I used to own a powder blue '58 100E ( at 24:39, just different color) back when I was in high school. I loved that car and wish I could find another like it here in the US. Great fuel economy and easy to work on. At 35:24 is another Ford Anglia whose body style is like one I owned in the middle 60's. Mine was a medium blue. That car was really powerful for it's size and never gave one moment's trouble.
Great coverage of the auction. The amount of editing you must have done aligning your viewing of the cars with the auction price of each one is fantastic.
Glad you enjoyed! As I mentioned in the video there were 250+ classics are it’s nearly impossible to record every single one of them and squeeze it into a reasonable length UA-cam video 👍🏻
I had a Bedford Bambi! Proper Tardis. My son slept abive the cab when he was little. Theres so much atorage and theyre nippy, and can park in a normal car parking space. Great little campers
Another great vid, I appreciate the editing that must go into these but it’s worth the effort. I’ve only just found your Chanel but it’s a really informative and enjoyable watch, top job !
Am in love 😍😍 this car is epic love everything about it the looks sound and speed. Lorna is a keeper for sure she can drive. Thanks for sharing your toy with us and showing us how she should be driven love it. I've shared it on my Cossie powered group on FB love it. Great video guys. I was laughing so much when Stu went to reach for the handle that's not there 😂😂😂
Very nicely done, good range of cars with all the right info and sales price without going through the whole auction process! Just my cup of tea! Thanks for sharing!
my friend in bristol has a blue Fuego turbo :) has worked on my puma / st170 and saabs....we like the quirky stuff... that Amazon was a good buy if sound
Hey MK 2 Mitch Thanks for the video,. I am new to your channel and I am going to give you a thumb up. In future videos when you put up the price of what the vehicle actually sells for, which I am interested in, could you put it in bigger print please.!!!
Interesting video....thanks. Some much lower prices achieved than I would have expected. This may have been covered before, but in case not...the pronunciation of the Renault Fuego Coupe is 'FWAYGO' (Spanish for 'Fire'). I worked for a Renault main dealer in the late '70's and had a brand new red Fuego as a demonstrator. A very nice car (for it's day) and this one was certainly worth the 4K it made at this auction.
I did up an anglia years ago ..rostyle wheels .1300 gt crossflow ..front disc brakes rossa red ..vinyl roof etc etc ..wish i had it now worth a few bob
Hi Mitch, great video as usual. The Renault fuego was a great car. I owned one back in the day. I'll try to say it the way it was in the 80s, Renault fwaygo is the closest you'll get to saying it right 😂 I know you struggled in the video but you doing a great job. I follow Anglia car Auctions and did see you and Lauren at the front filming all the best.
The makers announced at time, that the Renault Due to is pronounced " FWAYGO"! I incidentally on cars with a long ways Speedo, that's called a STRIP speedometer, or RIBBON speedometer. (History lesson!)
Loved the video, as said i to can't remember the last Fuego i saw, my parents loved the Renault 17 Ts coupe at the time. Yes loads of lovely land rovers i saw to and that " big army truck " was a 101 and should have a rover V8 in it, thanks again Mitch 👍
Fantastic video and summary, Mitch. Having seen and heard you at the Auction, I will definitely go along too and see what bargains there are to be had. Thanks so much for sharing, keep 'em coming!
I bought the MG TF from this auction. Not sure I got a great deal, as it was on eof the very few cars across the two days to go above the upper guide price. But seems to be a good un', fingers crossed
Born in the early 50s seeing some of these beauties, like the Ford Anglia (had one in '70) and the 1600e (had one in '72) and loved them both. Makes me feel quite Melancholy...but happy at the same time that I enjoyed owning them .. along with a Mini (who never had one of those) MGB, Ford Van, Hillman Imp, Austin 1100 etc;etc 🤗...thank you for making the video son, thoroughly enjoyed it. 👍
A few decades since ive seen a renault fuego turbo. You used to see them quite a lot back in the day. I always pronounce them to sound like fwaygo, which i think im right in saying. An interesting selection of cars and bikes there. Good video mitch.
Can’t believe that Volvo Amazon went for £3,300, what a bargain! 😮 … saying that, most of them went for way less than I thought. I’d have bought a few 😅
Foo way go. From memory they had a vacuum operated central locking. They could be unlocked by pumping half a tennis ball over the door lock barrel. Great vid Mitch. Keep em coming.👍🏻
Very interesting. Those old classics were selling for much less than I expected. Even the really nice ones were knocked out for less than half the price of a new car. And whereas the newby will drop thousands as soon as you drive out of the showroom, with a bit of TLC these bangers are gonna continue to rise in value, as well as being a doddle to fix and maintain. One other thing - I'm sure I glimpsed an MV Agusta 750S amongst the motorcycles, which would probably be worth way more than any of the cars you featured...
Great video with a nice selection of vehicles some of which at great prices. Especially liked that wooden mini. Any ideas what the A35 countryman at around the 3 minute mark went for?
Great vlog again Mitch , great stuff , Best vlog this year , very poignant watchin this tonight , on the funeral of a Best mate , who i used to go around the auctions with , 3 times a week,in my late 20s ....Tim
Hello Mitch from Australia. Renault Fuego ..... Fuego is Spanish for FIRE !!!!. They were sold in Aussie with a 2 litre non turbo engine. The standard wheels were a METRIC size. Michelin were the only ones to sell metric size tyres and were expensive. Thats why most people fitted 14" wheels because thet could not afford the Michelin Metric tyres. Cheers. Max.
Hi Mich,I don't usually comment but. I believe that in the UK, it is legal to drive a car without tax and mot. If it is booked in for an mot at your local garage. The vehicle would need to be insured, and otherwise road legal, tyres, brakes ext. I recently bought my motorbike this way. Loving your videos, Scott
A really good auction with some real treats going through the doors, I can't remember the last Fuego (foo-ay-go) that I saw. Lauren has good taste, my favourite Mini is a Clubman estate and the green one was gorgeous, the wooden one although very well done.......na!! not for me!
Interesting to see the Renault Fuego - I had one new as a company car, back in the day. Not a particularly great car, I have to say. But good to see one still knocking about.
As you can hopefully understand there were 270 lots at this auction and it would make a 5,6,7 hour long video if I featured them all. If I see another e-type jag at these auctions I will definitely take a look around it 👍🏻
Pretty diverse menu mate fantastic, Love an old ford bought up with them. if only i had kept some the motors i had😁 What was the wood mini all about, it takes all sorts, my daughter thought it was amazing. So good you tried to get the big picture of just how diverse the menu was. Top man Mitch thank you
Hey Mitch, it’s the white beard here, loving the vid, until about half way and get up to the escort van bit, and see the Mitch having a sneaky bid and starts cheering and then it goes over 4000 and assorted swear words in amazement, so yeah future classics definitely, some shockers at auction as usual, keep up the good work, 👍
great video but some of them car prices are crazy the 80s to 90s cars prices i sold a 86 escort 1,3 needed tidy up but sold car £450 last year, i wish id kept my mk1 3lt capri and a custom mk11 3,2 crayford conversion ,id have no idea what that would e worth these days ,i had a mk11 escort with a very scrange gearbox in it it went clockwise instead of forward back to 2rd 2rd was 3rd normal site had to pull it across and up for 2rd 3rd was back from 2rd very odd gearbox never seen one before or since, did have a lot of rally tuned parts on it ,
Renault Fuego ( Fire) those came around early 1990's when Renault bought AMC shares,,,I don't see Japanese cars,, lol ie the Mazda RX series,,I love he those Triumph TR series
Renault Fuego (Spanish for fire), its Foo-eh-go 👍 That Volvo has one of their famous red-block engines, a truly unbreakable engine. They have bigger main bearings than a Ferrari of the same period. A much sought-after engine, I'm surprised it sold so cheap - that engine alone could fetch that asking price.
You do like your Fords , they made great cheap hire cars back in the 80/90’s . Still, I saw a few nice cars you weren’t highlighting, that LHD Fiat was a cracker.
19:38, "not ready for scrapyard yet", just as lauren walks into shot... ford engines were not cross-flow until the escort came out, even that lotus twin-cam was a non crossflow bottom end [few ay go] - total rot-boxes, but fast... that prototype cortina looked like it had dunlop denovo wheels fitted - also fitted on some1275 mini GTs. a 1970's version of runflat tyres, with tiny bottles of tyre foam inside of the wheels, which automatically went off when the tyre went flat, to blow them back up again... right pains to do a puncture repair on, you were supposed to send the wheels back to dunlop each time [never happened] that "big army truck" was a landrover 101, rover V8 engine as standard, no power steering, gearlever behind the seats, + 8 MPG, you need your weetabix to drive them... [it was also in the judge dread film, with a different body fitted]

Great show straight to the sale with out messing around, nice to see your dad , respect
that mini traveller went cheap £5900 I was thinking £10k plus!
Great coverage of the auction. The amount of editing you must have done aligning your viewing of the cars with the auction price of each one is fantastic.
Thank you, I’m glad you noticed the hard work that goes into editing these videos! 😎
Great windows in the Anglia for having a tab on with the kids in the back.
I really love the way you do these videos ..Show the car and show the price it fetches... PERFECT!
So pleased I found this channel.
Thank you, I’m glad your enjoying the channel! 😁

I’m glad you enjoy the format of the videos, thank you for watching! 👍🏻
fuego - pronounced FOO AYE GO 😉
Cheers mate!
Love watching this on a Sunday. Big Up Mate :)
That was Brilliant. I saw some phenomenal classic’s in the background that didn’t get any airtime. Great nostalgic Video. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed! As I mentioned in the video there were 250+ classics are it’s nearly impossible to record every single one of them and squeeze it into a reasonable length UA-cam video 👍🏻

Another great vid, Mitch. Love these. And a nice 50 mins too!
Glad you enjoyed the video! How did you find the longer duration?
my friend in bristol has a blue Fuego turbo :) has worked on my puma / st170 and saabs....we like the quirky stuff... that Amazon was a good buy if sound
Hey MK 2 Mitch
Thanks for the video,. I am new to your channel and I am going to give you a thumb up.

Thank you for watching the video! I have noted and will increase the size of the hammer price next time 😎
07:07 In this video... I had a MK 2 Ford Fiesta mine was a 957 cc version.... Superb little car and ultra-reliable.
Interesting video....thanks. Some much lower prices achieved than I would have expected. This may have been covered before, but in case not...the pronunciation of the Renault Fuego Coupe is 'FWAYGO' (Spanish for 'Fire'). The makers announced at time, that the Renault Due to is pronounced " FWAYGO"! I incidentally on cars with a long ways Speedo, that's called a STRIP speedometer, or RIBBON speedometer. (History lesson!)
Great attempt to explain the pronunciation of the Fuego.
Great video, loved the ones you picked out for viewing. Not sure about the ‘wooden’ mini clubman 😅
Glad you enjoyed my auction picks! I had to record the wooden mini, what a one off!
Loved the video, as said i to can't remember the last Fuego i saw, my parents loved the Renault 17 Ts coupe at the time. Yes loads of lovely land rovers i saw to and that " big army truck " was a 101 and should have a rover V8 in it, thanks again Mitch 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video, wish I looked around that 101 now! 👍🏻
Nice video. The Renault Fuego is pronounce "fway-go".
Haha thank you!
Spanish for 'fire' 😁
The English for fire is Vauxhall Zafira🤣🤣@@visionsinblue7093
Fantastic video and summary, Mitch. Having seen and heard you at the Auction, I will definitely go along too and see what bargains there are to be had. Thanks so much for sharing, keep 'em coming!
Glad you enjoyed the video! The classic sale weekend at anglia car auctions is always a great trip 👍🏻
Great video love the retro cars
I bought the MG TF from this auction. Not sure I got a great deal, as it was on eof the very few cars across the two days to go above the upper guide price. But seems to be a good un', fingers crossed
Sometimes you pay for what you get so hopefully it’ll treat you well! 👍🏻

A few decades since ive seen a renault fuego turbo.

I always pronounce them to sound like fwaygo, which i think im right in saying.
An interesting selection of cars and bikes there.
Good video mitch.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice video.. Good content am seeking a classic mini to ship to Miami but the prices are ridiculous
Great coverage Mitch. Best car by far was the Cortina 1600 Super estate, it's the last car but was well worth the wait. Would love it and use it.
Glad you enjoyed the video, the cortina estate was a personal favourite of mine too 👍🏻
Can’t believe that Volvo Amazon went for £3,300, what a bargain! 😮
… saying that, most of them went for way less than I thought. I’d have bought a few 😅
Yes that was a bargain! I had to double check it sold and it did, final price after fees was £3,564 not bad at all 👌🏻
Sorry but I had to laugh at your Cortina 2000E description, "Road research lavatory" 😂 🚽 I think you mean laboratory! Keep up the good work!
Pretty sure I said laboratory but 🤣 Thank you pal!
EXCELLENT VIDEO AND SOUND GREAR .THANK YOU
Great video buddy can't wait for the next one
Cheers mate! Just released a new auction video. Latest one on my channel 😎
Nice one! These jaunts round the cars are always judged just right!
Glad you like the videos! 👍🏻
Foo way go. From memory they had a vacuum operated central locking. They could be unlocked by pumping half a tennis ball over the door lock barrel. Great vid Mitch. Keep em coming.👍🏻
Very interesting Nick! Not very secure then 😆😆

love these videos, short and sweet descriptions, only thing is if you could make the sold price more bolder, many thanks Mal in Belfast
Glad you enjoy the videos! I will make the auction sold for prices bigger in future videos 👍🏻
Great video with a nice selection of vehicles some of which at great prices. Especially liked that wooden mini. Any ideas what the A35 countryman at around the 3 minute mark went for?
Unfortunately I don’t but you can go onto anglia car auctions website and view the results 👍🏻
Thanks for taking the time to do this video.
Your welcome! 👍🏻
Great video visited Anglia car auctions a few times always a good day out
I agree, great day out!
the Renault fuego was one of the rarest car there! I ain't seen one in decades!
Great vlog again Mitch , great stuff , Best vlog this year , very poignant watchin this tonight , on the funeral of a Best mate , who i used to go around the auctions with , 3 times a week,in my late 20s ....Tim
Thank you Tim, sorry to hear about your loss I hope to keep providing you with auction videos that you enjoy 👍🏻

Hi Max, very interesting facts about the Fuego thank you for sharing!
29:13 : Yes, that's got a GTE Engine. 1.8 OHC.
Thank you for informing me! 😎
Ten to twelve thousand for a Ford Anglia ? Blimey , wish i'd kept tmine in the 1960's. I swopped it for a 500cc twin motorbike and some cash.
Great video but you missed the landrovers Still.
My apologises, I’ll try and record them next time 👍🏻
Man, I seriously wood love to own that wooden Mini !!
Hi Mich,I don't usually comment but. I believe that in the UK, it is legal to drive a car without tax and mot. If it is booked in for an mot at your local garage. Hi Scott, yes your correct if the vehicle is booked in locally you can drive it to a test station 👍🏻
Very good video and review. Thanks for making it guys
Your welcome, thank you for watching 😁
So many memories with my era of car. Love to buy one or two but now too old and stiff, I would never get in and out of them 😢
A really good auction with some real treats going through the doors, I can't remember the last Fuego (foo-ay-go) that I saw. Lauren has good taste, my favourite Mini is a Clubman estate and the green one was gorgeous, the wooden one although very well done.......na!! not for me!
Yes Lauren loves a mini, we will get her one soon! Wooden mini on the other hand has split many opinions 🤣
That there Amazon was nicely designed
That Capri Laser got my attention!
Outstanding Video again Mitch !!
Thank you pal! Glad you enjoyed 😁
The speedo that goes horizontal is called a ribbon cable speedo
Thank you! 👍🏻
Great vid, thank you . The prices at least appear to be more realistic than Mathewsons .
These prices are very competitive and realistic 👌🏻
the black Escort van was nice. Wish we got them in Canada.
Interesting to see the Renault Fuego - I had one new as a company car, back in the day. Not a particularly great car, I have to say. But good to see one still knocking about.
That’s very cool, like many of these cars in the video they probably didn’t mean much back then but are quite rare now!
Great vid, great overview of the cars and love the fact you went straight to the winning bid price.
Glad you enjoyed the video and the format, thank you for watching! 👍🏻
The P6 estate at the start......yes, please.
Blimey! It just reinforces how old I am as I had a lot of those cars. 🤣🤣 Great job! 👏👍
But you got to drive them all! 😎
Another epic vlog really enjoyed thanks😀
Glad you enjoyed! 😎
Cracking e-type Jag next to the white fiesta and you didn’t even mention it let alone show us round it!
As you can hopefully understand there were 270 lots at this auction and it would make a 5,6,7 hour long video if I featured them all. If I see another e-type jag at these auctions I will definitely take a look around it 👍🏻
Fantastic video ive just subscribed, keep up the hard work.
Thank you for subscribing, plenty more classic auction content to come! 👍🏻
How do you start a Renault race? Fuego!
Pretty diverse menu mate fantastic, Love an old ford bought up with them. if only i had kept some the motors i had😁 What was the wood mini all about, it takes all sorts, my daughter thought it was amazing. So good you tried to get the big picture of just how diverse the menu was. Top man Mitch thank you
Glad you enjoyed the video! I’m trying to record a wider selection, so I’m glad you noticed 😁 Wood mini has divided many opinions!
You have a really good, natural, presenting style
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! 😎
Borgward isabella estate, genuinely never seem or heard of one.👍.
The other little car is a trabant I think.
Them escort vans 55 worth a fair bit now the rims on that decrease the price as it’s not got the original steelies on it
Great video but would like more cars other than Ford's I know you love em
Thank you, I’m trying to record more non fords and learn knowledge on them! 👍🏻
The renault fuego is foo like foo fighter aygo like Toyota aygo, foo aygo. There is only 11 left in the UK I believe.
Very interesting, thank you for the information!
Lauren would look so cool driving that green mini ...mind you whatever she drives she looks great
Mini project will be on the channel soon! 👍🏻
Excellent video again mate! That mark 2 fiesta looked 👌. Some very good prices going going through lately as well!
I agree mk2 fiesta was lovely! 😎
Hey Mitch, it’s the white beard here, loving the vid, until about half way and get up to the escort van bit, and see the Mitch having a sneaky bid and starts cheering and then it goes over 4000 and assorted swear words in amazement, so yeah future classics definitely, some shockers at auction as usual, keep up the good work, 👍
Haha hello mate! Yes I knew you’d like that escort van, unfortunately went wayyy too high for me 😎
Another excellent video Mitch
Thank you mate! Glad you enjoyed 😎
Fair play to Lauren going along as most wife’s/ girl friends wouldn’t but when is she going to the auction fever and buy a mini 😂
She’s really supportive of the channel which is great! We have agreed that once my escort is done we will buy her a mini 😎
@@Mk2Mitch looking forward to that as am a huge mini fan
We will hold you to that especially if it’s a restoration
Nice one mitch. The van would have been one that I went for...haha ✌️👍
Cheers Ian! Yes the van was lovely but went too high 😬
great video but some of them car prices are crazy the 80s to 90s cars prices i sold a 86 escort 1,3 needed tidy up but sold car £450 last year, i wish id kept my mk1 3lt capri and a custom mk11 3,2 crayford conversion ,id have no idea what that would e worth these days ,i had a mk11 escort with a very scrange gearbox in it it went clockwise instead of forward back to 2rd 2rd was 3rd normal site had to pull it across and up for 2rd 3rd was back from 2rd very odd gearbox never seen one before or since, did have a lot of rally tuned parts on it ,
Plenty of cars fetching good money, everyone loves a classic 👍🏻
Renault Fuego ( Fire) those came around early 1990's when Renault bought AMC shares,,,I don't see Japanese cars,, lol ie the Mazda RX series,,I love he those Triumph TR series
I’m trying to record all different classic cars and will continue to widen the range on these videos! Including some jap stuff 👍🏻
Great video again Mitch, but could you put sale prices up at better can only just make them out at times
I’ve noted this down and I will put them bigger on the screen next time! 😎
THE LAST CAR THE FORD CORTINA ESTATE HAS HAD THE 1600 E INTERIA PUT IN TO IT POSS. THE ENGINE ASWELL
great video, very well done.
Thank you for watching! 😎
Brilliant vid ...
Thank you!
I really enjoyed that video 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video! 😁
I passed my test in a MK2 Fiesta! Circa 1990!
That mini estate was lovely bargain 😊😁😃😃 E30 Bmw would be my choice dolphin grey 325i m sport 😊😊 used to own a MK1 GTE awesome car.. and many BMWs
Yes I agree the mini estate was very nice! 😎
You do like your Fords , they made great cheap hire cars back in the 80/90’s . Still, I saw a few nice cars you weren’t highlighting, that LHD Fiat was a cracker.
I certainly do like my fords! I’m trying my best to record a wider range of vehicles and that one must’ve slipped though the net!
Great content again 👍
Thank you pal! 👍🏻
Can you remember how much the old sixties ford classic went for been looking for one of those for years
I can't remember unfortunately but if you visit Anglia Car Auctions website they may still have the results for this auction 👍🏻
Ok Mitch thank you
19:38, "not ready for scrapyard yet", just as lauren walks into shot...
ford engines were not cross-flow until the escort came out, even that lotus twin-cam was a non crossflow bottom end [few ay go] - total rot-boxes, but fast...
that prototype cortina looked like it had dunlop denovo wheels fitted - also fitted on some1275 mini GTs. a 1970's version of runflat tyres, with tiny bottles of tyre foam inside of the wheels, which automatically went off when the tyre went flat, to blow them back up again... right pains to do a puncture repair on, you were supposed to send the wheels back to dunlop each time [never happened]
that "big army truck" was a landrover 101, rover V8 engine as standard, no power steering, gearlever behind the seats, + 8 MPG, you need your weetabix to drive them... [it was also in the judge dread film, with a different body fitted]
Another good video I think the MK 11 Cortina GT Rally car was superb I think it would probably cost over £30 000 pounds to prepare to that standard.
I agree! The cortina never sold I believe, provisional prices so would be interesting to hear what it eventually sells for 👍🏻
@9:45 pronounced "fwaygo" i do believe !
I would love to have seen what the Saab and triumph went for and the Peugeot convertible and mgf and so many others….
Apologies, I’m trying to record a selection of vehicles. I will include more in the next auction video, thank you for the feedback 👍🏻
