I think older people like us are not as invisible as people would have us believe. People become more real as they get older. Also, women like you pave the way for younger women. You show them that life can be fun as we age. Your enthusiasm for life is contagious and you look so fab in your clothes that you inspire women of all ages with your fashion choices. Only just catching up
My dad is in late stage dementia ….it’s the most utterly heartbreaking disease for the whole family . My poor dad my heart breaks.

Sorry to hear about Mutti . I cared for my mother in law who had dementia for 5 years . I know it’s challenging but I found help and support out there through specialised day centres and carers . I would encourage anyone who is going through the same experience to look at what is available via The Alzheimers Society and Age Concern . Jo your vlogs are a breath of fresh air , humorous and entertaining . Merry Christmas ! 🎄

Dear Jo, we just lost my mom on Nov 12 to dementia and I wanted to send love and a hug to you from across the pond. It’s very hard to lose your mom and dementia is hard on everyone-hope you have happy holidays . I’m 62 and I know what u mean about feeling your age! Can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!

Sorry to hear about Mutti, my mother also had dementia and the one thing that always cheered her up were my dogs so I'm sure you bringing Myrtle to see her gives her a smile. If you ever do volunteer work consider doing it with Myrtle I did it with my dogs for a few years and its wonderful to see how people in homes light up when the dogs come in. Anyway happy holiday days and a wonderful 2024 to you and all that participate in your videos to bring a smile to our faces 🎄😃
I agree. There is something about dogs that excite people with Dementia. My mom loved seeing my dogs.

Dementia is tough, I watched my mum withdraw from the world, but she was still my mum and would always comment on my clothes and show her love for me.

My mom died ten years ago from Dementia. I was 58 when she passed. I spent 6+ years with her on her dementia journey. It wasn’t easy but it was a privilege to be there with her. I wish you much strength as you travel this road with Mutti.

This gives you the freedom you deserve. I went onto the bbc see to hear you for the first time. Your right age is just a number…. I have a special needs daughter. I take her and her friends everywhere and love they want to be with me. Let’s pray that the world has more peace. Disability come in all shapes and sizes. Your right Christmas is just a day!
