    At the end - the 'imagined' ocean horizon line in the bright phthalo blue... and the depth creating schooner - it lifts the painting in a whole different category!
    The magic of art: the painting is so much more beautiful, than the photo!

    Tried to duplicate using the colour on colour and canvas mixing method but my coulours come out smudgey not clear. Years of experience I guess. Looks great when you do it. Thanks for the insights into the future.

      You really need a very light touch when dropping the colors so they can mix themselves, and then don't touch

    Paul, did you dry the background sky before you put the colbolt blue over it that needs to be told

      Hello Anna, No, the key is to drop the colors on each other while wet so that they will mix themselves, thanks for watching Anna
