1. Raiders Raiders of the lost ark is not a movie, it’s a work of art. It’s a flawless movie movie with amazing visuals and effects. Amazing characters with amazing action scenes. Yeah this movie will always stay number one with me and everybody. My Favorite scenes was when the guy who would get his face melted off turned into a manakin at one point and I didn’t even notice until my recent viewing. The scene and of course who can forget Belloc eating the bug? Speaking of Belloc, he’s the best villain by far because of his personality and goals witch are similar to aspects of colonialism. It makes it better when him and indie are compared with people who have different tactics and ideologies, indie likes to preserve history while Belloc uses it for his own personal gain by using other forces to do the work for him. God Marion is one of my favorite girl bosses ever mainly because she was given a personality other than any other girl boss character Disney keeps shitting out claiming, “tHeY aRe ThE fIrSt EvEr!” Shut the hell up, Steven Spielberg beat you to the punch by a good 35 years on that you morons. Indie is his best we’ll ever get in these films, his introduction is probably the best character introductions in cinema, first he’s a mysterious figure in shadows who walks threw thick jungle, when one of the men tries to kill him to get the map he flicks out his whip witch satisfactorily slashes the gun out of the guys hand- I got no words, this is clearly a masterpiece. If you haven’t watched it yet then I will break into you home and make you feel unsafe. 2. Last crusade Last crusade feels a lot slower in comparison to the other indie movies. I think it’s good for the overall tone of the film mainly between indie and his father beautifully casted by John Connery, OG James Bond himself. Yeah this movie is great, indie and his fathers relationship is enduring in every conceivable way, they are both torn apart by their own desires and outlooks on one another witch wasn’t pleasant to say none the least. There were returning character witch for some reason people back in 1989 thought was repetitive for some reason, the villain is a pretty great twist villain including the love interest Elsa, in witch at first the film wanted to make us believe she was gonna be the love interest until BAM! Secondary twist villain, that’s some good shit right there. Rewatching it you can tell something was fishy about her. Anyway the Holy Grail itself, kinda feels wasted. I’m kinda disappointed they never gave us any build up on this biblical item like the Ark from raiders. It should’ve have more of an impact like it’s the cup that held the blood of Jesus Christ, like Jesus Christ it’s Jesus Christ. Anyway yeah, to me it’s a perfect send off to a no longer trilogy…hooray! 3. Temple of Doom This one in the trilogy used to have been my favorite as I kid and now I know why. The climax is action pact and the effects (mostly) still surprisingly hold up from a movie made in 1984. Anyway this movie is kind of a step down from raiders. I found the second act extremely tedious and I was just waiting for the epic climactic 3rd act to wake me up from my Boredom coma. The love interest still sucks, like, she and Indie gets together at the end. What dose indie see in her?? Short was kinda annoying to me as a kid but as time when on I got accustomed by the kid and his relationship to Indie was wholesome, still a HUGE improvement from Mutt. The villain stated off really good as this nefarious cult leader who Hypnotizes individuals from pancake ( I liked calling it that as a kid) palace above for his own personal gain, until he isn’t good anymore. His death scene was so hilariously cheap that anyone could’ve made it, and the alligators below rolling like dogs to be fed a treat is the Cherie on top. It’s the weakest in the trilogy, but trust me there are two other movies that are worse. 4. Dial of destiny Man I’m so disappointed this movie didn’t meet my expectations. It’s feels so bland and lifeless that makes me question in I even liked crystal skull, that movie still sucks to me so I’m clearly not Delusional. What makes this movie better than crystal skull is that it has a way better villain, better effects (mostly) and Harrison ford who is thankfully not board half of the time in this one. The McGuffin this movie probably may be as dumb as the aliens in the last film, but at least creates tension to the villains and indie. The actions scenes were thankfully great the whole way threw, they really do a great job with all of them. Oh yeah There’s indies god daughter that’s one of those dumb Disney girl bosses, probably the best one because she’s somewhat has a character. The ending isn’t too great but at this point I’m not gonna spoil anymore, this movie was released just yesterday so that’s all I’ll have to say for now. 5. Crystal skull Ah kingdom of the crystal skull. This movie feels like a Saturday morning cartoon given a Hollywood movie budget. Look, I know George and Steven wanted to go for a 1950s alien B movie vibe with this film, but I’m sorry this just don’t integrate well into an Indiana Jones movie. Not only that but the characters are flat and boring except for indie and maybe in a fleeting moment mutt, Marion just took a back seat in this one because she was introduced by the middle of the movie, the villain that I forgot the name of was BORING. She could’ve been more well suited in an Indiana Jones TV show. Her death was the most hilarious shit I’ve ever seen, and It’s a treasure to meme for the rest of eternity. I’ll never play Lego Indiana Jones 2 or this movie, you can tell George Lucas and Steven Spielberg that they’ll never eat lunch in this town ever again. I’m joking obviously, I can respect if you think the aliens in crystal skull was amazing addition to the Indiana Jones universe, actually your better off keeping that to yourself.
