Powerwolf literally doesn't change throughout the years/albums, and that is for the better. They ALWAYS deliver, and exactly what one would expect. They stayed authentic and true to their vision for years and don't seem to want to change; and this is why people love them (me included)
I have actually started using songs as inspirations for homebrew campaigns. It works so well! My favorite so far was using "You're gonna go far" by the Offspring. An untalented bard finds a cursed lute that gives him exceptional skill, but he slowly gets possessed by an evil deity trapped inside the lute. It was so much fun to run.
Absolutely agreed, several of their songs, mainly Sanctified with Dynamite, Kiss of the Cobra King, and Sainted by the Storm, have inspired my a TTRPG i'm currently working on lol.
