As a woman with adhd who has gone on her own research journey to settle adhd, i cant tell you how on point this guy is. I havent tried amino acids, but i might consider it because stimulants make me anxious. It kicks my brain into overdrive. Plus, women have hormones that like to mess with us extra just because we are biologically women. Loved listening to this guy speak about his experiences.
Amino acids work very well for adhd L Theanine is brilliant in mornings too for focus and sustaining energy without a crash .. I’m trying Get Dopa this week
Very important point to add. Make sure you try vitamin D3 first...(whether you are already taking stimulants)if you are getting afternoon crashes and nodding off at weekends as it could simply be down to supplementing Vitamin D to help boost energy levels and improve muscle function. Vitamin D helps muscles work efficiently by enhancing the activity of mitochondria, which are the cell's batteries.
I have a hard time taking this company founder’s claims seriously when he is selling a product to solve the problem he’s discussing. First-line ADHD medications are the most effective psychiatric medications, but they still don’t work for everyone. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t good.
Elvanse seriously worsened my sleeping issues. As a result I'm aging rapidly and have peak cortisol levels further damaging my health. Thank you for presenting a different approach.
Bollocks. Adhd increases cortisol. I find stimulants profoundly relaxing to the point that they cure insomnia for me, and the first time I ever had a good night's sleep was when I first fell asleep on a full dose of lisdexamphetamine.
I agree, I have just been diagnosed with ADHD at age 55 and have been titrated on ADHD medication for just over 6 weeks. I cannot tell you how it has turned my life around. I'm getting a full nights sleep with no crash in the day, I am more productive, less anxious, less depressive rumination, I'm finally the person I always wanted to be.
Yup. Same over here. Sometimes a formal education DOES have some advantages... Anyway, I just discovered Ashwaghanda Root as a cortisol adaptogen as a supplement and it really helps to balance out some of the Medikinet side effects.
It's highly individual how much noradrenalin and other neurotransmitters your brain produces because brain chemistry is influenced by thousands of genes, diet, physical activity, sleep cycle, emotions and many other factors we don't understand fully yet. Even ADHD alone is a spectrum with very different symptoms that can change over time. Good for you if this works for you well, but there are millions of ADHD people for which it doesn't work at all or has serious side effects. For some people ADHD alone doesn't increase cortisol but stimulants do.
Glad that it works for some but for me, I am still searching. Lisdex just makes me faster at being scattered and all over the place. Others notice and comment that I have "taken my meds" because I talk, walk, type, everything at warp speed so I am not certain this is the medication for me. I have heard others say they take their meds and their mind is quiet, they focus and are productive. I haven't hit that magical place yet. I have experienced the moody aggressive nature with another med so perhaps the third time is the charm. If a natural supplement might help to smoothe out the extreme highs and speed I'm willing to give it a try. My whole life has been negatively impacted by ADHD, I got my diagnosis at 50 and still have a lot of anger that I was made to feel incompetent, was told I was depressed and that was not it at all. I, like many other hard working, talented people have suffered greatly and have been robbed because of misdiagnosis.
you can try to put together something like it dor the time being. After taking the test I was recommended to take the confidence, and I should be able to with what's available in my country...
Interesting: I was posting a way for you to build your own supplement formulation from cheap OTC products - but the YT comment scrubber deletes it every single time. I'm building my own "Soft Ritalin" from 3 cheap non-prescription products and this stuff helps me a lot...
1/4: I was going to say: “well just buy from a different brand” … until I realized that you live in DK where it IS in fact quite impossible to get stuff at a reasonable price that costs next to nothing elsewhere in the world. There is good news, however: It’s quite easy to re-create non-prescription formulas from OTC products.
2/4: Sometimes it is cumbersome but with a little effort, you can get 95% without breaking the bank: Take Amen Clinics' “S0ft R1tal1n” (plant-based) for instance - with L-Theanin from a certain online D-M0rr1s pharmacy in NL and 2 or 3 formulations from “dm” drugstores in Germany ...
I see a lot of comments regarding lack of availability outside North America. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 20 (now 22), initially I was started on Vyvanse. After reaching the maximum adult dose of 90mg per day, I had many of the side effects mentioned in this video. I left it behind to experiment with nootropics, and I can say that it is worth your time and energy to research and seek options regardless of the brand.
Also, i think its a big pharma thing in the US just to "bandaid" the issue with medication. Agreed, its not that its bad to take medications its just that its prescribed too much and too often. The root problem could be as simple as having more vitamins, minerals, proteins, etc in your diet.
I wouldn't have qualified going out into the woods with a tent and hammock, maybe a cooker, as impulsive so much as adventurous, particularly if it was something you did multiple times...though it does sound wonderfully adventurous.
Scattered. Isnt that ADHD 101? He jumps around a lot, and not a whole lot on noortropics in detail. Best to research supplements, and mineral depletion and symptoms. We lack understanding if lacking minerals and vitamins is a major factor. Do Rx displace healthy fats and healthy options for treatment?
I’m Sooo interested in this Video😊.. but oh How my ADHD Brain cannot STOP all the Chatter going on to even pay Attention in order to get the Gist of what this Brilliant Man is speaking about‼️😩 Help Me 😮.. I’m 9 months🤰.. non medicated and suspecting that I might be experiencing narcolepsy.. How can I stay on track? Is Stasis Safe for pregnancy or Beast feeding?
Honestly, this dude just made a huge word salad of repeating the same points over and over and not expanding on them, and didn't explain much of anything very well. Appreciate the variety of guests, but this one wasn't for me.
I really enjoyed this podcast, but where was the hilarious part? I am middle aged, was diag w/ asd a couple years ago, but i self diag 11 mo ago w add/adhd - not hyper externally - already get tachycardia w/ a variety of food and suffer w/ gad so i do not want to take the stimulant meds. Curious, can those not on stimulants take his meds for general health benefits?
🌟 Sounds Fantastic! ...if only i were wealthy to afford after exchange to Australian Dollars+ Postage.... How i wish natural helpful supplements were affordable
They don't even ship internationally, only within the US. There should be more information on the sponsorships about where the products advertised are available straight up imo 🤷♀️
@_rhapsodist I don't want to be that guy, I have not taken these supplements nor heard anything of them, until this episode. If they did help in some way, you might be able to see/work/create a way of making more money.

I’m the same ..
Thank you so much for pointing out that our hormones should be considered.

I gave up half way through this advert for something unavailable in the UK by the CEO on the big 'I am'. ..
Unbearable.

When I discovered Thesis, it was a game changer.
Thanks for the talk! Really resonated with me. I too went from being a chef to reading pubmed for a living 😹
Who makes a video for ADDs that’s over an hour long??
It is so frustrating that we cannot buy this in EU.

Ok... breaking it up in chunks. Why YT, WHY???

Sharing in New Zealand.. thanks guys

Quite the pitch. Shame it’s not available in the UK…
..or in the rest of Europe either, which makes me wonder what's the point of having this guy on the podcast? 🤔

As ADHD brains work differently and we can see that in tests your jdea is nice but falling short to the need of patients.
great to listen to his journey
This is great timing for me .. I’m on a 7 month wait list for Vyvance ..
you're not allowed to published video when it's 1 in the night 🤣🤣🤣How will I stop and go to sleep now ???? 🙃😅😁
Just switch to Australian time. You're welcome.
I just set my clock back 4 hours ⏰
Set it back 20 years and you'll be on Queensland time @@pulsey2001
Use it as an excuse to go to bed early and get up early to watch it during breakfast 😅
😂
Citizen heal thyself? Who are the Doctors connected to these products?

Could oppositional defiance be the end result of ongoing unanswered/un-nutured rejection sensitivity dysphoria?
Is it my brain or the points brought up here are so scattered everywhere. I lost track of the flow.
Yes- scattered and kind of boring

For those who can’t get these look at the ingredients u can by them separately. I think there’s more to it than taking supplements though.
My brain is finding it difficult to follow this one. And y'all know why!
Can anyone tell me whether they discussed LTO3?
So which nootropics?

Adderall made me into an ahole too. 😂
Of course
I love this channel when we’re talking to authentic guests. This one feels like an infomercial and I stopped watching …. First time I’ve left early.
Some people have trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep - what about those of us with both?
I don't do melatonin - i don't drink, but it makes me feel drunk and compromised
Pretty much yawn…. This is a product push with very little serious data to dive into.

Yeah $80 a month is crazy..

@@themetalmermaid6313 You can always just look up the ingredients. They won't be anything banned etc.
