What a great reaction . We all feel the same about Stevie and his music and his soul. It's like he poured his lifeforce into that guitar and it gave him everything he asked for. And we are the lucky recipients. And don't even get me started about what is called music in this age. Besides King SRV, there are also true musicians and vocalists from the 80's than the e past 2 decades combined. Not to mention the British invasion of the 60's. What is happening?! ☮️ to all

Your last name made me remember Jon Gomm...dude is insane. He does Chakka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" playing rhythm, lead, AND percussion at the same time on an acoustic. But, if you check him out, pull up the version WITHOUT the vocals. You'll probably dig it.

AWESOME REACTION!!! He couldn't read music, had his eyes closed and played behind his back without missing a beat!!! Put his SOUL into his guitar which makes a Beautiful sound! Never mind he takes that song and makes it a 10 minute solo! Glad your FAN now!! ENJOY😍😍😍😍😍😍🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Stevie didn’t need auto tune. He just retuned his guitar in the middle of a solo without missing a beat. Check out the video of him playing Pipeline with his older brother Jimmie. It’s just as amazing, and really touching.

It’s a shame music like this gets lost in time. I’ve been deeply deeply into music my whole life, I’m 40 and I have never seen anything come close to what he just did in this performance.

Buddy Guy is still alive and performing. If you love this music do yourself a favor and see him while you still can. He performed with many of the greats and they looked up to him as well..you know names like hedrix,SRV and Muddy Waters. He played with the greats and was respected among them as being great himself. You won't regret it. Best show I've been to

Hey Miss BreI so agree with you on so many levels, iam 57 yrs old and even before my time alot of talent was taking away the song from the 70's by Don McLean American Pie was about the day he said the music died he was referring to the day we lost Ritchie Valens,The Big Bopper, and Buddy Holly in a plane crash. All amazing performer's... Stevie Ray Vaughn was just like the best guitarist to come along since the late great Jimi Hendrix.
Nothing but Love to you Miss Bre

I never get tired of our younger generations reacting to this God-given talent. I was one of the lucky ones who spent my teen years listening to SRV. After all these years he still moves me to the core.

  • @andaimhineach4131
    @andaimhineach4131 2 роки тому +9

Perfect commentary. I saw him the night before he died and a bunch of my friends were there that final night. He was every bit as solid a human and gentleman (*more important*) as he was a musical genius. The same can/should be said about Jimi Hendrix; the two sides of the GOAT coin. May God grant them both rest and bless and protect the rest of us!

I loved your enthusiasm and I love SRV. I recently saw an interview on UA-cam with Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton of Double Trouble. They told how they once arrived at a venue they were playing and found that B.B. King was onstage playing. Stevie asked about it and was told B.B. was opening for them. Stevie went ballistic and told everyone that there was never to be another time that B.B. or any other Blues Legend would open a show. He should be opening for them. Amazing man.

What are the chances that we would be able to exist in the same time as this guy? He could play as softly as a velvet tear or as rough and hard as the Rocky Mountains. Just when you think he got where he wanted to be he always manages to find another gear. He was the greatest guitarist ever in my humble opinion. Great video ma'am!

He was so special he was humble and kind did not let his success go to his head and ALWAYS loved all the ones that come before him . I remember one story where he was on your and he saw the poster where he was playing and went crazy it had BB King as an opening act he went to them and told them in no certain terms that BB was not opening for him they was sharing the bill .

Seeing Stevie play live in the kind of zone he was in that night in Toronto at the El Mocambo is like having a religious experience on a hot Saturday night in a revival tent down south somewhere. Stevie is the preacher that the scripture flows out of effortlessly, thus allowing his guitar to speak in tongues. Can I get an Amen!

SRV used heavy, thicker strings to achieve the sound he desired. There are videos of him breaking a string and having to switch guitars mid song. Also, in some of the live concert videos, if you look closely at his left hand you might notice his fingertips appear to be burnt. That's because the heavy strings would cut his fingertips. Ever the hard working entertainer, he would squeeze CRAZY GLUE onto the cuts on his fingertips so he could keep playing his guitar. Believe it or not. Thanks for the great reaction.

They’re very heavy strings, 13 gauge usually, so notice Stevie Ray👉🏾often shaking the neck of his guitar whilst he’s playing, he does that to get that vibrato, that unique sound that only he made. It’s beautiful, really, seeing people being turned on to him. Love everyone.❤️

First time on your channel, glad I clicked. Your reaction was so pure, so heartfelt that I got teary eyed with you. You obviously know music and the talent that goes with it. Yeah, subbed.

A fantastic reaction Bre. You seem to really appreciate outstanding talent when you see it. I honestly cannot attest to music nowadays. I do however, from time to time enjoy listening to my favorites along with reactions from the younger crowd.
    Thanks and take care.

PS: Other than SRV I'm sure you would appreciate some Alvin Lee with Ten Years After. Help me, I can't keep from crying, Little school girl, The Hobbit.
Same rock/blues stuff that I'm sure you would like.

You nailed it on the head with talent then and now. I’m not saying there’s no talented artist out it was just different. He had no auto tune or it wasn’t all compressed like songs are now.
