Sorry to burst your bubble, but "Raketinheitin" translates to "Rocket launcher" literally. So its quite inaccruate as to what it actually is. The proper finnish word for MLRS is "Monilaukaisuraketinjärestelmä".
@zennr_ and yet its a term nobody uses. Sure we have different classifications for rocket systems as in raketinheitin, raskas raketinheitin.

No way the Chinese crew doesn't say something like Green Peanuts!
A lot of western words have phonetic pronunciation in chinese, but for vehicles named after animals they use the actual name for it in chinese. English isn’t the only language, some english words sound silly as fuck in other languages too
Its because animal names in Chinese are rather short, most likely just a single character with a single vowel, which makes it sound weird when not in a sentence

The Chinese didn't even say multiple, they just said "rocket cannon"
but then again, shorter make it more convenient
Nice observation. As a Chinese speaker, I didn't even realize that. In Chinese, when people say 火箭炮 which directly translates to "rocket cannon," it generally implies "multiple launch rocket cannon." Conversely, if you want to specify a single launch rocket, you would likely need to add an adjective like 单 (single) before 火箭炮. So I think in the Chinese context, 火箭炮 already conveys the meaning of multiple launches.
@@sparrow2509 oh yeah you are right, there's not much, if any single-tubed rocket artillery so usually 火箭炮 implies MLRS, and cannot mean a man-portable bazooka, so there's basically no chance of confusion!
火箭炮 is more of the concept of a kind of an artillery piece that the warhead is propelled by a rocket instead of a gun tube and propellant powder. the formal name for mlrs is 多管火箭炮系统(multiple launcher rocket artillery system).

Most languages: Multi-Launch Rocket System
German: rocket thrower
In Spanish we mostly use the original abreviation of almost everything, like AR (Assault Rifle) instead of RA (Rifle de Asalto), the same applies with MLRS, but if you transalate ot correctly, it'd be Sistema de Lanzacohetes Múltiple, something like SLCM
while Norweigan it is called "Flerrørs rakettkaster" it is commonly referred to as rakettartilleri (Rocket artillery)
in spanish is SLCM (sistema de lanzamiento de cohetes multiple)

The vietnamese 🇻🇳 for MLRS would be "pháo phản lực bắn loạt" (simultaneous-fire rocket artillery)
But I don't see anyone use this term😅😅
I'm from Poland and I think, that it's not how we call it usually.
Normaly we call it "samobieżna artyleria rakietowa", which literally means "self-propelled rocket artyllery". At least I call it like this.
火箭炮 literally means Rocket System. Should be 多管火箭炮 to include translation for "Multiple Launch" part..

In spanish, the traduction for mlrs will be: SLCM (Sistema Lanzador de Cohetes Múltiple)
This is a Raketenwerfer, it werfs Raketen
Why does hungry voice sound so menacing
MLRS is still valid for soanish speakers since its way easier to say than just sistema de lanzacohetes multiple or somth like that.
we also call shit by the english name since its straight out easier or sounds right, like SAM which in spanish should be MTA (misil tierra-aire) or a waya round it is jjst calling it "Misil anti aereo" o stinger or idk
In Vietnam we say the vietnamese words "Pháo phản lực" or "pháo phản lực phóng loạt"

Chinese is definitely the most efficient language, and just three words can explain an object or even its function.
In fact, the MLRS in Finnish is: usean laukaisun rakettijärjestelmä
Moni-laukaisu would be more accurate
As a Spaniard, should be: "Artillería de cohetes motorizada", Motorized rocket artillery.
as a pole i can say that samobieżna wierloprowadnicowa wyrzutnia rakietowa is a W
Czech one could be raketomet.
Raketové dělostřelectvo would be more like name of branch of artilery than name for launcher itself
this is wrong in Hebrew we either call the משגר רקטות or משאית ירי תלול מסלול or most commonly in the military (and the name they should have put in WT as it is what officially is used in the military) is the acronym: מנת"ץ that is pronounced Mantatz
I think for WT thunder MLRS is more suiting. I agree irl משגר רקטות is better
@Oxygen_Addict but מנת"ץ is literally the same Acronym just in Hebrew
@roeesadan8862 Yeah I just meant that for non hebrew speakers it would be more useful that the voiceline says mlrs instead of מנת"ץ
first, you are telling me these voice lines (the ones of vehicle names) are actually usefull to anyone?
second, the default option is for them to be in the language set on your game, if you put them on hebrew or russian don't expect to understand them if you don't speak hebrew or russian. how do people understand the מטען נפיץ when puting HE shells on tanks (which annoys me also because they say "charger" instead of "charge")
third, I forgot what was my third point but I had one!
@roeesadan8862 well I can't argue with your third point...
inconsistent for sure
If japanese is 多連装ロケットシステム、korean should be “다연장(多連装)로켓(Rocket)” or just simply 다연장, 방사포(放射砲)
