They said Hurricane Beryl was going to go south of here, but it ended up going right over my house. 🏠
This is what I went through. Power is still out the next day, but I have enough connection to post this, for those who are wondering.
UPDATE I had to upload this from a hotel in Waco. Power has been out for several days and I had to get my parents and take them somewhere that had electricity, AC, TV, and internet.
Posted this from Waco. Parents were not doing well, so we came where they storm didn’t. Still no power at my house, or theirs. 😢

Wow, so many Houston folks posting about power still out on FB. Thanks for this video. Better than even the News! Anyways, sorry we weren’t able to get to Texas this summer. We had to go back to Kaz to TCB & get ready to move to Turkmenistan in August. I promise we will go to Texas next summer!

We got residual effect from Beryl yesterday in Saint Louis and it rained all day which caused some flooding.

You live in Houston or waco? Glad your place doesn't have too much damage.do you own or rent? How's can be good if they are maintained properly. Or they can be nightmare..depends. y hope the power comes on soon ..storms like that are scary !!
I live in Spring, which is a northern suburb of Houston, close to the IAH airport. I do own my house. I picked up my parents and we drove 2 hours 45 minutes to Waco because the storm didn’t come here. It got to about 100 with high humidity today and my dad can’t take that. So we came here until the power comes back.

@sharonsimsay7995 I try! Yes, that’s why people didn’t move here until the 1970’s when everyone had AC. It’s impossible to live here without it.

No. We are still in Waco. Both of our houses are still without power.
