My mom is buried in Donaldsonville. I had some very good child hood memories there. I could see where the movie theater and hospital used to be, now torn down. The building where the Trailaway bus station is still there, now painted white. 🤗. You driving a little fast, I’m glad the ole boys didn’t ticket you. 🤗 Thanks for the tour. 🤗🥰 Side note. I’m in Atlanta but will be buried next to my mom in Donaldsonville. 😊
1:04 I remember that intersection as if it were yesterday, the walgreens used to be a rite aid, across the street was a harveys grocery store that later moved to the location across the street while the old one turned into a piggly wiggly store. there was a movie rental place and a dollar store called bills, the schools look rougher than they did when I was a kid in the 90s... man this place looks so different now.
I lived here in the 90s with my grandparents over on Saddle Club. I remember going to the rite aid with my grandpa to pick up his prescriptions and he'd always let me get a snickers bar. It still looks the same, but different at the same time. Time sure does fly.
