- Powerful Pratt & Whitney PW2000 engine sound! Great departure to the West from Runway 26L! Takeoff was around noon! Beautiful views of the cargo ramp and the Atlanta skyline! Beautiful weather! Atlanta is truly a city of trees! Filmed from the First Class cabin on board Delta Airlines! Flight 2069 to Dallas-Fort Worth. 8/13/12.
757's are the drag cars of airplanes. Man that sounds incredible.
They're ridiculously overpowered. Not that I'm complaining of course!
Rolls royce rb211 sounds better
@@Cobras7111 I agree. Im in love with the MD 11's of course. Although being phased out, Fedex still has a few and that whistle they give off taking off is insane.
@@aircraftsandtrains2309 Look at the climb on this MD 11 which is my favorite dinosaur of planes and the whistle of the tri engine. ua-cam.com/video/xbuE3dwBPpI/v-deo.htmlsi=TsINsEYkJ3MKGraw&t=304
1 of the 2 main reasons the 757 is one of my favorite airplanes, especially flying Delta. The engine sound
I've flown on Delta's 757s more than any other plane. Delta is by far my favorite airline.
Austin Deppe you must love light chops!
The sound of those engines turns me into a 8 year old.....aweome vid. Thanks for posting.
That 757 takeoff roar makes me go WOO! WOOO! 🙌🏽🙌🏽✈️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the engine sound and all those trees in beautiful Atlanta.
This Is What A Takeoff Should Sound Like!
Right now things change engines get more quieter isn’t been the same
Hang on, I'm mopping up drool because I turned up the sound all the way. THIS IS AWESOME!!!
I'll be hearing this sound tomorrow! I'm flying to florida with a layover in Atlanta!
Awesome! Enjoy your flight!
Thanks.
How was the flight?
Love that sound! Definitely one of my favorite engines
VERY powerful takeoff! You guys rolled 4500 feet!! Wow!!
The engine roar is my fave ive always wanted to fly on a 757
Better hurry! I'm not sure how much longer they'll be around!
Beautiful view, smooth takeoff.
Glad you liked the view! Thanks for the comment!
J adore les PW 2000 le bruit du buzzsaw est juste magnifique a entendre
Good sound...
Good music on my hears
Aren't those the same engines they use on the Globemaster III? Sick sound.
Yes...
Yes
The sounds of these definitely rival those of the RB211.
The PW2000 is an incredible engine! Such a smooth sound! You will always get great engine sound on board the 757 between the PW2000 and RB-211!
Agreed!
Both are fantastic engines, but I've only been on PW and slightly prefer them for sound. I like how you could go on one and pretend you're on a C17.
I prefer the RB211 as they can provide an amazing spool-up and buzzsaw without being too noisy.
No comparison, the Pratts are brutes.
Rb211s are about a step behind.
Oh Man. You were lucky. No lollygagging in a traffic pattern. Just reach for the sky in the Boeing rocket. Wonderful!
Best airplane ever
That is one heck of a climb rate. Leave it to the 757.
Boeing should have kept the 757. It could have been equipped with newer engines, avionics, and maybe slim line seats to increase profitability.
The 757 is a powerhouse. An Airbus A321 isn't much smaller than a 757 and its engines push about 24,000 pounds of thrust each. Compare that to the 57 pushing 38,000 lbf each engine.
Libslayer007 I wish they had kept it too! It's a great aircraft!
The A321s engines have 33,000lbs of thrust each engine. PW1000 equipped A321neo will have 35,000lbs of thrust from each. The A321 will never be as good as the 757 in terms of takeoff performance and range and will never be as fun, but it is at least a much better replacement than the 737-900ER. I wish the 757-300 would have had hit the market sooner, it would have sold a lot more.
I'm with you. The 757 was the best Boeing I've flown. Instead of giving the 73 a new steroid shot every few years they should have kept the 75 line going. Imagine the performance it would have with the latest generation of engines. Now Boeing is upset that the A320/321NEO is pulling ahead.
Absolutely love 757's..
Take over I-75, nice!
My hometown & home carrier.
757s climbs like a rocket Boeing made a big mistake of stopping production in 2004
They're such a great aircraft!
Airlines practicing EM overhaul see phenomenal fleet service from the PW2K year after year. The Air Force chose the engine for the C17. The PW2000 engine wears the military F117 engine designation.for the C17. Interestingly the F117 is an FAA certified engine as is ofcourse the PW2000.
Hi again, I'm a subscriber & have watched all your Beyond Awesome video's almost everyday. I don't fly as often as I used to, but when I want to capture the exact feeling, I watch all my fav's that you've done, hooked up to a great Bose sound system and I am right there.!!!! THANKS.!!
I'm really glad you like all the videos so much! Thank you for your continued viewership and your kind words!
Glad you liked it!
love this plane and sound of engine
The engines sounds like the RB211 on the boeing 767
Da Giraffe that roars like a LION! YAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZ!!!❤️✈️🦒
One of the best planes made an still flying .. Love the vid
Love that noise.
Me too! Glad you liked it so much!
Phenomenal video too! Congrats!
Glad you liked it! Thank you for commenting!
I haven't been on a 757 but I will fly a 767.
I like this video
The more thrust you produce, the more drag there is.
That sound !
PW2000 engine sounds like TF39 on the C5
very nice!
Very nice:) Always preferred the PW engines over any other engine type! Especially the 757s, 747s and the 767s! Btw, what seat was this taken in?
I think this was 6D! Glad you liked the video! PW certainly makes great engines! Thanks for your comment and for your subscription!
+GeminiJets32 but the 747 will always sound perfect with the GE CF6 :D
Rafael Yebra right but it sounds way cooler with the RB211
My home airport!
Personally, the RB211s are better to me, but in general this is amazing.
Pure sound!!!!!! Which camera do you use?
No Love for Atlanta. But Your Vid was Excellent . Thanks 4 Sharing.
Sounds like a buzz saw
5:06 Nung-Nung
Sony HDR CX-100!
hey mah next time you fly through atlanta tell me beforehand so i can try to spot your flight. ;)
Delta uses PW2000 on all their 757s
Sounds like a quieter PW4000.
what seat?
How do you fly so much? Business?
Libslayer007, 19 tons of thrust each engine versus 12 tons of thrust each engine means 7 times more drag produced, resulting in less efficiency and airlines simply cannot afford the inefficiency.
+Richard Fleer I think you're using the #'s wrong. Please elaborate, I'd like to discuss this. Cheers
Simple math really. How many engines are there on this particular model of airplane? 19 tons of thrust times two equals 38 tons. 38 tons of thrust required to move a mass like this one is creating quite a bit more drag than an engine creating only 24 tons of thrust or 12 tons per engine.
It's a simple explanation. What are the four forces acting on an airplane? Yaw, pitch, thrust and drag.
Is this a 200or300
I'm sure it's 200 because no winglets, when flying with Thomas Cook the 757-200 diddont have winglets but I'm no expert
If Boeing says that a lightly loaded 777 can do a 0-60mph in 6 seconds, then a lightly loaded 757 would be fast.
Yeah, both are pretty fast!
The 777 has the Ge engines that put out 115,000lbs of thrust
777s are very strong, you definitely feel it when they let off the brakes on takeoff.
Everyone PAY ATTENTION: Starting at 1:20 , notice the angle of the horizon during takeoff. That corresponds to the angle of the plane during takeoff. In other words, when filming takeoffs in planes, do not attempt to keep the horizon level in the viewfinder! That makes your footage look amateur, and conveys next to ZERO sense of lifting off the ground at high speed. 'Mah584jr HD' really gets takeoff done with his playlist, and you really feel the effect, whether viewing on a phone or a fifty-inch smart TV.
7 times more drag produced per engine.
Lift, weight, thrust and drag. Sorry.
