Best AGARTALA Street FOOD Tour I Chicken Bharta with Bangui + Haleem & Fresh Egg Cake + Bhapa Pitha

- We went for a food tour in Agartala to with our fellow food friend Sivangi who is teacher by profession.
In the heart of Agartala lies Swapna Fast Food Center, an old eatery cherished by locals. It is here that we first encountered two quintessential street food delights: Bangui and Pork/Chicken Bhorta. As we entered this unassuming establishment, the unfamiliar yet tantalizing aroma of their signature dishes immediately sparked our curiosity.
Bhorta, typically known as a mashed dish from Bengal, took on a unique and refreshing form here. It was presented as a healthy salad-like dish made by combining tender chunks of boiled pork or chicken with a vibrant mix of coriander leaves, roasted chilies, ginger, onions, and just a dash of salt. It could be paired with either roti or bangui, the latter being a local specialty.
Bangui, a traditional sticky rice dish unique to Tripura, stood out as something truly special. Made with fragrant native rice, ginger, and finely chopped carrots, it is steamed inside lairu leaf cones. The subtle earthiness of the lairu leaves, combined with the warm aroma of ginger and the sweetness of the rice, made it a perfect pairing with the zesty chicken bhorta that was served alongside.
As we took a bite of the pork bhorta wrapped in the thin, soft roti, the flavors harmonized beautifully. The pork was tender and seasoned just right, with the roasted chilies and ginger adding an enjoyable level of heat. Despite its simplicity, the dish was packed with flavor, showcasing the beauty of minimalism in street food.
We then explored more of Agartala’s street food offerings, stopping at various iconic eateries, each known for its own specialty. At Haaji, we sampled bamboo chicken, a flavorful dish where chicken is cooked inside bamboo over a fire, infusing the meat with a delicate, earthy taste.
Our sweet cravings took us to Bholagiri Mithai Shop, where we indulged in kheertua, a luscious dessert made of cottage cheese soaked in rich condensed milk, and nolen gurer rosogolla, a winter-special Bengali sweet known for its deep, caramel-like flavor.
The day continued with a stop at Ranjit Pitha Cart, where we tried some home-style bhapa pitha, soft steamed rice cakes, along with the rich and crispy malpua and the delicately sweet patishapta, a stuffed rice flour crepe.
At Laxmi Bakery, we savored chicken chop, a deep-fried pastry stuffed with a spicy chicken filling, before heading to Giridhari Mistanna Bhandar for fried sondesh, a decadent treat of lightly fried cottage cheese balls coated in khoya.
Next at The Chicken Corner introduced us to prawn fry, crunchy and golden from its breadcrumb coating, and the distinctively flavored gondhoraj chicken pakora, prepared with the zest of the aromatic gondhoraj lime.
Our penultimate stop was Food Hut. It is a small non veg stall run by a couple. Here we had a tasty duck curry.
The final stop was Rahul Fast Food, where we enjoyed their famous haleem, a flavorful, slow-cooked meat and lentil stew with egg cake. Both the dishes were just amazing. Watch till the end for all drooling details.
We in cities like Mumbai live a stressful life...eg: locally train to reach office. This video is a relief. Thanks❤🎉😇🙏🇮🇳
Visit Tripura. Come in winter
I have never heard of this place Agartala and Tripura but thank you for taking us there. People are very nice and humble. Food is very very different but looks very tempting. Would love to try except those cooked with pork as we don't eat pork. Host is a sweet and nice girl🌹 Thank you Anubhav bhai. Regards from Karachi Pakistan.
Please Come to Tripura, U will find great view of nature.
@@shahenshah8861 Thank you Bhai. Allah ny chaha to zarur aaungi 🙏
Welcome brother kabhi v aao..
Khatirdari mei koi shikayat nei rehne denge bhaijaan.take lots of love❤ from 🇮🇳
Tripura used to border Pakistan until 1971.
The sheer harted for the Bengali speaking Pakistan was is so high that they never teach the 1947 Independence map properly to Pakistanis.
Toh App Maat PORK BHARTA maat Khaoo Ap Ana Or Chicken Bharta Or Chicken Curry ..Mutton (kochi Patha) khana
7:07 she clearly mentioned the both name but people see only the first clip and goes mad if you don't have time to watch the full video don't get half knowledge
She already said that tiprasa called it mosdeng . I am tiprasa and this few assholes tiprasa so much oversmart besi sa sijak lawra.
I think u r blind brother
I think u r blind brother
I think u r blind brother
I think u r blind brother
She clearly explained what it is called in Kokborok and what it is called in Bengali. When someone doesn't know your language, they will refer to any food item or object in their own language, the one they are most comfortable with. An English or British person would not go to a shop in Tripura asking for "murgir dim" or "tohan toktoi." They would obviously say, "Give me an egg." Grow up, stop hating, and start loving. There's so much hatred these days. Manipur is in chaos. People don't seem to appreciate peace anymore. During the height of the Manipur conflict, Tripura was cited as an ideal state. Hatred and war won't bring development. Politicians will exploit the situation, creating division and ruling over us. Love each other, stop the hatred, and be united. Ask your local leaders about the potholes on your road or issues like power cuts and lack of running water. I know I'll receive a lot of criticism from educated people for what I've said, but hatred won't change anything. Awareness can be spread without hatred too.
Respect ❤
AGREED WITH EACH WORD YOU HAVE SAID!! MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU ❤

It's nostalgic for me . Both of you refreshed my childhood memories
Made me nostalgic. Reminded me or my days spent in Agartala in 2016-2018.
Our hometown. Thanks for putting our streatfood into limelight.
Where is Tripura's actual cuisine????? I was expecting some real Tripura tribal cuisine.
It seemed like a presentation of Bengal rather than Tripura
The aunty who served them chicken with rooti is mother of one of my friends 😅.
Wow again, all that food looks just so nice I’m sure I could smell it here in the UK 😂
I really wish we could get the same here it’s so good.

I am from agartala. Thanks for covering my hometown. ❤❤
Thank you Anubhav and team for sharing the excellent informative videos of food habits and various dishes ofNorth East states of India 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Agartala Very Good Place & there people is too good ❤ main is Hospitality
It's great to see you in Agartala sir. Sivangi you have done an excellent job. The variety of foods u have shown and especially that halim . It's a great feeling to see you in the video of agartala food. I have a very beautiful smile and voice ❤ Thank you Delhi Food Walks for visiting Agartala Tripura.
Thank you so much 🙂
I may have a bias for Tripura, but DFW - the food and culture of the Bengalis in Tripura is perhaps the richest in the eastern region - just like Lahore and West Punjab retained the best on partition in comparison to East Punjab, the rich culture of Bangladesh migrated to Tripura during partition on this side of the border. DFW, you appeared to relish the Peda, Egg Bun Cake, Mangsho, Haleem. Didnt spot you try the rosogulla and sandesh, Ilish, Gopal Misthan Bhandar for mithai and misthi dahi, or the ghee in Tripura which is arguably the best in the country. The patty at Sudipto bakery is to die-for. You should have stayed in the Forest Rest House in North Tripura, Ambassa, Teliamura, Sonamura, Sabroom to get the best Bengali food. A big thank you for this series on my favourite state. Come again!
So informative video and she is so good 👍
Aap ki host kitna sweet hai, good looking lady with sharp features. Aap ki journey me jitne host north east se aaye hai regardless gender all were very genuine n nature.
Good one again, Anubhav. Gr8 looking food and crazy low prices. By the way, Sivangi looks just like Rosario Dawson, an american actress.......Not kiddin', look it up. Just might move to Agartala now after watching this. 😄
Thank you so much for visiting our city, I watch your videos regularly and love it...
Don't comment faltu cheez . If some one from out side of Tripura has come to explore, than let him or her explore. Don't comment like if you r with tripuri people than it would be more fruitful.. she is trying to cover all food items...of tripura. Watch all the videos before commenting any thing rubbish....
You are completely wrong Rakeshji, I will not dare to comment/contradict on any country/state i do not belong to, you may bet your sweet little ass i will kick it hard if you try to distort anything about India or my native state Tripura. may it be any one. I will honor the guest/visitor but will kick him if he tries to be smart and make fun of my culture/hospitality. (He had no business to bring out Suar choumuhuni for Bhagawan Thakur Choumuhuni(Chowk), if he was just vlogging for food. that too not once but more than once, distinctly putting the poor girl out there in distress...
Nice vlog. Sweet Bengali host. Mouth watering Patishapta & Pitha. I like Patishapta a lot. As a Bengali i am relatable these words " Mishti Mane e Bengali ". Beautiful shape of Kulladh for tea. Awaited for this series....😊
Thank you so much 😊
Every fast food joint is iconic, yeh sab food joints agartala ke har clg students har working class professionals ke weekend go to list hai..

Sorry to say but thats not real tripuri cuisine just Bengali cuisine of the bengalis living there .
Hope to see some authentic local Tripuri cuisine thats underrated and unknown to the entire Indian republic just like the Ladakh series .
Please list some
Wahan Mosodeng Tohan Mosodeng which Bengalis called Bhorta is actually not Bhorta but it's native name is mosodeng which they are trying to alter and erase our Indigenous Twiprasa tribe food and culture and Bangwi(sticky rice) are authentic Twiprasa tribe food other than that what You saw in video is non Twiprasa(Tripuri) food
@@planeflew3516She clearly said in the video its called Mosdeng.
@@planeflew3516 bro that means tripurifood was presented but the naming wasnt right, so you are wrong?
@@foxydeepplays1370 naming was wrong as it should be called in its original native name i.e. mosodeng like idli is called idli not the other way around

You are the Most Humble Food Blogger in India...my fav..
I too liked him till today i saw this clip of his. he showcased his stupidity asking that question about name of the place. he had no business of it. he could have edited it if he was sensible.
After hearing her words she's beautiful and intelligent💞 it's hard to cover the entire Agartala Street food in one video of 35 minutes...she did a good job 👍
Hmm I also find her intelligent.

How did we feel after eating the food from Tripura and then eating the food from Debbarma, brother ❤❤❤
Great to know you visited Agartala. However would have appreciated if you would have covered the authentic shops and the traditional sweet shops
Many authentic and old heritage shops are missed. Kasari patti chop, Gopal mistanna bhandar , battala pulao mangso, sankar hotel, to name a few. The host could have skipped newly opened shops.
