The nostalgia I was just child in the 70s, but I remember a lot of those commercials. We had both a Ponderosa and a Bonanza, both are long since closed up, think they went out if business. Still have 7- 11 stores I remember the potato crisp wish they still had those. I miss the way Burger King used to be, they changed the way the flam grill their whoppers and they don't taste flame grilled anymore
0:59--We used to have both Ponderosa and its sister chain, Bonanza, here in Iowa, but both have sadly now disappeared from this area. 4:05--I wish Keebler would bring back Potato Crisps and the other crackers mentioned in this commercial. I haven't seen any of them in ages. 4:35--Cool 7-Up cans! Maybe they could go retro, like Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, and Royal Crown have all done in recent years. 5:43--7-Eleven is another chain that has disappeared in Iowa, but we had them in the 1970's when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure they're still around in some parts of the country. 7:16--I loved C.W. Post! Wish they'd bring it back. Kind of ironic that they discontinued it because it was one of the first granola cereals, and those seem to be pretty popular these days.
yusakug yeah I didn’t even notice it was him at first until the last part of the head and shoulders commercial. This must have been just a couple of years before Cheers. I also saw Candace Cameron (DJ from Full House and now Fuller House, sister of Kirk Cameron from Growing pains) in an 80’s block of commercials for teddy rupskin
Between Chunnnnnky Dinners, SORRY GEORGE, and the great Lemonade Wars of '78, what's the highlight of this video? None of those, it would go to Gino's Face (and the snappy jingle) at 13:23.
Project U.F.O-loved that show..could be considered the"X-Files" of its day Hurrah-kind of the Studio 54 for new wave/punk acts C.W Post-that cereal was murder on your teeth lol NBC Sportsworld-Wow @ that K.O Minute Maid Lemonade Crystals-always helped to cut it with a little extra lemon juice The Courage & The Passion-Don Meredith mustve been breaking the fourth wall in this movie
* Maybe Ricardo Montalban couldn’t take any time off from Fantasy Island. * I do like the 100 percent dialogue from the 70’s Keebler commercials, although “Ohboysees are o-boisterous “ catchphrase is a fond memory. * They still had to get permission to use Chuck Mangione’s song just for a bumper, right? * So is Ted Danson now using H&S on his toupee? * 7Up needs to bring back a throwback can.
From watching all of these old commercials Ford has obviously been the #1 selling car maker, because obviously they had it be(and still are) the car make spent the money on advertising...
One: that 7-up can was so 70s. I've seen that design in the 70s WMAR "2" logo and the Uniforms of the Toronto Blue Jays. What is that text style called? Two: Is it TC Carter or TK Carter?
Ironically or coincidentally, Bob Ridgely, who played the “The Colonel” on Boogie Nights, is shilling for Gino’s that sold the Kentucky Colonel’s Fried Chicken in the 70s. BELIEVE IT OR NOT
He was also the voice of many classic cartoon characters in the 70s and 80s including Tarzan, Flash Gordon, and Thundarr The Barbarian. I'm 99% positive the reason why he was cast in "Boogie Nights" was because he was a friend and colleague of Paul Thomas Anderson's father, Ernie Anderson. Anderson was the primary announcer for ABC in the 70s and 80s (Known for his "The LOVE Boat" promos) and Ridgely was also one of the main announcers for ABC starting in 1985. Maybe the strangest thing of all, both he and Ernie Anderson died of cancer only two days apart in 1997, months before the release of "Boogie Nights".
The entire premise of the Bionic Woman is that she has bionic implants throughout her body that give her super strength and abilities and many episodes deal with her body rejecting these implants, similar to an amputated limb being rejected once reattached. In fact, in the introduction of her character on "The Six Million Dollar Man" she died because of that, but they brought her back and gave her a spin-off series because her character was popular.
God I miss the 70's. All of these commercials bring back memories.

Seeing Ted Danson in the Head and Shoulders commercial is a real treat.
Well done. I was two years old in 1978. My only complaint is that the Colt 45 commercial didn't have Billy Dee Williams in it!
Billy Dee Williams did his first Colt 45 ad in 1986.
Enjoyed watching old news and local commercial footage from the DC/MD/VA (DMV) metro area. 😁
Such s fun video. The 70s commercials are my favorites.

I live less than a mile from a 7-11 store in Providence RI. I'm less than 2 miles from at least 3 others.
2:04 Cordoba! I remember Ricardo Montalbán doing those commercials back in the day! Whoa... Many, many moons ago.
So amazing! More from this era, please? Thanks for uploading these memories!
More from 1978 is on the way
Awesome! Thanks again!
Steve Guttenberg in the last volume, Ted Danson here. All we need is Tom Selleck to pop up in the next one for a Three Men and a Baby reunion!

Oooooh, let's see!
Actor T.K Carter from the movie The Thing in the 7-Up commercial.
13:39 - So, she can make Colt 45 appear out of nowhere...But can she make lemonade appear...IN CANS???
Real Lemonade or Lemon Flavored Juice?
Morgan Brittany from Dallas in the Stroh's commercial.
Such an 80s hottie!
And who was "The Courage and the Passion" intro V/O? The late NBC Burbank/KNBC announcer Peggy Taylor.
"Nothing is overdone" on that Cordoba? Yeesh. Guess they were completely knackered by the designs that would come out a few years later
Crystal Gayle was so beautiful!
T.K. Carter in the 7up commercial. Jane Wyatt from Father's Knows Best in the Minute Maid ad.
Ted Danson in the Head n Shoulders ad.
13:00 Robert Ridgely! The voice of Tarzan Lord Of The Jungle, 1976 cartoon. My total favorite!
Wow, Ted Danson sure was young here. I almost didn't recognize him.
He looks basically the same here as he did in Creepshow and the first season of Cheers
Between Chunnnnnky Dinners, SORRY GEORGE, and the great Lemonade Wars of '78, what's the highlight of this video?
None of those, it would go to Gino's Face (and the snappy jingle) at 13:23.
Highlight for me was seeing Alvy Moore's name in the show's closing credits.
I’m pretty sure the actor in that Gino’s commercial is Bob Ridgely, who played “The Colonel” in Boogie Nights.
Sure is him. Recognized him from other movies as well.
Project U.F.O-loved that show..could be considered the"X-Files" of its day

NBC Sportsworld-Wow @ that K.O

3:05 "Not many people know this ... but I happen to be famous." -Sam Malone :D
Just about everyone mentioned in the Bob Hope special has passed. :(
01FozzyS it’s sad to think about that. TV used to be so much better.
I wonder how old Bob Hope was going to be in that special
75
Wow, Mr. Spock's mom shilling for Minute Maid!
The girl in the PSA ad, she does sound British, but she’s probably just from “Baaston”(Boston) ..
* Maybe Ricardo Montalban couldn’t take any time off from Fantasy Island.

T.K Carter.
I actually miss Sears..

Robert Ridgely was also in Mel Brooks' "High Anxiety," as the guy trying to pick Mel up in the men's room by pretending to be an LAX security agent.
Bionic Rejection? What does that even mean?!
The entire premise of the Bionic Woman is that she has bionic implants throughout her body that give her super strength and abilities and many episodes deal with her body rejecting these implants, similar to an amputated limb being rejected once reattached. 05:46 - Seems like he reminds me of Rusty Griswold (Jason Lively) of European Vacation.
He was only 10 when these aired
Ah, thanks. Forgot to lookup his date of birth.
On #27, she almost sounds either more South African or Queensland Australian
Cordoba one of them weren't so great Chrysler's wet dream! The dumbest ignition systems was the lean burn setup!
"Keep the gangsters out"...oops
