And Yahweh corrected Job. At no point, from my recollection, did Yahweh tell either of them to fear not nor did anyone die or faint. Yahweh starts speaking at Job chapter 38 and He tells Job’s friends that He’s angry with them at Job 42:7-8. Going back to the very first man on earth, Adam. He had a back and forth conversation with Yahweh in the garden of Eden. He neither fainted, died nor was he told to fear not. (Genesis 3:9-12) What about Gideon? Didn’t Yahweh speak to him and he spoke back to Yahweh concerning the number of men that drank from the waters and who would go into battle and who wouldn’t? (Judges chapters 6 and 7) What about Joshua in Joshua chapter 6:1-5? What about Elijah who was running for his life after (I believe it was) queen jezebeel threatened his life? Yahweh approached him, asked him a question, he answered and Yahweh reminded him that he wasn’t the only prophet left. That prophet didn’t die or faint. Nor was he told to ‘fear not’. (1 Kings 19:1-18) Then, there’s the time the angel of the Lord woke Peter up, when he was in jail. The angel freed Peter. I don’t remember the angel telling Peter to ‘fear not’ or anything like that before they left. I’m sure there are many more incidents in the Bible where Yahweh or His angels spoke to people and the people spoke back (having a conversation) and those people didn’t die or faint. And neither were they told to ‘fear not’ beforehand. What about when Mary went to Jesus’ tomb, after He had risen? Not only did she speak to Jesus Himself but she also spoke to two angels who were there. She didn’t realize that she was speaking to angels. And she didn’t recognize Jesus. Neither Jesus nor the angels told her to ‘fear not’ and she didn’t die or faint. And what about Sarai? She lied to Yahweh’s face. They had a conversation. She said she didn’t laugh and the Lord told her that she did. There’s so much. And seems as though that there are more incidents in the Bible where people, in fact, did speak to Yahweh and Yahweh spoke to them. The same with Jesus and angels. And no one died or fainted. Nor were they told to ‘fear not’. They just had a conversation with Yahweh, Jesus or angels of the Lord. Genesis 18 is where Sarai lied and Yahweh told Abraham about Sodom and Gomorrah. All the rest of the events that I mentioned can be easily Googled to find the scriptures, if anyone is interested. But anyone who is familiar enough with the scriptures will automatically remember these encounters without having to Google the scriptures. In any event, look up the scriptures anyways. Thanks Editing again: I’m not pointing out these scriptures to build a case that we don’t need to show respect when speaking with Yahweh. My point is that we can speak to Him and hear from Him without fainting or dying. And that we may not be told to ‘fear not’, when He’s speaking. Maybe it depends on our relationship with Him and whether or not we’re being spoken to by or speaking to Yahweh as the Judge, our Heavenly Father or our friend in a situation. But we should always show respect. I believe it’s just the difference between being in a courtroom or sitting in a park enjoying an ice cream cone.
Listen to Jim Brown Truth and Grace ministries on utube, you will learn Gods Word from Jim, he has dedicated his life to studying Gods Holy Scriptures, the life and times of Yeshua, Jim defines words in the Bible, I’ve learned so much from him, I’ve been in 50 churches in my life and they all seemed to ring the same tune, just reading out of the Bible, I can do that myself, but Jim has brought life to the Word of God, defining words makes such a difference in learning and knowing our Father and Savior.
“ İf jesus is god “ please can you show me one verse in the bible that jesus clearly introduces himself as a god??? I become a Christian when i get this prove!!!!
Saw this just before interning work so I will respond to this, in greater length, later. Yet for now..we live by faith thru God's grace. Do you see the air you breath, your heart beating or wind blowing? No, yet you believe it is there.! Having faith & believing in Christ is what gets you to heaven. Anyone can believe he exsist for satan does that. We must have faith.! Trust God's word.! ❤😊
Much love, Prayer and Hope going out this day in Jesus Name. 1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- (Ephesians 2:1-5, ESV) I was DEAD.. But GOD. Proverbs 3:3-6 KJV Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: [4] So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. [5] Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The "telephone effect" has nothing to do with translation of the Bible from Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. Indeed it comes into play when you KNOW the earliest gospel was written 20 plus years AFTER Jesus went to heaven! Before them it was ORAL TRADITION, HENCE THE TELEPHONE EFFECT.
@@christincommon5496 sadly the Historicity of this take leaves a lot to be desired. I mean, my eye of FAITH still is in focus, but it is good to know HIStory through the eyes of faith.
If you think about the beginning of this video, when he says cause it qorks for me then you havw yo except mormans and anyone else experience, logically this would be correct. Now think what the devil will do when he brings one world religion, we all will have to except everyone else or deni are own experiences. Logically makes since the devil will slip in this way. Also explains why every and i mean every religion down plays or discredits the bible one way or another. Even those who speak tongues and have dreams and talk to angeles. You have to denie these to agree the bible is Gods word.
Love Dr. Voddie teaching. But I disagree with GOD not speaking to us. GOD does reveal personal revelation to HIS children. It's not new revelation as far as being canonize. But it's a rhema word directly for you. The gift of prophecy is a word of knowledge or a word of revelation which is a gift of the SPIRIT.
Tell Paul about his conversion on the road to Damascus where Christ showed him he was chosen. I submit his conversion was progressive where even he was actively killing believers, he received more and more Christ-centered information.
Brother, Jesus Christ does speak to his children the new covenant has to do with a new creation and with him writing his laws in our minds and hearts giving us a new spirit infused life by his own life. For he lives in all believers and has manifeted Himself to us who trust in Him. IF you are not being guided by The Spirit then you are not a child of God. Dont say God doesnt talk to us his children because He does through His Spirit.
Jesus/God's new commandment new covenant is the truth life and only way. With faith in the word warnings of God our Father we can move mountains to block divert Noah's SE to NW tidal Tsunamis to come.
@@fiorini_mochachino There are not 30 transcripts of the Bible in it's original text though. The problem you've encountered is that Muslims worship a false god.
Original text if you can. There are not 27 or 29 versions any more than there are 27 or 29 versions of Christianity based on denomination. There is the original text, and a few variations of translation that are true to the text, same as there are people who believe the Bible as it was or from one of these translations, and there are people who believe something else or something more. Anything past that is sabotage or incompetence and is easily figured out. Short answer would be KJV if you want a very pure translation in a language akin to modern english, or the NIV which is less popular but still true to the original text while being written in modern English. The rest compose about 25% of Bibles in use in the US, and only a very small portion of those left are in any way unrepresentative of the original text in any way that would alter it's divine meaning.
Dang Voddie.. you got a dress on? I cant concentrate. I cant get passed it. I imagine you did in gact just got back from Africa and this was a cultural statement? Idk but love your teachings
The only problems I have with his inability to understand God spoke to someone is that hes 1 limiting God and what God can and will do if He chooses, and 2 just because God spoke to someone doesnt mean hes speaking to everyone. God has spoken to me through dreams but they were for me! No one else. That doesnt mean they have to be added into the bible! He can speak to us individually. So as much as I agree we probably need to not be flippant with the "God told me" way of saying it.......sometimes he DOES tell us!! And sometimes the "God told me" way of saying it is the only way to explain it! Doesnt necessarily mean we sat down and had coffee with him. It's just easier than trying to figure out actual words of the feeling/hearing/ interaction/whatever.......the word is impossible to find. So "God spoke to me" is the easiest way to say it. Just my opinion. I know that I've heard from God!!! But to try to explain that is almost impossible!
andrea josselet God’s Revelation to men was concluded at the end of the Book of the Revelation. Read the curses at the end of Revelation to those claiming further revelation. God does speak to us now, but always in Scripture. However, Satan disguises as an angel of of light. Repent of believing false words and turn to Scripture alone for your teaching, reproof, instruction and training in righteousness.
@@billyeknox1893 so satan led me to the bible then? Cause in my dream I was told to go to a specific bible in my home. I was told to go to a specific devotional section in that bible, which led me to a certain book and chapter of the bible!!! Does satan want us to go to the bible for instruction? If not then it was God and I will continue to believe God over man. Thank u
Did Satan use his knowledge of God’s words with the woman? Did he do so with Jesus? Read all Scripture in the context of the paragraph. Read all paragraphs in the context of the chapter, then its context in the particular Book and that in context of the Testament, and that in context with the Bible. Satan is so devious. I pray you are not deceived, and the Spirit protect you. His word truly is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. I don’t put my trust in man either, but Voddie has been faithful.
@@billyeknox1893 satan manipulated Gods word in those examples. Nothing was told to me other than to go to that bible, to that devotional, which led me to that specific book and chapter. Nothing was distorted, used out of context, or used in a way to argue against the bible........... so I dont see how that cld be from satan. We can agree to disagree. Like I said the words he spoke to me arent for everyone else. No need to add to the end of the bible, it wasnt like jonah "a message for the whole city". This was for me!!! What he shares with me is for me and me alone. If you arent hearing God speak, then i worry you arent surrendering all to be able to hear him! Like I said, I dont mean sit down and have coffee convo. But a still soft voices of direction. I've heard him on several occasions. One led us to the house we live in now, tell me why u think him speaking to me about my house would matter to the rest of the world to be added to the end of the bible? Lol that's absurd!! Do I hear him daily? No! But I've heard him a few times in the last 3 yrs, when he recently saved me. I dont claim that he speaks to everyone, I dont claim he speaks in dialogue format. But he does speak. We have to be open and not limit his ability! Hes God, he can do WHATEVER he wants. And he doesnt need our permission.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit are wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord. Amen [Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so]
Wow!!! This man of God is blessed with the spirit of wisdom and hunger for truth!!! I am blessed 🙏🏿
He is amazing!
It has been said that "a man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument." True, but only for those with small minds closed to reason. Because your "experience" may very well be WRONG. As usual, Voddie nails it.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I'm trying to find all his messages.
This was filmed on my birthday
Best explanation I’ve ever heard.
Jesus Christ saves, FOREVER!
His honestly the best at this point
Just so I can reference this easily in the future... The bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses that report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies that claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.
Thank you- I tried writing it down but didn’t get all of it.
I tried it... it worked for me ✝️
Great!!!!
The Bible is GOD'S inspired WORD. It is about having a personal relationship and knowing what GOD expects from us and how to live our lives for HIM
You have to respect his brain and memory! Whew!

One question I have is was man predestined to sin? Or did he have a choice?
Do you suppose religion can cure my addiction for riding fast motorcycles?
Well, unfortunately, it's NOT ALL ABOUT YOU! What about people who never knew you before??
Bye bye 👋

Voddie is wearing something more "in style" with the culture to which he ministers in Africa, where he founded a university.
Can anyone give me VODDIE BAUCHAM'S email. I want to learn more from him. Bless you all.
Thanks
Editing again: I’m not pointing out these scriptures to build a case that we don’t need to show respect when speaking with Yahweh.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- (Ephesians 2:1-5, ESV)
I was DEAD.. But GOD.
Proverbs 3:3-6 KJV
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: [4] So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
The actual eye witnesses traveled around teaching and demonstrating with signs and wonders. Doesn’t sound like a telephone to me.
@@christincommon5496 sadly the Historicity of this take leaves a lot to be desired. I mean, my eye of FAITH still is in focus, but it is good to know HIStory through the eyes of faith.
Translation through multiple languages can create a telephone effect as well though.
When was \Saul/Paul forgiven? When was his past sins washed away?
I know the point is the message...but what kind of shirt is that????
Brother, Jesus Christ does speak to his children the new covenant has to do with a new creation and with him writing his laws in our minds and hearts giving us a new spirit infused life by his own life. For he lives in all believers and has manifeted Himself to us who trust in Him. IF you are not being guided by The Spirit then you are not a child of God. Dont say God doesnt talk to us his children because He does through His Spirit.

Which Bible? 27 or 29 different versions
Not “Versions” but “Translations.” Big difference.
Listen to the teaching.
There are more than 30 versions of the Quran. They are NOT translations, they are all in Arabic.
Voddie thank you so much for your preaching over the years. But pink is not your color

I can't get passed the loud outfit. Goodness!! Turn dwn
