Whoopi and Joy need to quit dismissing what Alyssa and Sara (and Sunny to an extent) are saying. They are trying to say that this is not convincing the voters who may sit home to vote for Biden and we must have them in order to win.
They seem to think that a critique on anyone old is a critique on them… We’d not be in a gerontocracy right now if older generations cared about mentoring new leaders and then “passing the torch”… instead we live in a world where the elderly keep power until they die

10000%. And so are Alyssa and Sara. And Whoopi needs to stop. We’re not talking about Trump right now. Right now it’s about selecting the candidate who can best beat him and LEAD America back to sanity as much as possible. We’ll all get on board with whomever after the convention. And stop it with it’s up to as the voters!! AGGRAVATING. We’re not voting until November. Right now it’s up to the Dems to select the right person and up to the media to be as objective and honest as possible so voters have all the info they need to make good decisions in Nov. And for the Dems to run an amazing campaign. I’m losing respect for Whoopi and that makes me sad. I don’t care if she has a bad day. She’s not the president of the “free world.” And Obama and others have had bad days. Biden is in crisis and he has failed at a huge part of his job which is communication and being vibrant and charismatic and leading a strategic comm plan. He’s not a leader. He’s great at governing but no one wants to listen to him talk. He can’t make an effective case against Biden and that is one of his most critical jobs. SO angry at Biden’s enablers and all the stubborn Dems right now. Listen! to people. Hilary didn’t and see where that got her. Get out of the bubble. Let’s celebrate Biden like a hero at the convention and get some inspiration and energy back to Dems. Sorry for the rant - I’m going to have to stop watching The View. Under Trump, we had zero wars, no vax mandates and less taxes to pay. I lost my career while 6 months pregnant because I refused to get vaccinated. Had to take a job in another state that didn’t require them and that directly impacted everything in my life. I’m voting with those issues in mind.

When younger voters consistently vote in national and primary elections, THEN I’ll care what they want in an election. I am sorry but young people have a lot to say but they don’t vote. If they did, the make up in the Senate and House would be different. Democrats have counted on the young vote since the 60’s and they don’t win because young people don’t show up for the PRIMARIES where it counts. “ What about Gen Z and the Millennials?” Ask them why they can’t be bothered to show up for ALL elections, not just the presidential elections.

Right now this is likely getting more views, so of course they will focus on this issue more... journalism has fallen a long ways. News has become another form of entertainment, and is not all a true representation of what news is intended to communicate.
@@shalonsmith3653 no they have not since the actual decision came out- it's very important to do a deep dive into what this actually means- they did it when Dobbs came down, they did it on a lot of major decisions but this they've only sprinkled in anecdotally in other segments.

There's a difference between a normal amount of Cognitive Decline, which is part of tje aging process and dementia.
There is time to make a change. Have all candidates meet in say Chicago, discuss/debate who will be the best to replace Biden, and FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY go forward with that process and that chosen agreed upon representative. REAL SIMPLE. The candidates are representative of those who want what is best (you would hope) for the democratic party. If they do NOT do this, BIDEN WILL LOSE. I'm Gen Z and I promise, I would rather vote for Biden than someone completely new. Not because I don't believe that there is someone better than Biden but because I think it's too risky to switch him out. That's a whole new platform and campaign that wouldn't live up to all the media buzz that followed that man versus Biden...it's just too ingrained in the current political environment in my opinion. However, there is a positive side to this for my younger Gen Z and older (like me) which is that we can start looking for new political leaders for 2028 and the nearer future in general.
