Just read the ANOC from my current Part D folks. My premium is being REDUCED BY FORTY DOLLARS! EEK!!! Percentage coverage of this tier and that tier meds are up, but for a premium to be reduced SO much, there has to be something they're not telling me. Time for the magnifying glass. Just wanted to give others who are learning about this a heads-up.
Yep! Check the formulary to see what isn't covered that used to n
Be covered
@@barbie3139 I am thinking the same thing! Thanks!
Thank Biden for making changes to an industry that screws people on the regular!
My premium went up $11, and I do not take any medication. I am looking for a new D plan.
In the Medicare book, you cannot have more than $2000 in the bank to receive Medicaid
This may help some folks....When I signed up for Medicare the biggest problem I had with being able for them to call me back. My phone was blocking them all!! 833 area code is notorious for being a scam but they all use it. So I had to end up putting them in my contacts especially the SS offices!! It will make life easier for you if your phone is set up like that...
Aaetma gave me $75 every three month for otc drugs. Ihave never taken otc except aleve. All that crap otc will kill us.
I did sign up for a Part D when my husband retired and we were on Medicare A, B and for me a Supplement, and Part D plan, however, a month later I received a letter from the Plan D company stating I did not file on time, and that's not true, as our insurance person did do it on time, so now what do I do???
FYI. I receive Medicare with part A and B. I also receive Tricare for life! Tricare notified me to say that they will cover my prescriptions, most have zero copays! I use Express Scrips!
Thank you to our host Dr Ed. I’ve learned a lot. I confess, I knew very little of this.
I’m going to 65 next month still don’t know what the best medicare should I get can you tell me pls
If you are healthy and want to save money: A, B, D and N
If you have medical issues or desire more coverage with a bigger premium that you can afford: A, B, D and G
@@Gerardo-b9l Hi thank you answer my question and I do have one my birthday is next month turning 65 I can’t decide if I apply now for Medicare my plans is on my full retirement and I have good health benefits from may work. It is okay not to apply yet?
I’m on SSDI, im 61 soon to be 62. At what age am I eligible to draw on my ex spouses record. He is 66.
Masterfully done, again. Thank you for the service you provide. Just like technology; I’m an end user and not a troubleshooter
Thank you!!
I have Tricare for life. At this time I get my prescriptions through that. Do I need a part d Medicare
Just got our Medicare Part D notice from Well scripts and our premiums are going from 50 cents/ month to 0/month in 2025. How can they do this??
Check to see if they increased the deductible or changed the Tiers on your prescriptions. Bad news is almost always in the details.
Nothing is free in life, especially from an insurance company. Just as Advantage plans are 0 premiums, people still have several co-insurances, and deductibles to pay for. Plus they limit your coverage to your immediate area.
I was told because of military and I belong to the VA that I don’t have to have the prescription plan, and in the future if I decide to use the prescription plan, I will not be penalized. Is this true?

My mom is 98 soon to be 99. She has a great advantage plan through the company she retired from. Her doctor bills and hospital bills are always taken care of.
Our complaint is:
The plan offers silver sneakers, dental plan, vision plan. She can’t use any of these perks because of age and health. She does not exercise, she is blind, and she has dentures it’s to bad they don’t give her the unused money back. One issue we have we constantly get calls asking why she does not take advance of these perks I keep telling them she is 98 blind, has dentures, can not go to the gym. Then they want to talk to her. I am saying no I am not waking her up and getting her up just so she can say no thanks. We get several calls a day from these people (third Party) I have told them take our number off the list. I was told they can’t. We just stopped answering the phone.
Your mom is so blessed having you in her life. Your mom's generation had the best possible benefits under Medicare. That obligation to seniors have been watered down over the years, where seniors now have to pay more, so insurance companies can make a bigger profit.
It's very sad to see this happening.
@@threeftr3349😊
They use those "perks" like money for OTC meds and rec center memberships. So not worth it when they limit your doctor. Better off keeping your doctor.

Why do fire fighters in NY marry younger women then have children and the firefighter retires at age with a tax free pension over $100,000 per per year and free healthcare for them and their families for the rest of their lives? Then their children under age 19 collect 50% of their benefit, and you know it’s 50% of their benefit as if they retired at age 67, even though they actually retired at 62 and the firefighters are some of richest people on the planet, do you think that’s right?
That's a lot of money but the cost of living is so much higher. I don't think Fireman in small towns make a fourth of that...most are volunteers...
@@fiftyshadesofpam9470 In many small towns they are volunteers. As for the big cities, it's whatever the city pays through taxes. Being a fireman or firewomen is a dangerous short profession. There can be serious health risk as well, and they run towards the fire to save lives. Often times in many cities, it's the fire department that shows up before the ambulance to help people in need.
They also have injuries from others who want to do harm, just like police officers. Some cities want to make injuring a firemen with severe penalties along what happens when you hurt a police officer. .
When you need help, you will also be grateful when they show up.
I think they are worth every penny a city can give them.
Mostly because they are risking their lives for you on a daily. They can leave their families in a minute saving your life.and their careers are often cut short with cancer due to putting out the fires.

Have company health care with United Health Care. They offer 8 hours a month for a caregiver though another company CARE LINX. I have been trying for 7 months after a heart attack. CARE LINX DOESN'T HAVE ANY CARE GIVERS IN MY AREA. Its October 3 and I basically have 3 months left til December. This is my company's plan. I pay a $50 premium and get nothing from UHC or Care Linx. Should I request a refund from UHC or company I retired from at end of year? I truly needed the help.

Tirzepatide is not yet covered by FDA for weight loss/obstructive sleep apnea. Only semaglutide will be covered for weight loss/cardio in 2025.
Zebound is FDA approved. Go directly through Eli Lily, they sent me other meds I couldn't afford and weren't covered yet but would be perfect for me. They were wonderful to work with and I got them free of charge until the meds stopped working. Good luck.
Does the max $2,000 include the deductible-or is that additional to the $2,000?
Includes deductibles
With the dental money you still had to pay out-of-pocket a lot of money that you don’t have they make it like that so people don’t use it and companies can keep the money

Hey is great did you are mentioning that nobody said that the money they supposed to be for you is on the hands of the reach insurance companies and the reason they don’t use it is because you still has to pay a lot of money with any dental work out of your pocket, so they make it like that on purpose so people don’t use it is not the people don’t want to use it
Also good luck trying to find a dentist who takes whatever advantage dental plan they have. All dental plans are not 100% even for employers insurance, it's extra for the dental, vision plans. Some are better than others.
