These beautiful, beautiful shadows... Thank you Paul! At the end - the 'imagined' ocean horizon line in the bright phthalo blue... and the depth creating schooner - it lifts the painting in a whole different category! The magic of art: the painting is so much more beautiful, than the photo!
We just returned home from the 1,000 islands and this is the perfect lesson for what I want to paint. Thank you for sharing your wisdom in such a simple and gentle way.
Good morning Paul this is Anna from one of your workshops. I was wondering if you can tell me when your next workshop will be and where do you have a list I can look at I would love to see you again.
Tried to duplicate using the colour on colour and canvas mixing method but my coulours come out smudgey not clear. Years of experience I guess. Looks great when you do it. Thanks for the insights into the future.

You really need a very light touch when dropping the colors so they can mix themselves, and then don't touch
@@Easy-Watercolor I will try. I tend to over fiddle with my canvas.
Paul, did you dry the background sky before you put the colbolt blue over it that needs to be told
Hello Anna, No, the key is to drop the colors on each other while wet so that they will mix themselves, thanks for watching Anna
