Just found out my baby has no heartbeat today and I’m being schedule to have this done. My baby was very wanted. I’m beyond broken 💔. Thank you for the informative video.
Having undergone the same situation as you and losing my baby at 8 weeks I know this is very painful both physically and mentally. But lets try again. May god bless us with a child.
How are you? Just found out yesterday during my 2nd trimester check up of our baby not having a heartbeat. Need to call them today to schedule this....
I know I'm reading this months later. After you had to go through that horrific heartbreaking. Trauma but that doesn't mean that prayers aren't being said for you and your family and praying that God takes wonderful care of you.
Hi to everyone in the comments. I'm a diagnostic sonographer who often performs pelvic and obstetric scans. Just wanted to say I've seen what emotions women go through when they are told they have had a miscarriage or their pregnancy is non-viable. Just remember it's not your fault, and I think you are all amazing. It's a heart-breaking experience to go through and it never gets any easier delivering bad news to these patients. I hope anyone going through this comes out on the other side okay and are able to try again. Much love.
Just had this procedure done and I am no doubt all for it. It's been such an easy recovery and I feel much better knowing risk of infection is way down. Anyone that has a miscarriage I highly recommend having this procedure done. Not to mention it's better for your over all health and for future babies! Take care of yourselves ladies...
@@maggiemhando412 I just had mine yesterday. For me, it was not painful. I was out to sleep for mine, woke up with slight cramps. Nothing bad, went home with 800mg of ibuprofen. Slept pretty much the whole day, I'm not in any pain. I'm just tired and my mental health is hurt. But I am so grateful for my d&c. Didn't have one my first time and it was horrid.
I was supposed to go in for one today.... but my baby passed through last night after about an hour of agony and trauma. I ended up in the hospital to make sure everything had passed through a couple hours later after I finally kinda snapped out of the shock of seeing my own baby on the toilet paper.... I never want anyone else to go through what I experienced yesterday.
Hello everyone, med student here. Just came back from watching our professor do a twin delivery. I failed an exam a while ago and was depressed. But today I feel blessed to have access to all this knowledge. This video is a part of my test preparation. To all the ladies who have lost a baby, we have studied that 99% of miscarriages are only a one time thing and you can always try again. May you all be blessed. Your little ones will greet you in heaven. ❤
@@oluwamurewaopefeyitimi1464 3 consecutive miscarriages falls under Recurrent Miscarriage Issue, mostly due to some structure abnormality which can be fixed. How about you get a detailed checkup about why it's happening too much? Because 3 by definition is recurrent.
I never watched any videos before my d&c was performed. It’s a year later and I’m watching them now understanding why I bled for 2 weeks afterwards. It resolved the issues I had been dealing with for a month and telling doctors something was not right at all and they all telling me everything was normal and fine and I ended up begging for a d&c. Medicine today is so crazy but I’m glad I’m more educated now
Doctors are so...I don't know what it is..I accepted their words because I was still a college student short on cash..All I know is when I get that stable job and income I am walking in there and demanding them take my problems seriously. Hopefully it's not too late. Actually I do know what the problem is with doctors. They are dumb...well more clearly they are human. They'll stick with what's working for them rather than what will work for the patient. "in my 25 years of experience, you are ok" Instead of trusting the 40 yr old man whose been in his body for 40 yrs...They are not perfect and one should always run for a second opinion or put them in their place. They are humans and make mistakes. This is why machine learning and AI is so important. It must be developed without a human bias. So when those symptoms are placed into the machine, the AI will give an unbiased response to what could cause it.

Just had this for 4 months straight heavy bleeding due to a a fibroid and cyst. I was soo nervous. I inhaled the anesthesia and literally woke up and it was over. It stopped my bleeding soo far. Definately a fan of this.

Am facing right now. I was also 14 months. Did the doctor done D$C on you. Is it must? Can the miscarriage happen naturally. Let me get answer for these question please. Thanks
My sister had a miscarriage today. And the doctor will perform D&C. I hope she will be fine. And to those women who had miscarriage don't be depressed or sad. I feel extremely sorry for everyone. I wish this never happens with anyone
10 week today and no heartbeat,no development of fetal pole after 7 week. Doctor suggested this but I’m afraid of getting infected or scar tissue problem
Honestly guys I was so terrified I just did mines on 11/30 I was freaking out when I went inside the surgical room ugh and those machines beeping ! But once I was talking with the anesthesiologist I felt some comfort as soon as he applied the anesthesia I quickly KO and woke up fine with no pain super light bleeding. Today is my second day after the procedure and honestly I’m not bleeding or feeling any type of pain. I was 9 weeks pregnant when I had a silent miscarriage
@@Bhuvanasuryavlogs I was under general anesthesia so I didn’t feel anything. I woke up with no pain but on the 4th day after the procedure I did experience mild pain and heavier bleeding.
Same thing happened to me. I almost got sepsis! The pain was a 5-6 for two days, and then up to a 9-10 for the following two days. Calling in, the nurses kept telling me "pain is normal" "take ibuprofen" and if I wasn't soaking "2 pads per hour" not to worry about it. I didn't want to pay extra to go to the ER, but once I was about to pass out, I went and found out about the failed D&C. Now I'M a fertility nurse and will NEVER give that kind of bad advice to any poor woman!
My fiancé and I lost our baby at 10 weeks. No growth, no heartbeat, and the explanation we got was “it happens”. Everyday I just think about what did we do wrong? Could I have done anything different? I mourn in silence almost every day on my way to work. This type of hurt and pain just hits different and I feel for each and every one of you. I pray that all of the mothers and fathers who lost their babies know you will see them in due time. God has them and is taking care of them. Just know God loves you all. I don’t know why things like this happen, but they do. As a man who was looking forward to his baby and then suddenly having that pride and joy stripped away with no notice is heart breaking. I feel for all of you. And I pray you find peace and comfort in your hearts and just know you have a little angel watching over you.
Exact same thing happened to us - 10 weeks, no heartbeat, no growth. I just had this procedure done yesterday after two rounds of misoprostol + 5 weeks of bleeding since the miscarriage diagnosis ❤️🩹 not sure why I had the curiosity to look up the procedure afterwards but glad it brought me to the comments to connect with others that have gone through the same thing. Praying for our healing journey and healthy pregnancies in the future 👼🏻
Im still pulling myself together after last night had to facing the fact that my doctor couldn’t found my sweetheart baby heart beat after just 2 weeks ago i heard it loud and my baby just perfect. The only option left now is just curette and it was scheduling next 2 day for im writing this 😔. Hoping i have strength for ‘that day’ 🙏🏼
Just went through this. It was truly devastating and heartbreaking. Just did my D & C today. I was out cold. I'm cramping but nothing compared to the medication they gave me the night before to open my cervix up. I arrived to the hospital and bleed right through my clothes and everything. It was horrible I was passing clots and everything. Very Traumatic the nurses were holding my hand in giving me hugs they were truly amazing. Thank God it happened there and not home. But overall the procedure seem to go very well. Wishing all the best ladies hugs and kisses ❤
@@ericaf.6613 I’m so sorry hun. Everything will be okay, it really is a simple procedure. Small tip I would invest in a heating pad . I had some cramping after mine, it helped.
I have pcos and a bicornuate uterus so it'll be hard to conceive and carry a baby if I were to get pregnant again 😔😔 and still no luck getting pregnant
Katiie Love hey Katiie... I’m sure no one else can feel ur pain, imI went through the same.. however, there is just one thing.. In our India, we usually say that a moment a girl is born, a mother is born inside her coz she carries so much love, care and compassion within her... you have tons of love and devotion in you... I, for sure believe that miracles do happen.. sitting miles away from you, I can tell you, that God will make way for someone deserving to come and cherish all that love from you... even if it’s not your own flesh and blood, but m 100% sure that you will make a fantastic mother.. just don’t let this wait and sadness dampen and suppress all that love within you... I’m sure you that you are an amazing person... reach out your hands and I’m sure, you wl get all that love back... my best wishes to you and your family...
I just got this done today after all the pain and cramping for weeks I'm finally feeling better I was afraid but procedure was fast and I was sleep through it all thank you HARRISBURG hospital . I'm still grieving from the lost of my baby 💔💔💔😪😪
I've just taken my second dose of misoprostol to clear left over tissue and it unfortunately hasn't worked - looks like I'm up for this, absolutely terrified.
we lost our baby exactly at 12:00 am of january 1st 2022 at that time we announced we were having a baby. during the 1st minute of 12:00am my wife bled so much we had to go to the ER were the procedure happened, we're still in the hospital right now and we watched the video. we will make it through this so as anyone who experienced it. although our first minute of year 2022 isnt that good I hope this whole new year will be great for our family.
My heart goes for you and ur wife. I just had d&c surgery too and lost my baby I was 14 weeks but the fetus died somewhere at 10 weeks. Wondering if they were able to see the gender. Being able to name my child will make me feel better a little
I am kinda late ⏰ this happened to me and my husband we found out we was pregnant June 6th 2022 the same day we had to be rushed to the er to get more test’s done just to find out we we’re miscarrying. It was my first pregnancy. But I told myself I wouldn’t give up. Because God will bless us with a family and we will keep trying.
The procedure itself wasn't bad. There was some light bleeding and cramping after, but that was really it. It's the waiting on the results that's hard. Mine was a diagnostic for a possible partial Molar Pregnancy. Still waiting on final results.
I had this today yesterday . I didn't feel a thing. Dr said I did great. I came home rested. No cramps ,will follow Drs orders and rest 2 days. Last Jan had 2 months of post menopausal cysts. I was fine till Oct then fill blown 4 months of clots & periods. I am 55 I never had a mensus this for sure made up for all I never went through in my life ! Its a simple painfree procedure . If you need one I recommend it . Its been 24 hrs and I still have no cramps !
I’m not going to lie I was very tender and uncomfortable afterwards. I am glad I had this procedure done as it need to be done but I’m sore from having this done 3 days ago. 😢
I will be having this procedure on Monday. I am 13 weeks, but an embryo never formed in my gestational sac that stopped growing at 6 weeks. My last ultrasound also showed signs of a Molar Pregnancy. They will have to remove the empty sac as well as the moles to test them. Heartbreaking to think your baby is growing, when in fact, it never formed in its sac, but your body still thinks it's pregnant due to malignant tumors. Wishing rainbow babies for all of us trying out there!!! 🌈🌈🌈
Hi there :) I was in the same situation as you. I had a emergency surgery on Wednesday and I was at 11 weeks. Wishing only but the best for you love ❤️
Have the best Dr! Had this done this afternoon due to an almost 3 month period & heavy clot passing. The only pain I felt was the IV in my hand. Surgery took less than 30 mins.. results in a week hopefully then determining whether hysterectomy will be done soon. No cramping for me at all. Took Motrin 800 for sore throat from tube during general anesthesia.
My baby never formed in their sac, so... Yeah. No baby to hurt in this process. Just a broken heart for me. But thanks though. I will miss the baby I never had.
Tomorrow is my surgery now I understand why and where I will experience pain. It is important to understand your body. During my miscarriage I had to see cardiologist, hematologist, neurologist, and gynecologist. This, I don't know why is happening to me during my miscarriage. Thank God I don't have cancerous cells or stroke but I am in the borderline. Been trying to stay busy.
Thanks for bringing life into this world ❤❤ postpartum depression is very real..support woman who gave birth and try ur best to make it happy experience for them
i had the procedure done to stop and treat abnormal uterine bleeding. for the first time, i skipped a period for 2 months that caused my endometrium lining to thicken as a result i had heavy and prolong bleeding that went on for a month. i went to the OB-GYNE, she did an internal examination and found out my cervix was open. i had to have a D&C to stop the bleeding,i didn't know and felt the procedure as I was totally asleep. i woke up the procedure was done.
I have this done 3 days ago when I had a miscarriage. I didn't know that I was 20 weeks pregnant, no morning sickness , vomiting or any symptoms at all. I have an inborn medical condition called bicornuate uterus, also diagnosed with PCOS last june. So, we're really not expecting a baby since I already talked to 5 Ob-gyne doctors and said the same thing. They said, I'll have a hard time getting pregnant without medications. Also, prone to miscarriage and deformity to baby. So, this is really heartbreaking for me. Just when I thought it's dysmenorrhea, I went to pee and just saw my baby came out of me. I don't know where to go from here. 😔😢
I had this procedure done twice for a complete molar pregnancy back in 2019. The first time I was given false information by the doctor he said he removed all the tissue mass which he did not and that resulted in a regrow with many many complications for months. I am thankful for the specialist that saved my utetus and ultimately my life
@@catemwangi1450 I wouldn't say it was really painful I was sleep during the procedure both time but the first time any pressure on my lower stomach did cause some pain and discomfort but not the second time around. Other than that I had no pain or anything
@Ria Booth oh bless you. This is so reassuring. I'll be having mine tomorrow or the day after and i was so afraid before now because i really fear pain. I'm so encouraged right now. ❤ from Kenya
@@catemwangi1450 I'm glad I could help, yeah just make sure you wear loose fitting bottoms or a dress so you don't have any pressure on your stomach other than that you shouldn't have any pain. I hope everything goes well🥰
i had this yesterday due to the fetus has no heartbeat. i lost my 10weeks angel.and it's painful after the anesthesia subside you will feel pain at the lower part of your spinal cord and tummy due to scraping.
katherine francisco-feliciano I lost my little angel too at 6 weeks last two weeks ago when I had my second ultrasound. I haven't bleed for the last two weeks. My doctor gave me medicines til sunday if nothing happens yet, I'll undergo D&C.
My baby lost the heartbeat at 3mos yesterday...last month everything was normal then even in sonar no heartbeat can found..so i will be waiting for 1 week more for confirmation if really doesnt have a heartbeat i will proceed for this procedure..i cried hard after hearing wht doctor said...i was getting ready and take out all the old new born clothes of my older children...my heart is broken but doctor said to me God has reason u have to be still thankful❤
I had this done with no anesthesia and it was torture. Women need to be given proper pain management. I now have flashbacks and PTSD from the experience.
I had this done today. No heartbeat at 9wks. The doctors only offered me 3 options. Take a few pills that'll make my body abort, have a D&C awake with light local anesthesia and a light sedative or be put to sleep in a hospital to have the D&C done (which was more expensive). I didn't want to abort at home because the past 2 miscarriages were long and felt like labor. So chose option 2. And OMG this has left me traumatized. The pain... is unimaginable. She tried to numb my uterus but I could feel everything! The needles, the suction, the scraping and twirling of her tools in me. I felt gutted 😔 luckily I was able to hold/squeeze my fiance's hand. I cried, I tried to hold in my screams. Pls do this with either twilight sedation or place to sleep. Being awake is very traumatic.

I had one also. General anesthesia. I was somewhat sore after but I had medication. I didn't have days or weeks to get nervous. I had just delivered at 18 weeks, 4 days. So they let my husband and I stay with our little girl until she passed. Then I had to go straight in for the procedure.
I had this done when I was 17. I had a miscarriage and didnt pass properly. I was grieving, had to have surgery, then rhe father of my child forced himself on me after a few days even though he knew it would hurt me. Never thought he would do that. Thankfully I didnt suffer terrible repercussions (that I'm aware of) from it but it was painful.
My husband and I found out I had an incomplete miscarriage. Was supposed to be 12 weeks this past Friday . On Wednesday I went for an extra us because I was spotting for a week and I then started to get cramps . They then told me that day my baby had no heartbeat . I was devastated . The next day I had to call 911 because the pain was literally the worst I’ve ever experienced. . ER did not do anything except give me pain pills and said I should pass it because I’m aready in the process . Turns out they do an US and my baby died at 9 weeks 2 days . So it was almost 2-3 weeks and I wasn’t passing anything except blood. Next day I saw my OB and they sent me to the er again for emergency d and c . We are so sad about this . The pain was unbelievable though . I feel much better after surgery now it’s just mourning and getting on with life after knowing we lost our first baby 😢
I'm 53 and had this done to differentiate between endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial cancer. So it's not always young or pregnant women. Truth be told, I'm in the biggest group that commonly has this procedure. This whole thing took about an hour, and I had "twilight" anesthesia as well as a local in the cervix. Not too bad. The excruciating one was the in-office biopsy that took about 5 minutes and was the reason I had the D&C (needed a look inside with a scope and a bigger tissue sample). There is no anesthesia for that, and it was truly the most painful thing I've ever had done (including my childhood spinal taps). Thankfully it's short, but I have to have them every 3-6 months for the next few years. Not looking forward to that.
I was 26 and post thyroid cancer surgery when I had to have my uterine biopsy in my GYN office due to bleeding for 5 months. I was crying and shaking. That pain aint no joke.
I had same gyn problems, and procedures..3 years later I had a total hysterectomy. That was 8 and a half years ago. It turned out to be a true blessing, as not only were the heavy bleeding and pains gone..but, I had the beginning of uterine cancer, also my ovaries were turning into cancer?... I've always told my story... to women..you know your body... talk to your Dr.. waiting only makes it worse and can make treatment more intense..
The heartbeats start at 22 days, we can hear the heartbeat 5 1/2 - 6 weeks. Some people don’t realize how precious a baby is, some people can’t even have them. God blessed you with this baby and it would be horrible if you just threw it away.
Went to the er at 14 weeks pregnant after I started experiencing some bleeding, turns out I had miscarried at 7 weeks.... so now I'm getting a therapeutic D&C since baby won't drop on their own 😔
Literally what I’m going through right now 14 weeks the baby measured 9 weeks with no heartbeat. They said everything was fine at 7 weeks but I guess not.
My OBGYN did not do that to me. He put his hand up to his elbow in pulling my no heartbeat baby out of me after he inserted medication for my son to come out aborted. He had no heart beat. I had PAIN. AGONIZING PAIN. I BEGGED HIM TO STOP. I ASKED HIS NURSE TO MAKE HIM STOP! NOTHING as this D&C even took place! I posted on another UA-cam. I even had therapy years later because of that disrespectful doctor. God stopped him with a heart attack a few years later. Justice then and this year my son has been deceased for 35 years. That doctor died at age 35. Justice.
I've had this done six times, and the last time I had an endometrial abasion too. No more periods! It doesn't hurt. The anxiety you feel before is a whole lot worse than after. I been there. Trust me. :^) Good luck.
I never had a full miscarriage, I was told by my doctor I would naturally miscarry. I bled for a week heavily then it stopped. Almost 2 months later I started bleeding heavily again & went to the er. I still had an 8 week old sac in my uterus but no baby the doctor dilated my cervix & just told me to push he never scraped anything out.
Nice video about Dilataion and Curettage. Its really an important procedure in Obs and gynae, especially diagnostic curretage in different conditions like amenorrhea due to PCOD and in cases like endometrial hyperplasia and in condition when a patient is on tamoxifen or with post -menopausal bleeding etc,, this DnC is very helpful in saving the life of a patient by doing timely diagnosis of the condition like endometrail carcinoma.
done this yesterday by my OB Gyne . painless but still I felt terrible pain even I had anesthesia put in my dextrose. ..I'm in a recovery mode mode now .bed rest for 3 days.before I had heavy bleed not slightly bleed.I had ADEMYOSIS so to check what on my uterus this operation is a must....
I have a question did it stop your heavy bleeding im diagnosed with complex endometrial hyperplasia with atypia been bleeding non stop for a year and 2 months now finally having this done any advice you can give me
How is endometriosis detected during this procedure and when it's removed, will it return? A few years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had cysts on my ovaries. I told him before I went under, if he found anything to go a head and give me a hysterectomy. He did not do as I asked. He said he just zapped them all off. Now I'm 52 and I have been having on and off again periods and am in menopause. But the pain is excruciating. I don't want to go back simply because he didn't listen to begin with. So my question is, do you think it all came back? And isn't endometriosis cancer?
I had mine first on feb and now, just happened this morning. This time i feel my body shrinked :( i hope i can recover soon. I lost my 2 babies already :"((
I have a d&c tomorrow because they think they left some of my daughters placenta in me for over a year now I didn't bleed for 2 months then heavy bleeding and clots up till now with pain and dizziness I thought it was my pros tbh and lack of iron due to me being anemic
I had this procedure done two days ago and I was relieved immediately of any discomfort. I am currently still spotting but nothing like the periods I have had in previous months. I can’t sit up for long periods as it feels like something is healing and slightly swollen so I’m laid down with my foot elevated- don’t want any blood clotting issues. My throat feels a little dry with a slight cough from the tube that was inserted in my throat so dring lots of liquids and cough up any phlegm- can lead to pneumonia. I hope this helps someone :-)
I had d&c yesterday. I supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant but the ultrasound scan showed that baby measured just 8weeks and 3 days, and there was no heart beat... It's called missed miscarriage or silent miscarriage. My body couldn't do it on it's own so I have to had d&c. After operation i feel really good. They gave me general anesthesia, so I was sleeping and couldnd feel anything. I have no pain, and just light bleeding.
Aww sorry for your lose my sister having one now her baby's heart beat stop beating so there putting her to sleep for this I'm waiting for her to let me know she's ok now I feel so bad my poor niece or nephew but they check different weeks and was confirmed no heart beat :(
I'm having the same situation like you now. 😭😭 I'm scared to undergo D&C because i heard that this is so painful. I don't know what to do and your words helps to calm me down. I would ask my Dr. if she could put general anesthesia on me.
One of the hardest things right now is... I had a check-up Friday. No fetal heart beat... This is my second miscarriage... Currently carrying the baby deceased now until I get scheduled for this d/c procedure...

I just had this procedure done today and it was honestly so smooth. I was under general anesthesia. The hardest part was the nurse sticking me with IV. I woke up crying tho. I just woke up immediately thinking I really lost my baby. I was only 9 weeks ☹️ But they gave me some super strong narcotics that really realllllly helped with pain.
I did this procedure last Friday. My baby was so wanted and loved... unfortunately my baby died and I was forced to make this horrible choice about doing this procedure. Ill find out next friday exactly what went wrong and why my baby's life ended so soon.. Im really sad about my loss I don't know how im going to get through this..
Chelaine van Dyk I totally understand. It definitely was tough. Cry as much as you want, if you’re able to, take time off from work to just be alone and grieve. In the meantime, I just try to remember I have a little angel that will forever be looking over me. Maybe that will help you also. Maybe for Christmas (if you celebrate it) you can get a special ornament just for your little angel. I wish you the best!
I did this without anesthesia and that really hurt. My stupid doctor did it the first time and had the nerve to tell me he didn't get enough. I recommend u be put under.
How many weeks were you? Sorry for your los sis I had d&c surgery last night at 14 weeks but I was told the fetus died BW 9-10 weeks. Wondering if they were able to identify the gender. It will at least make me feel better a little just by know what my baby was and able to name it😭
I just found out my baby has no heartbeat today at 10 weeks my heart is broken but life goes on though im scared to do this thing i hope it gets naturally
@@esteriray346 congratulations. Hope you have a healthy pregnancy. Did you really get a D&C before or did it cleared out naturally? I'm curious because I heard from people that D&C might make later conceiving difficult due to scraping of the uterus. I want to be well informed about this.
So sorry for your loss... I pray you all have rainbow babies. It's not just a clump of cells, it's a life growing. Heartbeat is detected by 6 to 8 weeks.
i've done this like last 3 days. been heavy bleeding for many days until i get low HB, and after a few scanning and hysteroscopy, my doctor suggest me to undergo for this D&C procedures so all the blood clot can be clean. Unfortunately, im doing this without anaethesia, and i felt like im going through hell. i got fever at midnight after the procedures.
My OB is scheduling me to get a D&C because of my heavy bleeding with clots and it’s making my hemoglobin low. I’m wondering the same thing, If it helped them.
I'm here because I'm in menopause but started bleeding again. Due to having an ablation in my 40s and so much scar tissue no doctor can get sufficient biopsy samples to tell me why or if it's cancer so my Dr says I need this in order to get biopsy. I see no other comment on here like mine so now I'm even more afraid.
This is what I had done last night. I was having unexplained heavy vaginal bleeding for a month and a half. Three days ago it turned to hemorrhaging and finally I decided to call my gyn. I have stage 4 endometriosis. No children/never been pregnant. 29 years old. History of chocolate cysts on right ovary. This doesn't look like that bad of a procedure. Though I went in at midnight and was out by 2am, I was sent home at 10am this morning. I am feeling ok, just tired,, of course.
I had a D+C after I lost a pregnancy and was bleeding .. the ultrasound showed the placenta retained.. I wish the medical field would stop calling it an incomplete abortion..she was a beautiful baby.. a precious gift that The Lord took home
Just found out my baby has no heartbeat today and I’m being schedule to have this done. My baby was very wanted. I’m beyond broken 💔. Thank you for the informative video.

I know I'm reading this months later. After you had to go through that horrific heartbreaking. Trauma but that doesn't mean that prayers aren't being said for you and your family and praying that God takes wonderful care of you.
sorry for your loss i just got this done yesterday due to the same reason. doctor said there was no fetal growth and no heartbeat detected
Hi to everyone in the comments. I'm a diagnostic sonographer who often performs pelvic and obstetric scans. Just wanted to say I've seen what emotions women go through when they are told they have had a miscarriage or their pregnancy is non-viable.

I have had miscarriages 3 times now. All at 5 weeks. I am fed up
@@oluwamurewaopefeyitimi1464 3 consecutive miscarriages falls under Recurrent Miscarriage Issue, mostly due to some structure abnormality which can be fixed.
Medicine today is so crazy but I’m glad I’m more educated now
Tell me about it
Doctors are so...I don't know what it is..I accepted their words because I was still a college student short on cash..All I know is when I get that stable job and income I am walking in there and demanding them take my problems seriously.

Pls tell me if it’s easy? I’m very scared but I have heavy bleeding for 5 months??
Thank you for watching and sharing.

Hey what was your endometrial Thickening? And what was the biopsy result?
The heartbeats start at 22 days, we can hear the heartbeat 5 1/2 - 6 weeks. Some people don’t realize how precious a baby is, some people can’t even have them. God blessed you with this baby and it would be horrible if you just threw it away.

You are right.
Trust me. :^)
Good luck.
jenn berliner thank you I’m going in Monday. This made me feel more calm.
@@sofiabravo1994 how did it go?
I Has mine done not feel a thing no period
Definitely does hurt
I'm getting this soon I'm Scared
I never had a full miscarriage, I was told by my doctor I would naturally miscarry. I bled for a week heavily then it stopped. Almost 2 months later I started bleeding heavily again & went to the er. I still had an 8 week old sac in my uterus but no baby the doctor dilated my cervix & just told me to push he never scraped anything out.
That's sad
Mine is 6weeks just got today I m so upset n depressed! My best wishes to all who suffered or going through from this phase of life.
Please tell me this is done under general anesthesia....
The physical pain I felt watching this-
Nice video about Dilataion and Curettage.
No mm mm mkkk
I have a question did it stop your heavy bleeding im diagnosed with complex endometrial hyperplasia with atypia been bleeding non stop for a year and 2 months now finally having this done any advice you can give me
@@laaiinneeluis4418 didn’t stop my bleeding
How is endometriosis detected during this procedure and when it's removed, will it return? A few years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had cysts on my ovaries. I told him before I went under, if he found anything to go a head and give me a hysterectomy. He did not do as I asked. He said he just zapped them all off. Now I'm 52 and I have been having on and off again periods and am in menopause. But the pain is excruciating. I don't want to go back simply because he didn't listen to begin with. So my question is, do you think it all came back? And isn't endometriosis cancer?
You mean thickening of the endometrium. So you have bleeding again after the doctor zapped them all off?
I had mine first on feb and now, just happened this morning. This time i feel my body shrinked :( i hope i can recover soon. I lost my 2 babies already :"((
Bilal Khan why would you use that emoji to someone that commented about losing two of her babies? That’s kinda disgusting
Me too
I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my baby at 11weeks on 8/13/2020- 11 days before my birthday.
I have a d&c tomorrow because they think they left some of my daughters placenta in me for over a year now I didn't bleed for 2 months then heavy bleeding and clots up till now with pain and dizziness I thought it was my pros tbh and lack of iron due to me being anemic
It is very painful and terrible
I have no pain, and just light bleeding.
hugs!
Aww sorry for your lose my sister having one now her baby's heart beat stop beating so there putting her to sleep for this I'm waiting for her to let me know she's ok now I feel so bad my poor niece or nephew but they check different weeks and was confirmed no heart beat :(
I am having the same issue . Emergency surgery is tommorow. Thank you for your comments they have comforted me to know my bleeding will subsized

I had this done but I was put to sleep.. Only had spotting afterwards... No pain.
Any pain afterwards, clotting, cramping etc?
Mine is very painful because they let me labor since my cervix is not opening.
@@ms.moniquebrown6754 I had slight cramping from my uterus shrinking back to size.. Just like after a delivery.. And that's about it.. I was in Times Square moving around a few hours after the procedure..
@@ArtandKitchen_ I had dilators put In 24 hours in advance by them.. So it opened my cervix over night.. By the time I went in the next day.. It was a smooth process
@@monij8743 they put something in me too. It was very painful I cant sleep..you never felt the contract in your cervix?
Wird man mit Gesichtsmaske beatmet oder Kehlkopfmaske? Wenn Gesichtsmaske dann mit Gudeltubus oder Wendeltubus oder nicht notwendig? LG
I woke up crying aswell
Is it necessary to tie belly after D&C,and take rest and to follow delivery care.
Just did mine today. Went to sleep and woke up later with cramps. Less traumatizing then getting a pill and going home to pass it on my own.
Having this done because ultrasound showed thick and divided uterus. Also biopsies will be done..nervous anyone else?
Shelly how did your procedure go?
And was it painful for you?

I did this without anesthesia and that really hurt. My stupid doctor did it the first time and had the nerve to tell me he didn't get enough. I recommend u be put under.
Did u get pregnant again after doing it?
Please tel me dnc cost
Lost my son and I wish I could see his beautiful face 😣never want to go through this again

How many weeks were you? Sorry for your los sis I had d&c surgery last night at 14 weeks but I was told the fetus died BW 9-10 weeks. Wondering if they were able to identify the gender. It will at least make me feel better a little just by know what my baby was and able to name it😭
How about after the anesthesia is gone? It must be painful
Very painful
I’m in pain rn after a week.

Is this same thing and the vacuum suction?
May GOD save all soul from D&C .and stay save under the grace of lord.its so painful
Day before surgery? What surgery
So sorry for your loss... I pray you all have rainbow babies.
It's not just a clump of cells, it's a life growing. Heartbeat is detected by 6 to 8 weeks.

26 May 2022, I'm in the hospital preparing for this procedure in 4 hours. Emotionally I'm not okay
I’m having it done Tuesday June 7, 2022. Emotions are all over the place
i've done this like last 3 days. been heavy bleeding for many days until i get low HB, and after a few scanning and hysteroscopy, my doctor suggest me to undergo for this D&C procedures so all the blood clot can be clean. Unfortunately, im doing this without anaethesia, and i felt like im going through hell. i got fever at midnight after the procedures.
You need to have anesthesia for this procedure. I wouldn't let an obgyn do this without anesthesia.
I’m scared that I should make it again and again, and I read that bleeding isn’t stop with it??
Did anybody get D&C because of heavy menstrual bleeding?
My OB is scheduling me to get a D&C because of my heavy bleeding with clots and it’s making my hemoglobin low. I’m wondering the same thing, If it helped them.
@@courtlynkaley1733 did you get the procedure done if so how has it helped?
I will need this procedure in mid November.
I lost my baby at 9 weeks 10/10/21 I had no clue that I was pregnant. I had this d&c yesterday. I hoping to try again soon
مممممممم
Went through this procedure but I stopped bleeding the next day. Is it norma?l I had a 8weeks miscarriage
Its completely normal. I’ve had 2 done. You only bleed for a few days.
So did you ever get pregnant after having this done
How are u doing now?
@@lovelypate262 no. There’s no way. Once it’s gone it’s gone.

Do they put you under anesthesia for the whole thing…is there any pain like an IUD procedure?
2022 i had another miscarriage... I'm so so hurt. Why God why
But what is the difference between curretrage and the aspiration ?
I had a D+C after I lost a pregnancy and was bleeding .. the ultrasound showed the placenta retained.. I wish the medical field would stop calling it an incomplete abortion..she was a beautiful baby.. a precious gift that The Lord took home

What is the side effects of d&c for 60+ aged woman if she has enlarged endometrium? Why it is needed?
