I live in a rural area that's heavily conservative. While at a medical clinic today waiting for my ride home, I was watching the news in the waiting room and this clip of Trump was playing. Two woman nearby reacted in disgust, and at first I was heartened by their reaction. I thought, "finally, he's even turning off his base." But then they started discussing it: "The dummy is going to lose the election for us, veterans aren't going to like this. Why can't he stick to going after Kamala? He just can't help himself with these dumb comments." His supporters are fully aware that he's a despicable human being, they see it and simply don't care. They only care if he makes it too obvious.

Hey there .. psychiatric professional here.. there is something called “Post Traumatic Stress Response “ it relates to shorter time and not as intense symptoms. It could make sense, bc most who go through trauma have a bit of that without knowing sometimes . The lay person might say they were “rattled” or “stressed” for about six months. It resolved before a year . I agree very much with the fact that Trump probably would not tend to a full on PTSD - primarily because of the nature of his personality (narcissistic sociopathic) … that made sense. But he def might have had the common post traumatic stress reaction ….

I live in a rural area that's heavily conservative. While at a medical clinic today waiting for my ride home, I was watching the news in the waiting room and this clip of Trump was playing. Two woman nearby reacted in disgust, and at first I was heartened by their reaction. I thought, "finally, he's even turning off his base."
But then they started discussing it: "The dummy is going to lose the election for us, veterans aren't going to like this. Why can't he stick to going after Kamala? He just can't help himself with these dumb comments." His supporters are fully aware that he's a despicable human being, they see it and simply don't care. They only care if he makes it too obvious.

Honestly as a millennial who is the first one in my family to graduate from college with my Master’s degree - I now have a job where I’m making the same as every other of my coworkers who don’t have any college degrees ($50k/yr) In short, my student loans were $1,250/month needless to say with 3 kids I went into default and now even though I have a 750 credit score I CANNOT BUY A HOME. My husband can’t add me to a mortgage.

A town near me already has a housing subsidizing program. If you qualify (not sure of financial details) you can buy a $250,000 for $175,000. And it is completely helping this town and the school sysytem. 40 new houses and they are 90% filled in les than one year.

Three years ago President Biden said the following in his "Presidential Address to Congress" where he stated that he will not add to the tax burden of the middle class of this country:
"The pandemic has only made things worse. 20 Million working and middle class Americans lost their job in the pandemic. At the same time roughly 650 billionaires in America saw their net worth increase by more than one trillion dollars in the same exact period. Let me say this again, 650 people increased their net worth by more than 1 trillion dollars during the pandemic and they're now worth more than 4 trillion dollars. My fellow Americans "Trickle Down Economics" has never worked and it is time to grow the economy from the bottom and the middle out."
Lets understand where "Trickle-Down Economics" came from and who injected this failed economic theory into US politics. A cornerstone of Republican Administration economic and fiscal policy since the Reagan Administration has been "Trickle-Down Economics". The concept of using federal tax cuts to stimulate the US economy stated with US Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon in the 1920's which ended with the "Great Depression". It was resurrected by the Reagan Administration based on information provided by "The Heritage Foundation". Republicans used "Trickle-Down Economics" to justify the Reagan tax cuts, the 2 GW Bush tax cuts, and Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017. In each of the aforementioned tax reforms, taxes were cut across all income brackets, but the biggest reductions were given to the highest income earners and large corporations. The result of basing US federal tax policy on "Trickle-Down Economics" has been US GDP growth below 2.5%, multiple economic down-turns which lasted between 3 and 7 years, and accumulation of $34T in national debt.
Now, we have "The Heritage Foundation" pushing their "Project 2025 Plan" to recast our government's policies from including multi-ethnic / multi-cultural aspects of the US population into policies based on Christian Nationalism. The last time "The Heritage Foundation" influenced US federal policy via a Republican Administration was by pushing "Trickle-Down Economics" and we lived with a failed national economic and fiscal policy for over 40 years. Why would anyone not out of their mind use anything "The Heritage Foundation" produces / proposes? "The Heritage Foundation" credibility as a supposed "Conservative Think Tank" should be dismissed and it should be prevented from having further influence on US Government policy. Period...

I hate the question, "Is the country headed in the right direction?" As long as we have the threat of MAGA and autocracy -- the answer is NO! But it never meant I did not agree with the administration. Pollsters need to ask clearer questions that get to accurate answers.
It also demotivates his supporters, it certainly doesn't encourage voters to get out and fight for him. But that's why we all need to be fighting each and every day to get every last voter on our side and ready to cast their ballot as soon as early voting begins in their area.

Hey there .. psychiatric professional here.. there is something called “Post Traumatic Stress Response “ it relates to shorter time and not as intense symptoms. It could make sense, bc most who go through trauma have a bit of that without knowing sometimes . The lay person might say they were “rattled” or “stressed” for about six months. It resolved before a year . I agree very much with the fact that Trump probably would not tend to a full on PTSD - primarily because of the nature of his personality (narcissistic sociopathic) … that made sense. But he def might have had the common post traumatic stress reaction ….
