    PLEASE WATCH MY UPDATED VIDEO ON LPR & GERD HERE: ua-cam.com/video/9TVMcS42se0/v-deo.html
    MIXTURE:
    250 ml (1 cup) of alkaline water
    1/2 tbsp baking soda
    I recommend THESE bottles: amzn.to/3uy9xGY
    Also, I much prefer Betaine to ACV now.
    HERE ARE THE BETAINE PILLS I RECOMMEND
    Amazon.com
    Betaine HCL - amzn.to/3HY52sr
    Amazon.ca
    Betaine HCL - amzn.to/3SzjzBi
    I hope this video gives you hope! REALLY be mindful of your lifestyle choices (do you drink a lot of bubbly water? Do you chew your food well? Are you sensitive to any foods you eat?) because it could very likely be something you aren't considering that's causing you pain. Some of my biggest contributing factors were: eating portions that were too large, not chewing well enough, eating too close to bed, and consuming too much liquid with a meal.
    Also if you found the video helped and would like to support me you can do that here: www.buymeacoffee.com/sahdlife I put a lot of time and effort into my channel and really appreciate the support👊If I've helped you out please help me out! Every dollar helps a small creator like me.

    Let me start by saying thank you sir. 😊 I'm a 38 yr old brick mason and I've been suffering for 6-7 years with LPR. I have never had heart burn., so when my throat started burning and hurting I went to an EMT and he told me acid reflux is doing it and take some ppi pills and you'll be fine. The ppis did nothing at all and I was suffering and in hell. I quit smoking after 13yrs, ate better, raised my bed. Nothing helped. So I started doing research and found out about how the medical world has failed patients on LPR and how it's eventually going to lead to cancer. I became depressed and just excepted my fate. After years i just got used to the pain day in and out. I was talked into going to a gastrointestinal dr. I tell him about my throat and LPR and he looks at me and says, "yh I think I've heard of that." My heart sank, I knew he wasn't going to help me. I then just hoped it would go away and continued my life learning to deal with the pain. That was until 3 days ago, when I found this video. I ran to the store bought the ingredients and squirted it in my throat while breathing and felt instant relief that I haven't had in years. I still had some burning in the back of my throat so the next day I tried it up my nose and I could have cried like a baby. The relief I felt I just can't explain. Ty so much for this video it has honestly changed my life!

I am in mental pain right now cos I have had throat issues for couple months but the ent gave the ok for throat and he said it might be gerd, well lo and behold a week later started having the liquid in my back of throat and my stomach gurgling etc. I tried drinking some baking soda but it just made me burp which is supposed to mean I don’t have low acid in my stomach.

    I have been in and out of the Emergency room all week and also my PCP 3 days this week. My reflux is out of control. It is affecting my sinuses and giving me tinnitus. I have tried every ppi and lifestyle chage. No smoking no drinking. I'm healthy weight. I'm now on klonopin for the panic attacks the tinnitus is causing. I live with the tastes of acid always in my mouth and it sucks. I came across your vid and decided to gargle some baking soda and water and that Nast taste in my mouth and throat is now gone. I can not thank you enough for this video. I'm in tears and peace.

      @@alexlabra1562 Sorry, I didn't get a notification from UA-cam about the replies before and just saw these messages. No, I haven't found any cure yet. But I have got clues on what might work to fix it. I have had malabsorption issue since birth. Most likely my body is not making sufficient stomach acid. Years ago, muscles around my navel shifted (this issue is called navel displacement although it is not medically acknowledged) This was when the muscles put abnormal pressure on my stomach and I ended up having LPR and IBS both. Due to weakness of muscles they didn't come back to the original position. So now I have started on Betaine HCL, and some other supplements and also doing yoga specifically to fix navel displacement. I am positive that this should fix my weak muscles and as soon as the abnormal pressure on my stomach is removed, LES should also close.
      In the meantime, I have given up dairy and citrus. I am experimenting with Itopride 150 mg daily. I am also taking Quercetin 400 mg twice daily. Overall, this has reduced my LPR symptoms by over 70% and that's a huge relief. I have done all of these within the last few weeks. I am not sure about Itopride's efficacy but the rest of the remedies are working well. Also I do Anulom Vilom Pranayama which is very helpful. If I can gradually increase it to 15 minutes twice a day, I think my LPR symptoms will reduce by over 90%.

    This is first time ever I am writing a review on UA-cam video. I am very happy to share with you all that, this trick woks. I am suffering with LPR from past 3 months and multiple doctors gave me multiple antibiotics assuming it is throat infection. I did not get any relief. Finally some wise doctor told me this is due to LPR and put me on PPI tablets. I did not get any relief either...I began to search about it and found this very informative video. Following these steps, just in 2 days I got a relief from throat ache. I want to say a big Thank you!!

I visited many doctors, had X-rays, inhalers, medications and many more things thrown at me. I was so frustrated but started using this method in April of 2023 alongside Pepcid daily (my doctor said it was okay) and avoiding acidic foods. I can now say that my LPR was gone after 2 months of consistency!! I felt hopeless and now I’m so happy to live without coughing 24:7. God Bless 😊

      I have a newer video on the topic in the pinned comment you might want to watch. And yes, I was also made aware of anxiety and how much it affects the throat. For me, reading the Power of Now, and especially The Untethered Soul (which I reviewed in this channel) really launched me down a path toward healing. You should watch those videos on my channel and if they make sense to you, perhaps you might want to try a similar approach. Unfortunately there is no magic pill for you... you have to learn to accept your situation and do what you can to make it better. The good news is I believe you are on the right track, but you will need to be patient and work on yourself.

    Lots of good content. Thank you. I instantly sought relief by talking teaspoons throughout the day of cream of tartar. It's mostly potassium. I think that's why your baking soda works. However cream of tartar is mostly potassium. I read somewhere we need 4500mgs of potassium, yet our diets rarely reach half that daily. 1tsp cream of tartar is about 450 mg. A banana is 300. A avocado is 5-650. Potassium creates HCl for digestion

    I had a constant globus sensation in my throat and everything I ate made my esophagus inflamed. I went to the doctor and they sent me to a GI specialist. I had a scope done and their findings was a weak LES and irritated esophagus. He diagnosed me with LPR. All they do is prescribe me PPIs. I’ve been taking PPIs for 8 months. They help only a little. They keep my larynx and everything else from being inflamed and in pain. But the mucous in the throat is always there, the globus sensation, and the tightness in my throat. I’ve done the best I can to stay away from trigger foods. I’m not overweight, I would consider myself fairly healthy, I don’t smoke or drink. I love coffee so I’ve had to completely eliminate it because it seems to be my worst trigger. It’s so depressing, I’m trying so hard to not let it get the best of me. I’m praying hard to figure out why my LES is weak. That’s the main issues that’s not been addressed. I’ve never had heartburn or GERD. So I’m so confused as to how the LPR came about. I’m going to try the baking soda gargle today. Sorry for such a long comments, I think we all know how frustrating it is.

    • @TheSAHDLife
      @TheSAHDLife  Рік тому +6

      Yes, those of us who have had it KNOW how frustrating it is. I think you are on the right track... something irritates your stomach and the LES is weak. Do you drink lots of carbonated water? Have you tried eliminating gluten / dairy? It's tough because we get tests and we WANT them to find something so then we'll have an answer. It feels worse thinking the solution is something else... maybe something more sinister. It's not. You will get through this. The mind does a lot of damage to the situation as well... I think working on your mental well-being help enormously when it comes to this LPR (which triggers a lot of anxiety). Do you have resources you can turn to for this? If you need some suggestions let me know.

    • @TheSAHDLife

      No, I've found the Betaine doesn't need pepsin to be effective. Just get a reliable brand and it should work. I've had bloodwork done but to be honest I can't remember if B12 was checked. No red flags with the blood.
      Yes, I've dealt with Anxiety for a lot time, especially during the bad times... the biggest symptoms for me were constant rumination as well as a constant pit in my stomach... another reason why I think these two things Gerd/Anxiety are often linked.... I definitely think working on the mental health is part of the ongoing solution for fixing gerd. It doesn't hurt anyway.

I am starting tomorrow with Cold Infusion Marshmallow Root (which is supposed to be good for coating throat and intestines track and inflamation,heart burn,reflux etc). Tomrorrow I am starting Iron and B12 supplements. I took the home test for Iron and I'm deficient low. My symptoms are still fatigue,lightheaded,dull headache,jaw pain,anxiety,muscle aches,waking up early,easily startled,mind working overtime. I have to try and figure out what is the main issue Anxiety or low acid or low iron (anemia?). I am 100% convinced that the Anxiety triggers the GERD (or should I say LPR). Still have the occasional gurgling,acid bubble burps and sore throat (although the throat isn't quite as bad as last week).

    For the best results, be sure to use 8.8 pH alkaline water, available in the spring water section at most supermarkets, not tap water. According to a study conducted by Dr. Jamie Kaufman, the ENT who coined the term LPR, alkaline water deactivates pepsin on contact. I use alkaline water to hydrate at night and also while cycling. Do not to drink alkaline water within two hours after a meal, as it will slow down your digestion. (This restriction does not apply to spraying into your throat, however.)

      I have since started using 9.5 pH alkaline water, the Smart Water brand in the plastic bottle with black graphics on it. don't eat oily spicy outside food don't eat chips popcorn etc
    Gargle with salt water 3 times a day atleast
    Don't eat citric fruits like orange lemon grapes
    Don't eat tomatto and never eat raw onion
    Don't eat masala product like maggy pasta etc
    Elevate your head side 6 inches atlease so create a slop so acid don't come up
    Observe if diary milk curd lassi creates problem or not if do than leave them also
    Never sleep or lay down after meal always lay down after 2-3 ours of sleep
    Take dinner early and don't sleep before 2-3 hours after that
    Take small meals 4-5 times a day don't take large meals only eat 60% of your capacity
    Eat soft spiceless fruits
    Take 1/3 little baking soda and drink when you feel irritation and drink every 3 days if possible only little soda not more
    It will kill acid in your throat
    I am suffering from LPR from one year so I have tried and observe every thing
    Also consult ent doctor
    Take 20 minute walk after dinner
    Don't do hard exercise gym or weight lifting it will create more acid reflux
    Don't clear your throat distract your self in some work
    Drink small sips of water when throat stuck feel because clearing throat will irritate it further if you don't clear throat and sip water than your throat will heal in 1-2 day
    Also don't drink too much water at a single time it will create more acid reflux
    Remember this tips will greatly help but going to ent doctor is also required

    I discovered I had silent acid reflux (LPR) a few weeks ago and after doing some research I found out that ACV is good for ppl with low stomach acid and so I tried this it to see if that’s the case with me and it worked. It’s been about a week and a half. I drink it every time I feel any acid coming up my throat and it gave me relief.
    Drink it through a straw ppl.
    Another tip to help with LPR is to gargle with water and baking soda. This will help get the pepsin out of your throat and relieve some of the symptoms that affects your ears and nose. Finally, use honey to help your esophagus heal. I’m so happy to have found a solution so quick because many ppl suffer for years with this. But don’t give up ppl be consistent and have faith that it will work.

      Just a suggestion that might help you (as I've been going through this for 9 months). Because ACV is quite acidic, I would suggest taking the ACV pills instead. Since the issue with the esophagus is acid leaking up, you wouldn't want food or drink high in acidity going down your throat for now until it heals up. At least, that's been my experience.

      That "shortness of breath", in my case, presents as an asthma attack. Your bronchial tubes are likely on fire from this digestive action going on that shouldn't be there. My research has led me to the pepsin gas needing a carrier to make it to your larynx. When your stomach acidity is low (higher than normal pH, 4-5), some bacteria can survive and colonize. I believe this infection produces the carrier gas that abets the journey of pepsin to the larynx. I'll be gargling the baking soda solution and taking 4 doses of apple cider vinegar a day with the hopes of making it past this infection. The only other alternative is a battery of antibiotics that will blow up my gut biome and force me to start over with probiotics. Couldn't get the help I needed from the doc. PPI's, PPI's and PPI's.

    Thanks for your explanation on why silent reflux doesn't cause heartburn. That really made sense. I'm going to try gargling with baking soda. My silent reflux was discovered when I had a stroboscopy to look at my vocal cords. The only symptoms I have are burping, clearing my throat and a hoarse voice. I switched to a low carb diet 3 months ago as I also have a fatty liver and while I'm losing weight and feel better my reflux has got worse. For me it seems to be the more fat content in the food the worse my reflux is after. I'm drinking apple cider vinegar which seems to have helped a little. The baking soda drinking test shows I have low stomach acid.

    • @TheSAHDLife

  • @szakeetm

    Can you help us with one thing? Here you help us balance the acid with an alkaline solution, which makes sense. However, in your follow-up video "The MOST Effective Treatment for GERD and Silent Reflux" you suggest that it's in fact low stomach acid that causes the symptoms. Isn't it a contradiction?

    • @TheSAHDLife
      @TheSAHDLife  5 місяців тому +2

      The message is the same in both... the symptoms are a result of low stomach acid. It seems like the low acid causes the lower esophageal sphincter to relax causing weak but still powerful acid to rise up in the esophagus causing damage and all kinds of issues in the throat. Balancing that acid in the stomach is the most important priority whether you have GERD or LPR. Hope that helps.

    Thank you for this tip.
    Will try gargling with baking soda, hopefully that will help provide some relief. I deal with post nasal drip, along with constant mucus in the throat (at least that's what it feels like), which causes me to constantly want to clear my throat. In turn it makes my throat really raw/sore to the point where it affects my voice quite a bit. This has been going on for a couple years now, and I was told by my ENT that I have allergies, and acid re-flux. I was given an acid reducing medication, which I started but stopped shortly after (I'm bad at remembering to take pills on the daily). Will try getting back on that, along with the baking soda tip. I'd love to be able to talk properly again and not get up with a clogged throat, and constantly try to clear it. It's literally driving me insane the longer it persists.

      I don't believe it goes directly to your lungs. It hits your throat and slides down.... hitting your vocal chords etc.. It shouldn't burn. I would just try it for a day or two and see if you get any relief. If you DO get relief then worry about the little things. FINALLY, no phlegm in throat, sinus congestion or hoarse voice! Well let's call it 90% better. Will stay on for two weeks+ which is supposed to regulate stomach acid back to normal area!! TRY IT! Now I only have to do it maybe once or twice per day, or when I can feel my throat start to burn a little. Also, chewing gum with xylitol in it helped a TON when my throat starts to get a little dry. Your suggestion of cutting down water with meals also is a good one and has helped out a lot. I have also chosen to greatly reduce the amount that I was eating at every meal by at least half in order to get full digestion quicker and eliminate any acid reflux. • @TerrysWiredLife
    @TerrysWiredLife 5 місяців тому +1

    This is caused by the small amount of acid, bile and Pepsin coming up into the throat. So why would you want to take something with more Pepsin, which will aggravate it more. Seems counter productive.

    • @TheSAHDLife
      @TheSAHDLife  5 місяців тому +1

      The thought behind it is that when your stomach acid gets weak in your stomach the les weakens and the acid gets shot up into your esophagus. So you actually want to add more acid to your stomach so that sphincter tightens because of the extra pressure and therefore acid won't get released into your esophagus.

I’m not overweight, I drink moderately, stay up late most of my nights, but the symptoms of Gerd started getting better after I started taking Omeprazole. I didn’t like takin it every single day but whenever I stoped taking them it wud cause worse symptoms. When I went to my doctor they didn’t even mention lpr or didn’t even bother to ask about the throat pain. It’s crazy what a little research can do compared to the health industry.
