@@TeethOfDead I mean, the "spirit of '69" original skins with braces and ladders were not a part of the white power / racist skinheads. It was an East-End London working-class reaction to the "swinging-60s" London and was more like a combination of 50s English Mod culture and Jamaican Rude Boy. At the time it was more about working-class pride, not white pride. That really didn't emerge until much later in the late 80s/early 90s (although I will note that though most were apolitical and it wasn't a white pride movement, a lot at the time were not overly fond of South Asian people, as "paki-bashing" was a somewhat common occurrence - but that was an attitude not exclusive to the skins of that time but alot of the working-class at that time). I just kinda wanted to throw this out there because there is often a knee-jerk reaction associated with skins... and I've met a number of young and old skins who try to reclaim the original spirit of what it was suppose to be about and would probably brawl with racist skinsheads
As being 43 now and a 90’s ska musician, it’s hilarious to see someone skanking on a TV show. Ah, the old glory days……where are they now lol? The Specials FOR LIFE!!!!!!!

Ska-punk (or third wave ska, which it looks like Jake is a fan of) came late, around the 80's/90's. But early ska predates and evolved into reggae. Check out bands like Toots and the Maytals: ua-cam.com/video/yjg6flu3zuc/v-deo.html
There's a underground scene in Socal called Skacore but majority if bands are mexican / latinos, if you like the mix of Mariachi-Ska-Hardcore Punk. But that's not to forget Leftover Crack and Choking Victim.

yes!
All action replaced with ska-kwandoe as well. The checkered duty belt worn constantly
Ska came before Reggae
That is really hard to say. Because ska and reggae both took form in rocksteady

I don't remember getting a role on Brooklyn 99?
One of my favorite scenes from the whole show. I love ska
Yer dead right, mate.
I hate the show but love ska. One of my friends recommended this scene to me.

I miss Brooklyn 99s jump cuts. Why'd they stop them?
Because it's been 8 seasons, the cuts would be just parts of previous episodes
