    Good point, it will be my second move to start over again. First from Switzerland to Canada 30 years ago. Now turning 69 this year I need to make my last and smartest choice for my remaining live. I lost my wife 16 years ago. I now I have nothing to lose, live is short and you only get 1. I am not afraid to try out Belize. Can't be worst than Canada. lol

      It’s definitely better than Canada in many ways. We made the move a year ago, some things are hard but it’s worth it. Nothing good is totally easy.

      Well at least you are getting away from that very evil Marxist Trudeau. And Canada is far too cold, at least it would be for me. There is something very very wrong with Canada, if they can not find some way to rid themselves of Trudeau. Just how many laws does an evil politician have to break these wicked days, before they are finally arrested and charged with high treason?

Fear will definitely keep you from achievement. You and I are on the same page, my friend. We live in Southwest Florida and are ready to leave. Be seeing you soon.

    My whole outlook on "stuff" changed after I was in an accident that left me in a coma with a 0% chance of survival. That was in '06, which was followed by 13 years of endless hospitalizations & being essentially bed-ridden. I first looked into Belize 12 years ago, & literally thought I'd be moving there to die. Really long story short, health is better now, traveling to Belize at the end of November. The plan now is not to move there to die, but to live.

  • @yosefmacgruber1920
    @yosefmacgruber1920 20 днів тому +2

    I do not have that sense of adventure. I do not want to travel, and I do not want to see the big scary world. I want to go somewhere where they will leave me alone. I am too far Right for even the Republicans perhaps. I am so tired of the rampant corruption and high taxes of has-been corrupt USA. I am currently considering Ecuador. I do not feel that I belong here. Why do I want to be "married" to an unfaithful country that is more like a liar harlot? I want a "divorce". Pick up the pieces and move on, as I have respect for myself that I should not have to live with a metaphoric harlot. The U.S. has utterly failed to live up to her founding principles. If I leave, then I develop the option of Renouncing, even if I do not follow through on that. Else I get a valuable 2nd citizenship. Good to have in these uncertain times. I want to toss all my stuff into a shipping container and get out. Maybe I could purchase my container so that I have plenty of time to unload it later or whenever. What sort of "foundation" would a 40-foot outdoor container in the back, need? Does it need frequent repainting or can it just sit? Why can't I find any videos about people bringing all their stuff in a container and how complicated or simple is it, and what should I expect to have to pay for that?
    Incentives for me to move? Lower costs, maybe I could have a nicer bigger house. I do not need to be on the beach, I do not need need a view, I do not need big windows, but I would like to have more square feet/meters, a nicer climate, and a paved street could be nice, especially if I end up having a car again? A second citizenship unless I renounce? Starting over is too scary, however I just do not have much faith anymore in the has-been corrupt USA. Even when Trump predictably wins, Nomad Capitalist suggests what happens in 4 years? Indeed, a sensible question to ask. Maybe Trump gives me slightly more time to plan my escape?
    I worked during the plan-demic. I knew that the face diapers do not work. Thanksgiving 2020 and Autumn Bible study, indoors and not a face diaper to be seen anywhere. Glad that I am not alone in some of my thoughts about this corruption mess. I never got the jab. Saw no need to trust it. I knew that my God-designed immune system would protect me far better than the Big Pharma Big Brother government quackery bondage. The rabid hatred of the Left of Trump, all the more reason perhaps to just leave. Too much political drama.
    I am not all that handy. Nowhere near as self-reliant as it would be nice to be, probably never will be, so I want to buy a very low-maintenance home. If I do have to have a lawn, hopefully I can afford a reliable gardener so that I do not have to do it myself? I am not an outdoor person. I stay indoors a lot. I like to read a lot. My main social activities tend to be church-related. Almost getting too old. The main person who was supposed to help me load my container, passed away a few years ago. I just don't know how to go forward, but I feel I must somehow? I should not dismiss or ignore God's leadings. But could God give me more specifics?

    • @WhereToNexxt
      @WhereToNexxt  20 днів тому +1

      WOW, thank you for your honesty and cander. For the CONTAINETR... my advice... don't bring one, everything you need you can but wherever you land and it will be cheaper than shipping a container. Most people I know who shipped a container regret it. And getting a container back from Central or South America is a hole different ball game and most who return realize that all their STUFF had a one way ticket. Follow your heart and you won't go wrong. There are lots of people like you and like us who just want to be left alone and live a simple life. Find you way out if it is pulling you down. Keep us posted on your progress and please keep in touch. 🙏🙏😁😁

      What a headache, I need this and that, I had this and that, and just threw it all away for nothing? I would rather just buy a couple of furnishings such as 2 refrigerators, and anything else, it is in my container somewhere. What do you think that my 40-foot container will cost me, especially if I just ship and also purchase the container? Is it complicated or easy to ship a container? Can I just pack it myself, or are they going to insist to itemize or inspect it? What a disaster? How to inspect a full moving container filled with endless books and furniture and junk? When I moved from an apartment to my house, since house was bigger, I just brought everything. Dad drove my rented moving truck twice in one weekend, a few more car trips to finish up.
      Tell me more about people you knew who shipped a container, because it sounds like you are admitting that 30% who shipped, did *NOT* regret it. I am probably in that 30%. No way could I replace all my books and DVDs and what-all, and liquidating everything means throwing valuable stuff away, because Americans will not pay much for somebody else's "junk". They can throw my stuff away after my passing, well unless the Messiah returns before then. Easier to convince me to leave, if I can bring my stuff with me. But thanks for your opinions on all that.
      I much agree with you, that it is a *1-way ticket,* unless I am not fully grasping what you are saying? Once I do it, I figure I likely will never return. Maybe a short visit to the USA, maybe never a visit ever again. Maybe for to take care of something, start my Social Security as I am a few years shy of 62, wedding or funeral. It may not take long, if it was the right decision, before I feel like a stranger or tourist in the country of my birth. I suspect I will pick up some useful Spanish early on, already learning a bit just from all these expat videos that I am binge watching. I have too little money to return, and I would not want to go though all that yet again. And I might as well stick it out for the few years that are needed to secure my 2nd citizenship at least. By then, is there some reason that I would not feel more "homesick" for Ecuador than for the has-been USA? Or is the whole world actually ruined by the evil deep state, trying to make everybody broke, jobless, and homeless? Although the option to return might be useful in an uncertain world, I think that I would be much more likely to Renounce than to return.

    • @WhereToNexxt

      @yosefmacgruber1920 I would downsize if your really thinking about relocating to another country, even in Belize just having a 20 year old vehicle most will think you are rich. Look into FREIGHT FORWARDING companies for shipping your stuff, I didn't use a container so I can't really help you with that. When you leave America you have to leave the American in you there....😁

      I would like to bring my car, but it is probably so old that it does not really matter. I could also give my car to family, I think they would like it.
      Telling an old person to downsize? Stuff I have collected all my life? Have fun with that? Easier to convince me to make the move, if I can bring my stuff. Would much ease my transition.
      Oh, I am willing to change and to learn Spanish, but I will always be a little-bit American even if I later renounce my American citizenship. Surely you are not telling me to throw my photo albums into the trash cart? No way can I fit everything that I want to keep, into just a few suitcases.
      Well then, I might fit right in somewhat, as my car was built in the previous century. It is older than some of my coworkers.
      I do not want to live in the poorest country in the world, but the allure of a much lower cost-of-living and thus hopefully a bigger nicer house, is much of the incentive for me to leave the has-been corrupt unaffordable USA. I presume that Vietnam or The Philippines might be cheaper/poorer than Ecuador, and so I am not choosing the "poorest"? And if I wait until Ecuador is as modern as the country I am leaving, then by then, it will not be affordable anymore to move to?
