Hello Micheal I started my walkway with the cobble stones and my pattern took 80 lbs and then some I got 4 patterns with 3 bags of Pro-line crack resistance concrete. I did my walkway and patio for as little as $200 DIY give a take the weather overall I finished it within 3 weeks and this is my first time doing masonry work and it was fun. Thank you
We did this last Summer and it turned out amazing and was not difficult. I have 4 sons and each was required to bring a friend over.....they took turns hauling bags...pushing wheelbarrows and mixing! They each got lovely parting gifts. Thanks for playing...."This is Heavy!"🤣🤣🤣
this video was right on time for me. I am getting ready to do a patio with a form just like this one, only a bit smaller. I got a lot of great tips from watching this video. Thanks.
Great job. Glad I found your channel. I've looked at several patterns and couldn't decide, but this did it for me. I like the brick-look in the terra cotta color.
@POTUS TRUMP 2020 .MAGA-NRA I'm agreeing with baker. Noxall the area first. Then Sand to level. Tamp it down. Then weed barrier. Those were individual bricks when he was done lifting up the form. All I could think of was WEEDS galore.
If he.completed that in four hours I am very impressed alone with getting a spec of dirt on himself as an more mature gentleman without even an automated mixer something is suspicious.
I suspect the "only took about 4 hours" for the project was minimized similarly to the "only took about 30 seconds" to mix the first bucket of concrete.
I see a couple issues with this. You need to throw gravel or sand and level of before you mold because those stamping molds obviously form gaps between the “bricks”. Unless you gravel them they will be loose and come off easy or break since you can’t hold to just mud underneath . Also weeds (which you still had growing under before you started will be growing all from winthjng the concrete.
Great looking walkway, but for areas with severe freeze/thaw cycles...potential -5 to 105F....how deep does one need to go with gravel under the concrete?
Hi Michael, thanks for your outstanding video. I’m looking for the mixing bucket and forms you used and I can’t find them at the usual places. Where did you get them?
Because he used the right amount of water and he only mixed about 40lbs to 50lbs in that small drum and did everyone notice how pasty the concrete was. Moreover, it looked liked colored cement
We did this last summer and it was not difficult at all. Just get some youngsters to haul those bags! He didn't show filling gaps.....we used that sand u sweep in and water in and it hardens.
Hey Michael I watch your video each time just to remind me how simple this job is because my mother would like me to redo her walkway but she wants sand can you tell me what kind of sand that is good to put in the joints.
Hello👋🙋♂️ there... Amazing and very interesting video🎥.. Super like👌👌👌 project. Thanks for sharing very helpful Do keep posting Warm regards and best👍💯 wishes The UnknownManCub 👍😎👨🏭
I believe it's currently not available there. So I put the name and where you can get it, 2 comments before yours, under paul karkutt 3 months ago. It keeps hiding when I try to put the comment but that one appears to be visible if you still wanted the info.
and so you'll know I'm just being helpful, not slick. When you click the videos link and look at the addresss bar url, it says the name of the item there.
Can this method be used for driveway widening? I checked your website but it is under construction. I’m very motivated to try your method. Where to buy the walkmaker and cement mixer?
Raj Mann Polymer sand seals the gaps up to half an inch. Pour and sweep into gaps then spray with water to activate the sealer. There are videos on UA-cam on how to use it. About $22 for a 40 lb bucket at Home Depot.
Wait, you mean 80 lb bag for just one mold? I thought an 80 lb bag would at least fill 3-4 molds. That seems unbelievable to me. Did I misunderstand something?
at 9bucks a bag for 60 lbs & 1+ bag per form i find it impossible to rationalize 75 bucks i see 14 lg form areas, is there sand in the joints? or is dirt just going to pile up in the joints? i like to ask q b4 i do
Is there a requirement for any base to be used on the bottom of the pour and do you fill in the cracks between the “bricks” with sand or any other material? Thanks in advance.
After the walk has dried, you can add sand for aesthetic reasons, but you can also get polymeric sand and lock the sidewalk joints. You can get this kind of sand from the Amazon or big box stores. Here are examples: amzn.to/38kAkHg & low.es/2LiyprM I have no experience with this particular product/brand, it's just for research. Thanks for watching!
Here are a couple of suppliers. I don't know anything about these websites: bit.ly/302tphZ bit.ly/2Oj8z8E As of 7/12/2020, they are out of stock on Amazon: amzn.to/302lqBF
My god ... I just can't believe this old guy did this ... look at him struggle with the useless "mixer" ... oh my god. Where they cut it out, I bet he had some younger workers do the job. :)
I bet the guys who really does the work isn’t happy he don’t give them any credit! 4hrs to do all that work with one man at his age and with white pants and not hardly a stain on him! 😂.. don’t have to lie to make a video
MICHEAL I WILL TELL MY HUSBAND, AND SON ABOUT THIS IDEA, CONCERNING OUR SIDE WALKWAY
WITH MUCH NEEDED HELP. THANK YOU.
I love ole pop's white tennies while working with dirt.

Love it! We did our entire back patio with this form and used a powdered tint from a brick manufacturer, in the terracotta shade.
How is your patio holding up and how did you prepare the ground? Have and weeds sprouted up?
How is it holding up or did it start to shift and move
'this didn't turn out to be as easy as I thought...' my sentiments exactly. Difficult but so rewarding. Thanks for sharing!

I love you Michael. This is the best idea I ever saw.
OMG! $75.00???!! I thought it would cost a lot more! Just gorgeous! Thank you so much for a great instructional video!

😂 who else is watching this guy at midnight! Michael is a hoot
Im.watching at 4am 2 years later
You gotta love this guy! Great attitude and the results were great too.
That was an amazing project! Thank you, Michael!
I would level then use some form of a base and the put weed fabric and then pour cement and then finish with polymeric sand to seal the gaps.

You did a great job. As we say in French, it’s with the old pans that we make a better soup. Don’t get me wrong!
Please send the link where to but the molds, the concrete mix barrel. Thank you so much
Great job. Glad I found your channel. I've looked at several patterns and couldn't decide, but this did it for me. I like the brick-look in the terra cotta color.
Wow, do you have to put some kind of mortar or filler in between the bricks?
May I know The name of that plastic bucket that you use to mix the concrete ? I want to buy like that . And where to buy it ?
Great job you done good I’m so proud I wish I could do that I’m 75 and I’ve got a back and a half that hurts
Shouldn’t you put gravel or sand underneath for drainage? Also a weed barrier?
@POTUS TRUMP 2020 .MAGA-NRA I'm agreeing with baker. Noxall the area first. Then Sand to level. Tamp it down. Then weed barrier. Those were individual bricks when he was done lifting up the form. All I could think of was WEEDS galore.
@POTUS TRUMP 2020 .MAGA-NRA Are you being sarcastic?
I love it.... White pants and shoes, and not a bit of dirt......lmao
Lol...right?!!!

Thanks for a very easy to follow video Loved the mixer where can I get it?
Amazing that you didn't get those white pants dirty!
New subscriber & the walk way turned out beautiful. I am looking into buying a form & making a walk way as well . Thank you 😊
I suspect the "only took about 4 hours" for the project was minimized similarly to the "only took about 30 seconds" to mix the first bucket of concrete.
I noticed that the footage skipped ahead 😂
the best video on youtube, well explained
Wow...that was awesome. Great job! Can't wait to try it.

need to add paver sand to the spaces, and the outside should have some paver supports as well. it all depends on how far you really care to go
Great looking walkway, but for areas with severe freeze/thaw cycles...potential -5 to 105F....how deep does one need to go with gravel under the concrete?
Michael it would look great with sand as grout.
Amazing! This would take me weeks!
Absolutely beautiful great job!
"It only took 4 hours out of my life." When you know you're getting higher up in years.
That part was hilarious
White pants? Maybe not the best choice with red concrete.
Job looks great though
Poor man is huffing and puffing 😂 he needs some assistants
Nice project where did you bought the molding
Wow I love it it looks tedious but worth it.
Hi Michael, thanks for your outstanding video. I’m looking for the mixing bucket and forms you used and I can’t find them at the usual places. Where did you get them?
Thanks for watching and for the kind words! You can find them on Amazon amzn.to/4cKkwyg

This looks nice. I have an area that needs this.
We did this last summer and it was not difficult at all. Just get some youngsters to haul those bags! He didn't show filling gaps.....we used that sand u sweep in and water in and it hardens.
That's an excellent idea. Good job.

I was freaking out, white pant and sneakers.

Hey Michael I watch your video each time just to remind me how simple this job is because my mother would like me to redo her walkway but she wants sand can you tell me what kind of sand that is good to put in the joints.

What about crushed rock and sand underneath it looks great but won't last
what would you dont have room for the last one? You would cut the form or something?
Can this method be used for driveway widening? I checked your website but it is under construction. I’m very motivated to try your method. Where to buy the walkmaker and cement mixer?
Beautiful walk way.

Where they cut it out, I bet he had some younger workers do the job. :)
Hope you trained young one like you
Thanks...

One problem. Water can get between the cracks that eventually erodes the underside soil which is why brick stamping is preferred for longer life.
Do sand base should resolve this issue I believe.
