- Book 1, Chapter 9 - Still going strong on the aft cabin! A lot of the framework is now in place which means its time to start running the electrical! We purchased some underwater lights and thought about sending them back... because more holes seem like more problems... BUT then we didn't! Watch as we install those suckers & start laying down the insulation.

We’ll let you know how it goes. Hopefully those holes don’t kill us. Chris has drilled plenty of other holes below the water line - some more necessary than others.
Slow but steady progress.
We've watched a number of your videos but don't recall ever seeing you use the underwater lights and are considering installing on our 42 foot sailboat. Do you use them and would you put them in again if you could go back?
PS. we're currently on the hard behind Sexton's on Hayden Island in Portland.
That's cool! Next time in Portland I have to stop by Sexton's because we had a bunch of stuff on consignment there.
I don't know that I would put in the underwater lights if I did it all again, but that might be a personal preference. They draw a fair bit of electricity, and we don't seem to be in the cockpit to enjoy them as much as I thought we would, and I did have to fix a leak in one of the penetrations. I know others that turn them on every night, so again that is just my opinion.

We do... on occasion. Maybe once or twice a year? It would be a good gig for one of the kids now that you mention it. Last year it made of one heck of an Easter egg hunt lol
