#Google #Pixel9 #GooglePixel - Наука та технологія
I switched my whole family from iphones to pixels last year. Really happy with the decision. My gf and I travel a lot and the google translate, google lens and circle to search are on a different level; not to mention the customisation and the clipboard, etc - just much more intuitive and smarter. I still use a macbook and i actually don't have any issues with ecosystem, because mac supports google photos, google drive, keepnotes, etc. On top of that, I use a samsung watch 6 classic (i love the rotating bezel) and i wanted to get away from the cheap casio-looking apple watches. Can't wait for the smaller 9 Pro. Finally, there'll be a small phone that has all the high end specs!
Small Pro for the win 🎉. Really love the Pixels
I'm so happy that they're sticking with the smaller size and adding the higher end option in the smaller size. I have the regular pixel 7 and it's definitely too big for me. Every time I puck up my old samsung galaxy s10e it feels so good in my hand and I truly miss it. I shudder at the thought that I currently hold googles smallest phone. I would love to have that nice telephoto lens in a thumb friendly device. Hopefully this trend continues for the next few years so when I'm ready to upgrade I won't have to compromise.
The normal pixel 7 is too big for you? The size difference between the 8 and the 7 is so small it's almost non existent 😂 I wish they'd make a pixel the size of the iPhone xs that was perfect size.
@@-GS-I always notice a difference 😢
I'm switching from pixel 6 to 9 pro max! Honestly didn't even feel the need to upgrade but I could use a big screen hehe
Mannn I remember you way back in the Phonedog days! Keep up the good work!
Been there since the technobuffalo days Jon! :)
Appreciate you!
Same
I was literally just thinking about technobuffalo!
Heh been there since the jon4lakers days
Back in the good days of smartphones
I am excited to see where the Google Pixel lineup is heading. The computational photography in the Pixel camera is one of the most advanced mobile computing breakthroughs in the last decade, and it has moved the entire industry forward and now with Al they are leading.
Nice video Jon, keep up the good work!
All they did was figure out how to get to the $999 price point
Wow good to see jon4lakers still going strong!
Matched specs is a game changer.
A small Pixel 9 Pro would definitely get me to upgrade from my Pixel 6a!
Better wait for the Pixel 10 with TSMC fabricated Tensor G5. No more heating and network issues hopefully.
💯
G4 has improved thermals over G3 and an entirely new modem
@@Ryrynz2000 Still it is an Exynos 2400 in disguise which is proven to be inefficient from comparison of S24 Sd and S24 Exynos...

Google Pixel 10 in 2025 is supposed to get GAA-Fet litho, so guys don't worry, because the future of this smartphone is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
this is the year I switch back to Android. iPhone 14 Pro Max to Pixel 9 XL
You will love it. If theres any possibility of you remembering this comment section, please share your experience when you get it. Im pretty sure you will be happy, but let me know please!
Same here
Disappointed…
I would go for a pixel 8a😊
Why? Stop producing e-waste. Don't buy just because you can. Use till you can. iPhone 14 pro max will be good even after 4 years from now..
I honestly think thermometer on a phone is a useful thing to have.
It’s stupid! From a pixel fan here
Smaller Pro is good. Even better would be Pixel 9 mini, with something like 5.5-5.6" screen - I really grave for a smaller midranger.
My 4XL literally died just shy of 4 years. Had the 7 Pro since launch but think I'll trade it for this new 9 Pro. High specs with smaller screen is so much better as modern flagships are just too big imo
I'm excited for the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
I was thinking of going for the 8A, but now I’m just going to wait!
Curious if Instagram will finally bridge the gap in video quality between iPhones and Androids. The quality once uploaded to Instagram from Android is disappointing
If I am not mistaken Pixels already have something close that provides social media apps with extra info about the shot pictures
@@PCsAddictionZ nope. I've used pixel for the past 5 years and it's not even close compared to iPhones Instagram quality. sadly disappointing
I have the pixel fold....Like it But going back to a iPhone. Android is the whole issue for me personally. New design is a little too square. But I love flat screens for everything. I can't stand curved edges on the screen.
Congratulations to Google for making an Android version of the iPhone yay 🥳. Let’s see if the Tensor chip can last for more than a year and have some trade in value. I really want one but it’s no iPhone but I want one for sure.
Amazing looks way way better than their original looks , this accully makes it look premium
Currently on the iPhone 13 Pro Max the 15 series was a disappointment pixel 9 series looking really promising I hope the battery life gets a big boost
If google pulls off the perfectly uniform bezels and the iphone-like design, i will 100% buy a 9 pro on launch
I'd actually be surprised if the 9 doesn't have 12GB RAM.
Maybe I'll consider the pixel 9 pro or the XL version.. As of now I'm enjoying my OnePlus 12
It’s a great phone.
If if doesn't have Qi2 or magsafe equivalent, i'm gonna be really disappointed
Why Jon when you talk, it seems like you forget letters sometimes. It's harder to understand than it should be
I’m just waiting for the pixel 2
Squaring off the edges is not a good move
Was anyone else crazy distracted by Jon looking down and to the right (screen left) while reading the script?
hell yes. Smaller pixel 9 pro. That's my next phone! Hopefully they stop doing the 128gb as a starter and start with 256gb.
There is no way they will look like these renders.... No way...
The design is confirmed
They've gotta fix the terrible fingerprint sensor
Definitely agree.
Agreed, the fingerprint sensor was great on the Pixel 3a, and I liked it when it was located on the back of the phone. But now on the Pixel 7, its definitely worse, and far less consistent.
@@FellKrowe I'm definitely not advocating going backwards and putting it on the back again - it would give the phone the 2015 look and most would look elsewhere.
Other Android manufacturers got it right with the ultrasonic sensor but for some reason Google continues to cheap out with the optical one. The damn 8 Pro I've got is on par price wise with the iPhone 15 Pro Max but the unlocking experience is just as shitty as it ever was since my 6 Pro.
I am out, another Exynos modem. Samsung doesn't use their modems in their own phones for a reason.
They put mid teir hardware in flagship phones!
Am I the only one who doesn't like that companies are going for this squared box type look? I liked the iPhone 11/Pro much more than the newer iPhone designs, bith the look and feel. Same with Samsung. I upgraded from S21 FE to S23 and tbh the S21/22 design was better and more comfortabe imo. Even though the S23/24 look better than 21/22.
AI is now on the chip rather than cloud base
My Huawei from 2020 was better than my 2022 pixel. Shame we block competition in the west (China wasn't getting any interesting out of me owning one of their phones)
Pixel Pro XL will be around £1200.00.
I really want to love pixels, but the tensor chip was absolute trash. I went through three returns last year, hoping it was QA issue, but nope. Battery life was average at best, heating issues, cheap modem so very low signal, and a flashlight fingerprint reader, which was barely passable.
If you're thinking about getting a new pixel 9, just remember that your unreleased pixel is already going to be slower than last years flagships.
Slower for what? I have the Pixel 6 and it's super fast for anything I can think of
@@starfox300 are you coming from a Nokia or Blackberry?
@@rsbkey bro just delete all the junk apps and games you have installed
@starfox300 don't have games on my devices. I have basic streaming and social media and everyday apps like email. Plus, if I have to delete apps, they should stop calling pixel a flagship and charging that premium. That's what nexus was for.
@@rsbkey Point is, you have a whole lotta junk thats runnign in the background
need a qi2 magnetic charger or i'm not upgrading
Hate how all the phones look the same.
Disagree with the flat sides feeling better in the hand. I love the small design of the Pixel 8 and the rounded edges make it so so comfortable. Having owned multiple iPhones as well and currently the iPhone 15, the flat sides look good, and should in theory offer more space for internals but not sure whether we'll get a bigger battery or not. Flat sides hurt the hands, unless the corners are really rounded.
Yay !! Not an infomercial
Not happy with the horrible flat sides and flat display and also the horrible looking camera bump, pixel 6 and 7 series has best camera bump design
Complete opposite here. For once I'm truly excited for a Pixel
@@mjnz why I mean the processor is a good upgrade but so far no camera leaks
Agree don't like the flat stuff
Because I've been screaming for years for a normal size pixel with telephoto. I will happily pay iPhone price for that
@mjnz really you would pay 999 for an iPhone with 3x zoom, would just buy the cheaper oneplus 12
Maybe I'll get one The Pixel 9 XL I have the Galaxy S24 Ultra but we'll see😅😅😅😅
didn't the pixel 8 line just release yesterday? lul
Colors?
So Google's making a Samsung Galaxy S10?
I would like a pixel 9 mini
For me the only thing that matters is pixel fold 2
Pixel 9 Pro XL is still the worst name I've ever heard for a phone.
That being said we'll probably get a Pixel 10 and 10 XL next year if the Pixel 9 lineup is a success.
No folding pixel 9?
Does anyone else think there won't be a pixel 9A then?
I think Evan Blass leaked it a few days ago.
Pixel 9 Pro please. Thank you!
Same.
Samsung s24ultra doesn't have flat sides
Love pixels but that boxy design is ugly and uncomfortable. I dont get why they need to copy Apple in any silly decision they make. This goes for Samsung as well...
0:23 Google is going to make a ladder phone 😂
Interesting
Thanks.
I wanted to love my pixel8pro but it didnt cut it, i might try pixel once agaim years from now when they figure the battery out
Let me guess, you still play video games on your phone?

Good phone. Too bad Google can’t be trusted with privacy.
The thumbnail looks like you didn't even try to put any effort into making it. Do better.
BOYCOTT GOOGLE ,, yes, I see the irony in this by using the very platform I'm spreading the awareness of on, but still, boycott
Ah yes the Pixel Pro Max
Wish they made 5 inch phones again.
Kinda same.
I hope they do drop the thermometer. Only like 3 people will care and I'm nearly embarrassed they spent money on that. Otherwise I'm very excited for a normal size Pro
Google is going for the latter 🤣🤣🤣
That thumbnail pic is so awful lol whoever approved that photo should be fired
Eh
Samsnug forever
Bad mindset. Nothing lasts forever they should complete to win your vote
That thing looks like a damn iphone 😅
Yeeeeah no. Until they go on Snapdragon, I won't be upgrading from my Pixel 8 Pro.
Probably wont ever go back.
Small pro 👍🏾
Squared off 👎🏾
The pixel 8 was so beautiful, why they changed it?! This is trash!
Man the view counts and comment interaction has plummeted on this channel.
I absolutely love the pixel phones but my god this is the ugliest phone they have made
Really won't feel better in hand most people hat flat sides as the cut into your hands and are harder to hold
the smartphones are expensive, so "most people" get glass screen protectors so the flat screen is a huge plus and they also get phone cases so the sharp edges on the sides have no meaning anyway.
@piterplichta677 yeah but most people who have curved screen phones also have screen protector and the cases still have much more of an edge on them than a curved protector so your point still makes no sense
@@harryvlogs7833 it doesn't when you can easily find a good (glass) screen protector for a curved screen. Which is never (almost never?) the case. They are either hard to find, or pain in the ass cost-wise and/or quality-wise and difficult to put on. I still see that the standard Pixel 8 has the issue because the edges are curved.
@@harryvlogs7833best thing about the 8 series is finally ditching curved screens.
It seems awful
they look like iphones the design is so bad
I loved Pixel but because they're not reliable, Samsung all the way.
Nope .. too pricey and too buggy. And they removed free storage
Also the back looks like bender from futurama .. looks even worse, still prefer pixel 5/6 design
Is it just me or are the Pixel phones always a disappointment?
6.2" Pro is very exciting to me. I've been screaming for a smaller Pro for years so yes in that regard they've been a disappointment.
Just you
If they are disappointing which i highly doubt, theyre not as disappointing as apple
@@isaacwatanabe9599 the reviews for these phones are always initially positive, but check some of the long term reviews, the phones don't seem to age well. Poor battery life, software bugs, overheating, pointing gimiky features like a thermometer...
It's you
Love the Pixel 8 Pro but battery life is So .So. Google 9 Pro XL needs 5500 mah like O+12r. Give me that and were all in. My Pixel 8 Drains super fast So I dumped the Device for the O+12r and it lasts 1.5 days and charges in 50 min. That's what we deserve from Google 😊
Hard agree.
