the way you get so attatched and feel homey in your hotels is probably one of the things that makes you a great traveler! Temporary housing/lodging doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable and the “home base” of your hotel makes coming back to it more relaxing & you can enjoy your time out more! so happy you got to have this trip, enjoy! you deserve it!

man .. i must say as a concert lover sometimes drunk people really ruin the vibe. if you’re a fun drunk it’s awesome and a good time if you’re an asshole it ruins so many peoples time experience expectation and everything. i’ve had people try to push me out of my space i’ve waited in all day once the show starts, i’ve had people spill drinks on my clothes on my hair, people talking loudly while the artist is playing or talking being so disrespectful to everyone around them and it’s so disappointing to deal with and try to block out and live in the moment. i can only imagine how livid id be if someone ruined my merch like he did to your vinyl. you’re better than me adam honestly it’s hard to not confront when repeatedly disrespected but i hope you could still enjoy and also the fact that’s not your only show is great so you could have much better memories of the tour. anyway all this to say i relate 😵💫

I agree and I know many Marylanders would also agree that you don't "walk around" Baltimore. Except for the inner harbor like you mentioned and even then still some days are sketchy lol. Also that's so frustrating having that kind of concert experience. From the beginning those people sounded awful. It sounds like you had A LOT of patience with them. I wouldn't have even lasted a second next to them without me exploding on them!

My thoughts on why you can't handle the alcohol in America are the laws and regulations are very different from UK to US so it could be how the alcohol is made and/or different percentages which could be hitting you quicker.

When I moved to NYC I did and said the same things… when I’d fly in I’d play Frank Sinatras New York, I would look in every ones windows at night and see their interior and create stories in my head about who lives there. In Canada we sell the Mr.beast bars for $15. I work at a shop that sells them and the amount of money people will spend on them is insane… we also sell bottles of prime. One prime can cost about $12 depending on flavour but most of the time you can find them cheaper in other stores around $5 for a single bottle
Every time my kid would see Pigeons when they were little would say “hi chickens!” It was so funny then they would storm towards them at the same time and scare them all away, ah the good old days. Thanks for giving me a memory

Pennsylvania native here and do like my neighbor state but I was there for a conference and front desk warned me as well as the conference organizer. That was a welcome bag from the bride and groom to all their wedding guests with local goodies. Usually given out when checking in.
