Brilliant job Stu one of the best you’ve ever done and when you first started on UA-cam they said you weren’t a bricky you prove them all wrong and I’m proud of you son onwards and upwards❤️💪👌
Great video, love that you don't edit out mishaps, real tradies know that something goes wrong on every job, every day and it shows the true professional who can solve a problem and work around it and still produce first class job. 👍 👍 👍
Love finding old newspapers on rip outs. Recently worked on a central London bank and had to get rid of old lockers. Loads of the lockers locked so we jemmied them open to look for goodies! Found newspapers from 30 years ago and I remembered all the stories! When we refit we always hide newspapers in walls and behind boxings. Nice brickwork mate. Cheers.
Well done Stu, love to see KC keeping an eye on you! I have two of my boys work for me, its great to pass on the knowledge, we are in the lake district so not much brick work but more interesting when you pin & prop a stone wall & you get a run on the fill when you start to strip out the stone, that's not for the faint hearted either! Keep up the good work & glad to see you enjoy the craft & dispel a few myths that we are all a bit lacking in the trade.
Great job Stu l think the pull cord breaking was a god send it saved you loads of cutting to get your 10 mm gap the original arch bricks had not been done just laid with a tapered joint your arch looks great because you extended the width of the arch which allowed the brick joint to open on the bottom hope you do a video on fitting the doors so we can see how you sort out that wooden internal lintel when you open up the brick work to the left
I once hired a petrol cut off saw from HSS. Same thing happened with the pull cord. I needed it that day so took the cover off and found the ratchet pawls were just stuck with dust. A bit of WD40 got them springing again. Top job again Stu and love the channel!
Top job as always Stu , looks like they've always been there , saw a couple of Nori,s in there , you Shure have some pure skill and love your job , KC is a cheeky bugger nicking your Lidl purchase, make him work harder next time ha ha , great when machinery breaks, I remember when I had a power cut at work with a car on one of the ramps , took me 3 hours if someone it down with a 32 mm socket n a big ratchet ,to get it off , at least fixing the sthill Saw saved an expensive trip to Seddon's to get if fixed , well done buddy !!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I am just now learning about brickwork because of some projects I have in mind. It just seems like such a permanent solution and well within my skillrange. Your video was very instructive!
just brilliant, the best brickwork videos on the web, really super, I wouldn't have been able to attempt this at all, I would have scratched my head a few times.
I was worried right until the end that you’d finally screw up a job but it turned out perfectly! Don’t know how you worked that out in your head. Awesome
Brilliant job my friend !!! I have a stone house in Spain that the windows are very old around 1900 so pointing the wall I have found an exactly same situation and after I did see your video I could open the window that was close fix the arch and with confidence the job was done successfully... thanks for your video and inspiration!!! GOD bless you!!!! *****
That thumbnail is so satisfying... Nothing better than laying a pretty brick with nice full joints. Damn... I've been doing this for too damn long.. lol
Still cutting only one side of the voissures ! When you put in the last brick you have to put the muck on the brick like a pair of folding wedges . ie 10mm going back to nothing on one side of the joint and on the other side nothing going to 10mm then it looks slick . When you fill the top bed joint put the muck in from the end not the face . Look on ebay for 6mm fugen kelle .Brave effort Stu not one of your best though . All the best
Cracking videos Stu.. Gives me some inspiration to tackle a few jobs.. The wife is always saying are you watching that chap again..lol.. keep up the good work.
corbin -coopz0 I fast forward through those clips. I just want to see how it should go without mistakes. Cannot hear what he says anyway, too much accent.
