My favorite race specific workout for the marathon was suggested by Matt Fox. 5 x 3k progression working from steady on the first to marathon pace on the 4th and then 10-15 seconds faster than MP for the last. ❤
Another great and informative marathon guide. Are you planning to do a summary where you could perhaps show a graphic of the different training periods and the key principles driving each, from base building to marathon build to pre-race/taper? I think something like this would just bring it alll together. “See the forest from the trees.” Keep up the great work AHRC!! ❤
