- 2000 Cagiva Raptor review / test ride. Rare classic motorcycles for sale. Used motorbikes for sale.
This bike might be a one of a kind. I can’t see anyone else painting a bike this colour!!!
This colour scheme is straight from the 80’s. A special time when fashion was to look as stupid as possible. Me included. I had a perm back then 😳🤭.
The performance however is something completely different. This bike can easily hold its own now. 23 years after it rolled out of the factory it’s still got more than enough power to get you into trouble.
Join me for a walk around this unique bike and then stay for the test ride. Don’t forget the facts, figures, specs are at the end (if you’re interested)
This bike is currently for sale with @in2moto480 in Warrington, Cheshire. Here’s the link

A big thanks to Oxford motorcycle clothing and accessories who most definitely are keeping me dry and warm during these cold winter days. They have some quality clothing that is priced really well. If you need something here’s a link

Glad I came across your post,, I'm looking at a cagiva raptor 650 ,,1200s bandit gone ,, and want something else,,lighter not worried about the speed ,, I've an K6GSXR 1000 ,,liked the review,,☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland 😁
Great review, future classic deffo, love the arrow shaped speedo so you can point it where you desire it to go !!
I'd have to have it re sprayed to factory and be happy to have an investment as well as a great bike
Best regards Shaun
Thanks Shaun. A re spray is a must. I couldn’t live with those colours.
I don´t think this is as future classic, but it might be. It´s such an underrated bike. It´s basically Monster S4R performance wise and a lot cheaper to maintain. The design is kind of questionable, I would like it to be more like Monster and less like alien insect. Seat is weird, you basically need to sit at the tank not to slide towards it and it needs wide straight handlebars to put more weight towards the front. I put new progressive springs in the fork, cause it sagged over time, Aprilia Tuono rear shock, some lift plates for rear, open exhaust and a power commander and it´s really scary fast or better put, the acceleration is scary. It goes about 240- 250kmh, but it´s really made for short trips on twisty roads. Leg position is very superbike-esque and you also need to press the tank with your knees if you don´t want your jibblets...Tank grips help with that. What I love the most about it is that it´s completely visceral machine, no driver aids and it does have power to make you regret you life choices, while completely manageable if you´re not a fool, but it takes some strong will.
Btw in the video he keeps talking about 80´s style, but this bike never left factory looking like this, it´s a custom paint job.
When I say 80’s it’s all about the paint job. It’s very much like the colour of everyone’s shell suit in the late 80’s.
@@GillyBikes you're right :) I just wanted to point out it is not original
Most definitely not original. The fact someone had that done to it though is funny. Don’t know what they were thinking.
its beautiful
You like the colour scheme?
Essentially a Suzuki TL1000 without the rotary rear damper
I believe so. What do you think of the paint job?
It's actually not so simple. With this partnership Cagiva got the Suzuki V-twin, while Suzuki got the Ducati monster/Cagiva design for the SV650 line. This design is Cagiva (Ducati)
Switch your indicators off 😂
No. I like turning 🤗
It looks nothing like an 80's bike, bit nasty that, yes colour aint good but the bike is sound.
My 80’s reference was really to the colour scheme. Very much like the shell suits of the time. Very loud colours that shouldn’t go together.
It's not an 80s bike and the paint is someone's idea of custom which is terrible!
It just looks like an 80’s bike with the shocking paint job.
