To me the two of these seemed petrified to cover the song. When you watch Debbie Harry sing the song it's so powerful vocally and Clem Burkes drumming was amazing back in 1979.
nah i hate when men sing famous songs written & sung by great women artists and then totally change the meaning of the song by switching the gender in the lyrics because theyre too afraid to sing from a feminine point of view, even if the woman who wrote it did so intentionally from that point of view. that's how you get monstrosities like "Santa Buddy" or "a big yellow taxi took my old lady away". real kings sing a woman's lyrics as written. the narrator of the song is the one who says she's not a debutante. the song is about her, spoken by her. you can tell the killers did this intentionally because almost every other male singer switches it, but they're cowards
Singer - "let's cover Dreaming by Blondie"
Drummer - "how about we don't"
Ha Ha! Clem channeled Moon for sure. The sustained energy and power Clem had was amazing.
It is an intense drum cover for sure.
amaizing the song, the climax, the sound and the video ... excelent quality! thanks to much to share it!
I think they did this cover of the Blondie song as The Killers Mr Brightside sound very much like Blondie's 1979 hit Dreaming.
Wow so nice and you are so cute
Demasiado hermoso! Nice video, thanks!!! =)
Nice - thanks for sharing!
can I ask what camera did you use it? the quality it's amazing!!
Charming.
Of course they cover this song. Perfect
They did one verse! Whoopy doo!
Is that it?
Hi I was wondering if your going to see the killers tonight in Windsor? and if you are could you please record A Dustland Fairytale?
I think this song is about goal dreaming, not a lullaby dreaming.
Dreaming is such an upbeat song , this is not , not for me 😮
*Yeah... dreaming... yawning 🥱😴 the lack of energy of the original is very far from Clem's signature drums legacy*
To me the two of these seemed petrified to cover the song. When you watch Debbie Harry sing the song it's so powerful vocally and Clem Burkes drumming was amazing back in 1979.
*wrong chords!*
0:25 lol. A male singer should sing, *"I could tell you were no debutante."*

awful cover
