For real, just got my ML3 and every 'intro' video I look at to try and get started feels like it's already at an expert level compared to where I am :D
@@pickednads6 estou passando pela mesma situação. Nunca vi um passo a passo tão incompleto. Eu comprei o minilab 3 e me parece que não tem o Analog 3 para baixar no site, só a atualização para o 4, que tem custo, aí não condiz com o que dizem entregar, que o Analog está incluso no pacote. O Abetlon que oferecem no site é o Lite 11 e também não estou encontrando o tal do app MIDI para baixar. Enfim, patinação das brabas. Se eu tivesse lido os comentários antes talvez não teria adquirido esse produto, só pelo trampo para poder usá-lo.
Well once I plugged mine in, just like she said it was recognized and working perfectly all I had to do was open a VST and press the keys

It isn't mentioned in the video, but you need to have installed both 'Arturia Software Center' and 'MIDI Control Center' for it to work as shown.

Be aware that you get Analog Lab Intro and not the Upgraded version which costs an additional $69 to receive the full version :)
There is nothing to warn you that it costs extra for additional voices and for a license to record your own copyrighted material.
What about Minilab 3 integration with V Collection plugins such as Mini V, CS-80, etc.? Can you control all parameters of these plugins without having to MIDI map them?
for anyone not able to use the knobs in analog lab make sure u go to the fl chanel setting knob then press the second one ( plug and wheel symbols ) and put midi input port on 10.. fixed
Frustrating... 2:17 "will automatically recognize Minilab 3 once its connected". I just bought/registered/updated a Arturia Minilab 3, and installed Analog Lab Intro. Analog Lab Intro seems to work; I select instruments, press keys with the mouse, and hear sound. When I do, the Minilab 3 shows which instrument has been selected, but pressing keys on the Minilab 3 does nothing. I've selected 'Arturia' with Shift-Prog but it doesn't move keys/knobs/faders on the Analog Lab screen. UPDATE: you have to go to MIDI Settings in Control as well as in Analog Lab and select Minilab3 MIDI (not the other Minilab3 selections).
I have the same problem, my mini lab 3 does nothing, on the analog lab I just can use the mouse, I active the midi setting (minilab 3), but it doesn't work any idea?, the programa is análog lab intro

In the samples, the keys are looped and play multiple notes before hitting the hold button.. which setting is that?

My LED screen doesn't show the name of the preset, it just says Arturia, even as I navigate through them. Any suggestions about where I'm going wrong?
@@monkeypeas you could try updating with MIDI Control Center to the latest firmware (at the time of writing it is v1.05)

Is it an option to make a ON/OFF switch of the Shift knob? Easier to control with just one hand.. :)
After one year of almost not using it...I updated all firmwares and software...still having connectivity issues where the unit goes in a "freeze"state and nothing responds....MacBook Air Pro 2018 with all OS updates and patches up-to-date...Running Logic X Pro latest update... very frustrating....

i seem to be having issues changing presets with the main knob in artuira mode for my Mini V
its funny cause i was using it for a month without installing the software etc and it worked fine
when i downloaded the software i noticed i could control more of the parameters with the knobs etc but the funciontality of changing presets with the main knob no longer works
its probably me but curious what people did for this - if i cant use this main knob to change the presets of the the mini v - im gonna be a lil disappointed - i get i have to map 3rd party plugins - but it should be automatic with arturia things

My pads do not sound like drums.
For example when I chose ''Sliver Dawn'' in Analog lab,, and hit the drumpads it is only playing lower notes of the piano. Same for any other preset.
I checked the midi controller and update the Firmware,
I tried to change (Shift+pad) from Bank A to Bank B, but it does not change.
Any idea of who to have pads sound like drumpads ?
Hello! Thank you for this! I have a small question, at min 1.20 when you turn the nob while playing, I have this issue that when I turn one nob while playing or recording the sound gets cut off because the virtual nob starts automatically from 0. Have you ever heard of this or know how it can be fixed?

My minilab 3 knobs and faders don’t work, it won’t control analog lab unless midi channel is set to all channels. I want to set it to specific channel but once that is done all control is lost.
Prob figured it out by now, but right-click on the nob you want to control on your vst. Then, simply turn the nob you want assigned to the nob you right-clicked.
I have my Minilab 3 from few days ago, but can't seems to connect with Analog Lab Intro. Even at Settings > MIDI tab where it looks like it's connected it still can't make a sound. It's Shift + Prog to Arturia as well. Anyone else have the same issue?
for me the keys work, and knobs too but it dosnt seem to show what sound im playing, it dosnt show on the screen what sound im currently playing and what knob values im changing
@@renars929 I'm having this issue atm. Did you manage to work it out? I can play the keys but the knobs and sliders don't communicate on screen
@@FriedEggSarnie i didnt find neither did i figure anything out. the screen just what seems at random decides to show the slider and sound names and sometimes it dosnt. i just accepted it. but still, a great tool. good luck with your music!

Hi. Thanks for this video. I got my minilab 3 last weekend. So far am not able to really dive into it. The firmware is updated. My PC is alright. Analog is installed. However, when I connect minilab 3 to my Windows10 HP computer, pressing any of the 29 keys doesn't produce any sound. Not able to figure out yet. Not sure if the unit is faulty or otherwise. However, the OLED shows Arturia when connected. And when I choose an instrument with my touchpad/external mouse of laptop, the instrument shows up at OLED. But pressing the 29 keys doesn't give me a sound. If I use the touchpad/external mouse of laptop to press a key on the Analog interface, the sound is heard as expected.
Do I need to make any settings before expecting a sound on pressing any of the 29 keys?

hello, i plug it and sometimes (the most of the times ) it doesn't play! on live ableton and logic.The daw mode and the analog mode also dont work, the controllers just dont answer.. i bought it yesterday, and I'll returning it. Also waiting answers by Arturia

I was asked to check and uncheck few boxes in the Midi control center desktop app...After doing that my minilab3 started working ...
And it synchronizes with the Ableton Live Lite that you get with the minilab...I do have full paid Intro Live of Ableton... it's more feature rich than Live Lite that came with minilab3 but the keyboard doesnt synchronise with my Ableton 10 Intro...Don't know why...Well...

Now it's a different fact that I am not very excited about my minilab3 due to 2 reasons...
1) I felt the keys hard ... Challenge to play fast tempo melodies...
2) 25 keys keyboard isn't very comfortable though it has Octave + -buttons...
.
Build quality is good, appearance is nice...But I felt i should invest in 49 or 61 keys keyboard..

Nothing to die for...Workable, so so and for a mental pleasure that my keyboard has pads...That's it nothing more than that...
Please try your hand before buying...Just 25 keys is a big letdown...And the hard keys...Good luck

This is great and all, but maybe you could’ve included the part of the tutorial that you have to go into the Audio Midi settings to set up your Mini lab3 so that you can actually do anything in the software. Make better tutorials
I wish I knew Analog Lab wasn't made for indie music, instead was made for edm type music
I wish you didn't have to click. When the preset shows on the screen, it should be loaded instantly without clicking.
my faders and knobs in minilab don't work with analog lab, but they work in FL STUDIO - what can be the problem? I really need to be able to control analog lab, it should be mapping automatically, as you said. Can anyone help, please?
the minilab 3 is most likely not automatically recognized by Analog Lab (it is supposed to connect automatically but the software is not the most intuitive and this "tutorial" is no help -_- ) to fix it go to analog lab and in the top right there is a settings button, click it, then go to midi, pull down the first tab and select minilab 3

my 8 knobs and 4 faders are NOT Linked to my soundshaping tools in analog lab what should i do?
After you open Analog Lab in your daw click on the settings cog in the top right near "back" then go to the "midi" tab and under Midi Controller select "Minilab 3" and should be good after that

You need the latest version and make sure just midi mode is checked.

You dont show anything for beginners. Ohhhhh you can play cords.... you dont show how to add layers like drums, bass ect... im trying to get into this, bought analog pro and yet cant find anything how to set it up. Thanks for nothing
