As an engineer who has spent much of my career on GP38s, 40s, and switchers, the sound on this mod is amazing!
Someone has got to give kudos to this voice actor for her narration. Spot on!
He's very entertained at the moment.
Harley- "whats next a high hood!??" "And the southern pacific lifht package qith high hood- ah finally, high hood supremacy"
Love the Justin Johnson in the intro! Also, great mod!

I'd love to see an SD9 or SD38 or -2.... but this also means the -40 and the turbo 645e are lurking in the bushes somewhere! lol!

Awesome Sauce
Ah hell yeah
Havent played the game, so I don't know, but out of curiosity, considering the time period (late Steam era) that the game appears to take place in does the E-series, F-series, or GP-7 or the GP-9 exist in the game? Early/transitional diesel units?
Railroader currently has an EMD SW1 and a GP9 as stock options for diesels. There is an EMD F unit mod on nexus currently with a few more diesels in the works by various authors.
@@TheWNCRR Thank you for the info!
The first real "railroad memory" I can think of was my Grandfather taking 5 or 6 year-old me out to Connersville in maybe 1981 or 82, and taking the Santa Clause train to Metamora. After getting our photo with Santa and having snacks, he talked to some of the train crew, whom he knew (he was former L&N, mostly as a welder and electrician, but finished his career there as road crew) and we got to ride up front. I got to pull the brake handle a few times, and the horn once.
When we got back to Connersville, his friend and some of the older fellows on the crew opened up the access panels on the locomotive, and they discussed the engine, motors, and how it all worked. I of course understood none of this, but my Grandpa loved machines, motors and would take them apart and put them back together often, so he undoubtedly enjoyed the conversation. I only really remember the smell, hot grease and metal, and the look of fascination on his face. I also remember the awe I felt as I looked at this incomprehensible thing in front of me, and though my little mind could not fathom it, I knew that is was awesome.
I've loved trains ever since, and this game looks very interesting, and I'm glad that they're adding models for the earlier locomotives.
@@vishnu79 There a quite a few people (Myself included) who got interested in trains the same way. Thanks for sharing your story!
Wait WHAT?
its been deleted soooo i cant find it
I hate high hood foamers. And like they only recognize the Southern high hoods, not the NW ones.
