I use all ingredients but the texture doesn't come out like this. I wonder why? How long do you bake gingerbread for and what temperature? Is it 350 etc. I use a toaster oven. My regular oven works but I find it very confusing to use. I don't know if that's the reason why
@@KatBakingExplorer ok. I had actually made it for Christmas and it came out good as far as texture. I also preheated the oven beforehand Does preheating the oven have to do with it too as far as texture
Not sure if anyone has tried this, I have not yet; although supposedly if you wrap foil folded in half, around the metal pan or baking dish, the loaf is even around when fully baked......
It's totally normal for loaf cakes to rise and have cracks on the top, you can encourage a neater crack by putting a line of melted butter along the top of the batter before baking it.
