I am using hot wax which is the best type of depilatory wax to use on sensitive areas of the body such as under arm, bikini, eyebrow etc.
The common question I get is where can you get the wax...It is sold by a Company called Jax Wax and the range is Adam and Eve.

I trained in NZ, and was taught to apply hot wax against the hair growth (so the hair stands up in the wax), and then remove against. Strip wax in applied with the hair growth, and removed against. I haven't seen your method of hot wax removal before.. going with the hair direction. Plus we were taught to always use a cold compress while hot waxing, to reduce heat in the skin aiding in client comfort.

*I ordered this product after my 1st one quit after using for 10 yrs! The original was half the price and seemed to do a better job but they no longer have that one available. Not too impressed as far as upgrade...but still works great to remove hair. Most people think this is painful but I don't think so. Don't have to use that often and beats shaving any day of the week! Just wish they still had the original!*

This is an interesting topic. I have noticed over the past few years that you hot wax method is also being taught here in some colleges. It sounds logical to me that the hair will stand up n the wax. We have tested this in the salon and found "in the same direction" still works better however this doesn't mean that against the direction is wrong. There are always a few different ways to do anything. Most training here is still teach the "old" way, with the direction, but I will do some more research on it and I invite any other comments.

Sorry Verushcka, I only replied to half your comment. With the cold compress. In the case of someone who is super sensitive we may need to use a cold compress, but under normal circumstances the wax should be at a temperature that it is not going to cause ongoing heat in the skin. Normally a little pressure after the wax has been removed is all that is needed, but again this is only one way of doing it.

Hi 971Cici, we now use the single dip method for hygiene reasons. Once you have applied the wax to the skin you must dispose of the spatula and use a new one for the next lot of wax. Depending on how skilled you are you will usually use between 4 and 6 spatulas for 2 underarm waxes. Most Health Departments now ban multiple dipping. Single dip is safer and the spatulas if you buy them in bulk are very cheap. Karen

Depending on where you are in the world, the training requirement varies greatly.
In some countries you don’t need to have any qualifications and others you need to attend college
In any case it not advisable to attempt any beauty procedures without appropriate level of training

The reason why there were so many hairs left over is because you applied the wax with the direction of growth. Hot wax is applied against the hair growth and removed against the hair growth. Applying in a figure 8 motion will ensure all the hair is trapped within the wax. You should never need to reapply the entire lot plus tweeze if your application from the beginning is correct! Poor girl!
I get under my arms done all the time. And I promise you it is not sore. If you are worried about it being sore. Take 2 painkillers about 1/5 hours before your Waxing. It's over and done with before you know it.

The hair stays away for about. 4 or 5 weeks. And when you get under your arms done the next time . The hair grows in nice and fine.

Lol, I've had this done twice since I first commented on this video. I went to European Wax Center. They did a great job. It wasn't bad at all. I would actually do the underarms, before my eyebrows. At my last visit I also had my legs waxed. Now that...hurt!

That wax looks marvelous! I just tried to do my underarm w/Gigi hard wax, and everything is messy around me :-( not mentioning the was that got stuck in my armpit, hair, bed, carpet, etc. I was looking for the Lust, looks like they don't sell in the US :-(

why did you when back and doble wax her, all aver again in de same spot you had already wax? from what I have heard, you are not supposed to wax an area no more then ones. because if you over wax it becomes more painful and it can also leed to bruce and ripe of the skin.

It can be found in Australia, the UK and the US...It is made by a company called Jax Wax.It should be heated in a wax heater but if you are doing it yourself at home you can heat it up in a microwave or put the container of wax in a pot of hot water...For best results, use a wax heater because the wax needs to be at the correct consistency to work properly and it takes time to get it there...Be careful if you heat wax wax in the microwave because some waxes have magnesium in them and it can cause problems. ...Karen

Is this a soft wax or just a wax
How long would you say the hair has to be at a minimum because my underarms do get quite hot when I haven't shaved and itchy (I'm not going by how many day's worth of growth because everyone's hair grows at slightly different rates)

When you get under your arms waxed. It lasts for about 4 or 5 weeks.

Some beauty therapist were re-using wax for a while to save money…It is not something I would do…From a purely economic viewpoint, wax is not that expensive these days and if you way up the time it takes to heat
the wax to a liquefied state, then strain it, I think the exercise would be self-defeating…More importantly, on a health and safety standpoint, these days I think the health department wouldn’t be too happy about re-using wax.....However, If you are only using it for yourself, I can’t see a problem…Straining wax is a messy job though….Karen

Some people are just born with more hair/follicles than others. I have a lot of coarse hair and used to have 3-4 hairs per follicle before I started waxing

Blood droplets are very common until the hair softens a bit. This can happen very quickly with some people, but take much longer for others. Regular waxing usually helps.

my underams are not hairy but they are dark like a medium brown color and I've scrubbed and scrubbed and nothing works I've used baking soda and clorox and lemon and vinegar and alcohol and nth works does anybody have any advice for me
