    Jonathan, can you do a review on the Nik - Jungleman - Lodge live hands where AQ comes up in 2 different hands for Jungle and there's a lot of disrespect going on? I would like to see some other poker influencers discuss this set of hands to remind people to be respectful at the table. Jungle, Nik, Doug, and other table members were all out of line. Nik calling Jungle his Bit.. twice, Jungle knocking chips over, Doug asking what a different player had in a previous hand from the live stream studio, and the whole table yelling about nothing while 2 players are having a high stakes leveling war. It was a very sad moment for live streamed poker in my eyes.

    Cant beat the other regs if you never bluff. If you never bluff, you don't get called when you have it. Unless it's a setup preflop. But that evens out.

    A question that I haven’t seen really anyone talk about even though I assume it’s pretty straightforward is when your 3 bet bluff gets called, how do you proceed post flop? Do you keep up the aggression more often or just kinda give up? Obviously it’s different on certain boards and if you hit something or not but I was just curious on some general insight

    • @grantchristopher170
      @grantchristopher170 Рік тому

      As you point out, it depends on the board. Specifically, how does it interact with your opponent's calling range. Their range is capped since they didn't 4-bet you, so you can discount AA or KK, but you can expect a decent amount of suited broadway cards and good pairs. When the board is all low cards, you can continue as a bluff as neither player should interact much with that board and you have all the better pairs. But you need to proceed more cautiously on boards that contain face cards, especially multiple of them, as your opponent is much more likely to hit that board with pairs, two pairs, and straight draws.

    I live in a state that doesn't have online real money poker so is it even possible for me to play any online real money games? I live in KY by the way. I've always been good at poker and think I could do well playing for real money but there isn't any options available it seems. I do have a couple small games I can play on the weekend that is a $20 but in and the other is a $60 buy in on Fridays and Saturdays. I guess I can play those games but I would love to play online for real money. Small stakes starting out and see how it goes.

    Hi Jonathon, big fan and loving the cash game master class. I have a question/suggestion for your next video..💡💡 if you had 20-30 minutes every morning to study poker what would you include in it?.. 💡💡Every morning (bar weekends & travel) for the last 5 months I have been studying one lesson of your cash game master class. I am thinking of adding - review one old hand in equilab/flopzilla and post to a forum.. I am seeing improvements not only in cash games but in MTTs as well because I am thinking each situation out.

    If you open 5% of hands 9 handed you would crush fix GTO. I’m not saying that being a NIT is a winning strategy because it’s very easy to counter attack but you are going to crush a guy who play perfect GTO with no adjustments. There is no way GTO can recover if 3bet and 4bet a polarized range against a NIT. GTO is not an unexploited strategy. Even Doug Polk (GTO wizzard) fold to Helmuth the 2nd nut straight because he had to adjust. Run the simulation a nit range against a fix GTO range and make the sum of the EV, put that in a solver and found out the answer. Don’t make the mistake of letting the GTO player adjust, if you do that adjust GTO would crush the NIT, no doubt about it

    • @vallacespoker7902
      @vallacespoker7902 Рік тому

      Doesn’t matter if someone’s is a bit and opens a hand … it matters how the board texture interacts with your range … when you run a sim your gonna have your range against the nits perceived range .. it gives you the best strategy to reach equilibrium… being that the players nitty means he is deviating from gto so he is making blunders is which where gto makes the money in the long run .. I don’t want to debate but would like for you to be aware … if a board texture favors strongly the range of the nit do you think a solver tells you to call or to bluff .. no it is an obvious fold … if it is a spot that is a call it’s because your range has enough equity to continue or a spot for a bluff on a future street … you have to learn what the solvers do and why they are doing it … no one has to blindly follow gto .. if your playing against a calling station and you know your opponent will call a jam and you have the nuts your exploit would be a jam .. solver might suggest three sizes like 3366or 125 percent … wish you luck in your journey keep studying and learning

    • @cpasa798
      @cpasa798 Рік тому

      @@vallacespoker7902 people constantly answer the question how GTO makes money against a NIT by saying how to exploit a NIT, it’s mind blowing. GTO only raises, 3bets or 4bets the low part of its range so the high part of the range gets paid. If the NIT is going to get paid by the GTO bluffcatchers, GTO is going to get crush because there is not any bluff to catch, there is no way around that. Equilibrium is super sensitive, when you break it the solver would go all the way exploitative. GTO can make money against a lose player because GTO will play its range much better but it has no defense against a 5%VPIP. Poker is not a linear game, you make the most money by making the better hand, bluff are just to get paid when you make the best hand, otherwise people always fold, but if the calling frequency is fix like a fix GTO you are getting paid without the need of bluffing

    JL is just way to unrealistic on some of this. A lot of people who are "Just starting out" have full time jobs. They cant show up every day at 11:50am to play until 12am. For someone working a full time job. If you can find a way to log 10-20 hours a week that's a pretty decent volume. Not everyone can have a bankroll to be able to play in all the games. If you're just starting out you probably cant afford to play a 5/10 or a 10/20 game. If the 1/2 is full maybe a 1/3 would work. But if you don't have 15-20k in your bank you should probably stay away from anything higher than that. Also especially in live 1/2 its really easy to be down 3 buy-in's fairly quick. I have been in games where people would go all in vs my set or top 2 with nothing but a draw and hit it every time. It happens. I think my fastest day I was down 3 bullets in less than an hour and a half because I got it in good all 3 times and got sucked out on. The variance monster can eat you alive sometimes. Someone asked if there is a rule about playing vs regs or not. There is a rule about that. Know your opponents. If they are better than you don't play against them. So if you're on a table with 3 really good regs. And there are 4 fish. Get as much money as you can from the fish. If they leave and they eventually will if you and the other regs are good. Get up and leave with them. Don't play against the good regs. It will be like squeezing blood from a stone. Sure you might get lucky and win some big pots. But the opposite can also happen. Do you really want to play in a game where you're edge isn't that big? Pick your spots and you can win a lot at poker.

      Yah that or you get priced into draws that inevitably miss and people go heavy with any piece of it. Do that two or three times and miss each one be prepares to top up lol. Only a matter of volume though before better pre flop selection and positioning wins out. Hold the course. Gotta be comfortable getting it in with top pair or mid pair against low stakes players at times..

    So if someone reraises me and they would only do that if they have a really good hand then depending on the bet and my hand I may fold. That's one thing I've thought about especially with tournament players is its probably best to not go all in unless you have the nuts or a great hand. If someone entered a tournament and their first hand was pocket Aces and someone goes all-in then it can always be a good strategy to just fold. There's a video on UA-cam where a guy folds pocket Aces and the hand played out with a guy getting quads. I have always or usually played against weak competition and have always done very well. Then you have the virtual currency games and who cares about fake money,I mean some people will just call or go all in just for the hell of it. I think people should just play their own style all while implementing all the knowledge about the game thats out there in these type of videos and watching the pro's play. I'm a big limper even if I have a strong hand cause I like to trap players. Trying to see the flop for free or cheaply is always my goal. If I have nothing then I'll try to see the turn and river for as low value as possible unless I'm trying to pull a bluff. I'm probably a little too tight but I dont really play anyone that punishes me for it for instance someone that will bluff alot of times. I love playing poker and am a viper. Just waiting to strike when the time is right and being patient.
