At the moment the best of such examples in the female category are Beyonce and Björk and in the male category would be Beck and James Blake. Christina Aquafina is a great singer, but a musician she's not. Nowhere near it. She used to work with Linda Perry and Alicia Keys, two geniuses who wrote some of her best songs. Decelerate was written by Kenya East, a court jester.

She has often stated that multiple times and grew up recording multiple covers of both women.
People need to remember that Christina's album "stripped" broke barriers for young female pop artist to have creative control over thier sound at such a young age when her peers were forced to follow exactly what the label dictated them to do.
Christina did the exact opposite which is why she's sooooo respected by the younger generation of female artist now and that includes Ariana.
Btw Ariana STILL has her tribute video to Christina where she lip syncing to "Ain't no other man" on her UA-cam channel.
