well most young guns in northern europe play against 23-40 yo adult pro players when they are 15-19 for several years before drafted

Bro Bedard facing off with the likes of Crosby among many others seems like a dream matchup for a season opener and almost like the passing of the torch moment. I’ve never followed hockey but decided to do so this year, so I’ve been watching UA-cam clips and such to try and catch up some. I still don’t know much but this game seems super exciting.
It's a great sport, McDavid is going to end up a top 5 player all time and Bedard might end up there too. There's an 18 year old making the Buffalo Sabres too, Zach Benson

Connor Bedard is so excited for his nhl debut and he was on this show and when I saw this I was so excited
I didn’t realize this until just now, but there is a reason why it seems that mainstream media has been going after Bedard recently: it’s because his image is too squeaky clean. He doesn’t drink, and he (allegedly) does not eat junk food as he once said. Media outlets need something for their headlines. So if they can get him on locker room behaviour or minor NHL fines, they will run with those stories.

Bedard is going to be awesome...but let's be fair...the highlight dangle was against a defenseman that was drafted 2 years ahead of him at 6 (some considered it a stretch) and has only played his 9 game "taste" of the league to not burn year 1 of his ELC. He's hardly a seasoned NHL defenseman considering he was just reassigned to the AHL squad last night to start the year.
* yes I am a red wings fan, just have to point out Edvinsson isn't really an NHL defenseman yet so that dangle was against an AHL defenseman who is upper tier.
Maybe that's why he pulled the dangle ON HIM. He ain't out there doing it every Shift. You don't think someone like bedard KNOWS who's on the ice with him. 😂

This is a hopeful blackhawks die hard. I'm talking 1980s season tickets from my grandparents die hard. I've already heard of interviews where he's being told "not to go to hard on his teammates" as a chicagoan I'm interpreting that as the next possible "Michael jordan" as an asshole teammate that pushes his team to be better. But as a hockey fan those guys don't really beat down their teammates in practice or games. It's not the vibe of the nhl. All I'm hoping for is a long successful and healthy run. I wanna hear the roar at the madhouse again.
