BINTER ATR 72-500 LANDING AND TAKEOFF At Madeira Airport 17.03.2020
Could be just another Landing and takeoff of the Binter Canarias ATR 72-500, but this movement is more than that.
Binter Canarias flies the public service between FNC and PXO, a government-funded route, due to the lack of demand, but very important to link both islands twice a day.
Due to anyone landing in Madeira must be in quarantine for 14 days, and the plane must be maintained in the Canary Islands, Binter decided today to stop the flights from Madeira to Porto Santo without giving a date to return.
in this video you can watch the landing inbound from Porto Santo, and the takeoff to the Canary Islands.
The Aircraft is an ATR 72-500, registration EC-LGF

Wind was very strong and pilots were expecting windshear before touchdown, not the case in the Binter, but that’s why we mad the final a bit higher than normal, landing late ✈️

They are scheduled to be back on the 1st of June, but till there Porto Santo residents only have the ferry boat linking Madeira 😔

Today just 2 flights. From now, just repatriation flights and maybe 1 or 2 flights to the mainland, but it’s better like this, we need to be isolated. 3 corona virus cases here, no one is local, just tourists, better to keep the airport closed✈️✈️
