The atom could be smartest car to use on all tracks because it doesn't have the mass momentum to keep going into the wall after it goes off road. It also doesn't cost as much as a GT3 Class vehicle and it can keep up I assume. I also assume it's cheap and easy to repair as everything is exposed.

I'm not sure the problem on that first spin was mid corner throttle, mate. I've seen the footage a couple of times and it seems to me that he realizes he's going too fast, lifts off quite aggressively and loses the rear. Either way, thank god for that gravel trap...

I think being smoother would help alot but you are already clearly quite a good driver. Bit annoying you rest your arm on the side though and drive with one hand at times, definately not good enough for that and can be dangerous when near other drivers!

Well..... "the Atom won Autocar's 0-100 mph challenge as the new Ariel Atom 2 300 bhp supercharged edition achieved a time of 6.86 seconds".. (Don't know what this model is, but an Atom is quick...) He was at speed in the corner and then full throttle for 8 sec and then was breaking a bit down before sliding of the track.. The dirt is heavy and can stop a car pretty fast. Not saying he is driving 100+ mph. But its around that number.
He had to be close to 100 mph when he hit the dirt. That atom is quick and it's been changed from supercharged to turbocharged. Who knows how much power this one is pushing.
Nice driving! Very aggressive, but you're really pushing the limit and that's how you improve! Lets be honest, an aggressive style is a lot more fun, but you've got to have balls and no children because hitting rails at high speed is never fun.
What I was taught on a track day is since the car is extremely light, coming off the power completely and letting it float around the corner will make it spin, or at least prone to losing control. Your atom goes like a bat out of hell though. Definitely wasn't moving that quick when I had a go
Coming off the gas and dabbing the brakes on corner entry shifts the weight onto the front tyres unloading the rear and that's how the first spin came about...Looks great fun to drive!
Using heal-and-toe downshifts would help enormously, stopping you from snatching the rear tyres on the downshifts which'll have you going backwards as well. I've never driven an Atom but the pedals should be ideal for heal-and-toe. I used this technique every day to work so it became second nature when I jumped into the race car. BTW...your driving's great, so ignore the retards who say otherwise!
A crash happens if you can't just drive out and go back on the track, this isn't a crash. If the guy lost a wheel or bent up the frame or something, then that would be a crash.
Ariel atom is a rear wheel drive car, so you could have easily drifted that corner and saved it, I've drifted a corner before and somewhat saved it, however I ended up letting off the gas too soon and the wheels grabbed hard and I spun out anyways. With a little practice though, those kind of spin outs are easily recoverable
Lue 3099 they do, but a supercharger has a whining sound, its very progressive as the revs increase. In this video, when the car is in low revs, you only hear the engine, and when the revs start to climb, you hear a very loud sucking noise, a whistle almost-turbo.

Two things: The steering gain of the car is too low at the limit: Change the rack or the column joints to 'quicken' it up after 45 degrees of SW angle. Otherwise it looks like its really just a fun-run car on this track. Same comments for the 'Ring play(s).
