Being a Tamil, I understood nothing except for a few words here and there. But I enjoyed this entire video right from the beginning to the end. Legendary BMK! He has no equal, had no equal, and will have no equal. God bless this divine artist!

We all miss you, Sir. You are already a Bharat Ratna... If the government wants to glorify the award they can give it to you. BMK is the greatest singer, vaagheyakara and inventor in music in the last 200 years.
I worked in Hyderabad Airport for nearly 8 years I can understand spoken Telugu I respect Balamuralikrishna he acted in few films also

That baala was added to him by a senior harikatha vidwan after listening to BMK's first concert at the age of 7 years. His parents gave him murali Krishna as the name originally.

It is very unfortunate that no body is recommending him for Bharata Ratna which he deserves highly. He is the only living Vaggeyakara. When Lata Mangeshkar only a singer can be given Bharata Ratna, what's wrong with this legendary artist, a composer, inventor of so many ragas and rendered thillanas and western notes too in Carnatic Music. It's very very shame on the part of the South Indians who have never raised this issue. It would be adding value to the value of Bharat Ratna. He is truly a jewel in the crown of Music.

Agree. However, often awards are a honor to the recipient. In some cases, it is the recipient that gives honor to the award! Sri MBMK is one of such towering giants. If they don't give the Bharat Rathna to him, it is a reflection of the politics behind how it is awarded. So, I wouldn't bother about this.

He deserves Bharatha Ratna undoubtedly. By doing this respect to Bharatha Ratna increases. He is beyond all.
He is God for music.
Balamuralikrishna had an unique voice. He was not only a singer but also a viola player. He was a great vaaggeyakaara of our times. He was blending Hindustani with our Carnatic music. Listening to him was a great delight. He is one who took our taste of music to greater heights. He and Begum Parveen Sultana are my all-time favourites. He could have been awarded with Bharatha Rathna. But alas he was a South Indian. This disparity persists even today. This imperialistic attitude of North shall end.

Bhimsen Joshi was given but a Vidwan who did jugalbandi with him and proved great was not honoured with Bharat Ratna. Shri MBK was present day Vaggeyakara, who wrote lyrics, composed with notation and sang himself and apart from that, he invented new ragas. Why there is disparity between north and south. Art is art, there should not be any regional feelings and politics. This is what is happening in this country. Talent is not recognised.

@@santoshpss it’s been 13since, I vaguely remember eating quite a bit of items including the non vegetarian options served during the meet and greet dinner at Bombay restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. He was eating mostly veg and apparently like to eat yogurt rice, sitting across the table.
