I like how The Emperor despite craving power refused both Demonic and Angelic assistance. All was forged by his hand but it was not necessarily some unrealistic open palm but the closed gauntlet of conquest. Chaotic Neutral like a bad ass! Epic song, guys.

Yeah almost every song of theirs sounds the same lol. But always good tunes. I think their last 2 albums are by far their best so far, best rifs, progressions, hooks that don't sound repetitive and generic. Just 2 fukin awesome albums.
@@osio4783 I do love Bible of the Beast. Especially the 3 songs Werewolves of Armenia, We Take the Church by Storm and Resurrection By Erection which are 3 of my favourite PW songs. To my mind though the very first album obviously has its own sound, then Lupus through to Blessed and Possessed all sound about the same. then Sacrament of Sin and Call of the Wild are the only ones other than the original that actually sound different. Way less generic songs with more variety and just way more catchy overall. As on all the previous albums the choruses are usually just the name of the song repeated over and over and over again, while Sacrament and Wild do a lot more with the choruses for the most part. That being said I do really enjoy every album. In my opinion at least.

@@timberndsen5156 Keeping a formula that works is great, the songs may sound similar, but I love it, and for me each song has its own identity which differentiates them from each other. Most bands repeat the same formula, but not all of them manage to maintain their success like Powerwolf.
As a DM who was basically using Powerwolf for extra ideas in a Curse of Strahd campaign, I like the idea of them as priestly "shepherds" with a little town as their "flock"... Just don't be surprised when the shepherd looks a little hairier than usual on the night of a full moon. And gets hungry for extra-rare "mutton shoulder".

Just discovered this band and bloody hell Powerwolf is everything I want, brilliant power metal with a dark almost gothic feel to it and heck yeah I love vampires, werewolves and the atmosphere of their songs. Attilas voice is so powerful, raw and lovely at the same time also love to see how much fun the band has. I pledge myself to the church of metal!
